    And you can use plugin "Advanced Scene switcher" with parametr "if "AUDIO - Guest one cam" source is MORE than "-15" - switch to scene to the "main 3"" !!! And guests will be AUTOMATICALY highlighted when they are will be speaking. XD

    I've been using this method for my podcast as we started adding in video episodes. It's a fantastic method as long as you aren't afraid to play around with settings.

    To share audio vdo ninja suggests virtual audio cables and you could just use virtual camera and only show the director camera

      Absolutly! then they would hear the stream, but they would also hear themselves which can be VERY distracting.

    For live streaming, compared to Streamyard, what are the guests actually seeing on their end? Do they need to have another tab/browser open to RUclips? Thanks for this video... it really dummied things down for this dummy! Great stuff here...

      As someone who has DM'd online (various map/game programs) a few times, with streaming on discord or twitch, I have a few questions. Which version of D&D? What do you use for the maps? Do you have public recordings of your sessions? My apologies if you find the questions intrusive.

      @@Bipolar_Expedition I have never recorded or streamed a session yet (only just got into this RUclips channel thingy lol) but the last campaign I run during lockdown was on roll20 with Skype. I basically searched google for maps and put them on roll20. This would speed setting up the chat and overlay settings each session massively! Hope that helped and made sense.

    Morning Michael ! Just grabbed a coffee and am about to watch this ! I'm new to OBS. I have a few beginner questions, where is the best place to ask them ? - example, - I have been streaming videos, and had just one "source" in my source list - it is a "media source" . That said - yesterday I added a second source, and realized that this newer source was taking first spot.... I would try and get my usual media source running as usual, but noticed the new source was kind of "overpowering it" as it was the one wanting to be shown.... I eventually realized that to get my original source running ( it is now 2nd on that list of sources ) I had to click on the newer one that was overpowering the first and click it the "eyeball" to OFF.... and then everything works fine..... so my question is - is this the correct way to do this ? .... It's a difficult question to describe and I couldn't find this on your channel so thought I would ask here.... maybe U can do a video on this..... anyway thank you for reading this Michael !

    • @MichaelFeyrerJr
      @MichaelFeyrerJr  5 месяцев назад +2

      That way will work fine. The sources work as layers. So the top one is on top and the rest are below. You can order them any way you want in the source list.

    oh man, you've make my day shine today, this method looks awesome, and it maked me think about, how about setting the transitions to be aplied via voice activation?, I mean, if the microphone of a guest, or mine capture sound, then the transition would put the scene where that one is "on top" active, that would be amazing!!
    thanks Michael, for making my mind go more creative today ^_^

    Suggestion: I wanted a way to setup VDO Ninja, but not need to update the links depending on the guest. What I did, was I used the "scene" links from VDO Ninja, instead of the Solo links.
    I dock the VDO Ninja Control Center into OBS, and all I need to do is add guests to s2, s3, s4, etc... in VDO Ninja, and then they will automatically appear in OBS.
    Everyone get's the same link to join a room. I assign them to a VDO scene, no editing in OBS.
    Aside: Have you found a way that I could bring up a Social Stream message and have the camera views automatically adjust based on the size of the message? Similar to what StreamYard does, but I want to use OBS and Social Stream.

    How stable is video ninja? I’ve been using StreamYard but am still nervous about sticking with it going forwards. This could be a potential solution for me but it would need to be bulletproof to convince the client to switch.

    • @MichaelFeyrerJr
      @MichaelFeyrerJr  5 месяцев назад +2

      Streamyard is a paid app that has support because you pay for it. I will always recommend something like that for client work because it’s another layer of protection if something goes wrong. I use vdo ninja a lot and have never experienced any issues as long as all the network connections are good. Guests with weak connections can have pixelated or low res video from time to time, but the audio has always been spot on even when the video is low res for those guests.
