  • What a way to end my spring break. Today, I went over to Sonoma to film Sonoma Garbage Collectors, a small, local company that collects Garbage, Recycle, and Greenwaste for Sonoma. As requested by WesternWasteMangement, I finally worked up enough nerve to go film.
    Now for some info.
Sonoma Garbage Collectors runs a variety of equipment to collect waste, such as, Volvo Wittke FELs, and new Heil Freedoms. Featured in this video are 4 out of 6 trucks that SGC has. I was lucky enough to find some of them on route. All the drivers were really friendly and SHOUTOUT to Lucas. Hopefully you find my channel! :)
According to one of the managers at the yard, Manny, he said he was partners with John Curotto Sr. and started this company. He told me there yard is where some of the earliest models of the Curotto Can originated from. Manny said he worked for Waste Management for 29 YEARS, before Northbay Corp. took over.
I am really happy I got the chance to film in Sonoma. Especially since I had plans later today. Thank you to all of the drivers for letting me pester you and follow you around, especially you Lucas ;)
Thank you to the driver(s) for letting me film!
Napa Recycling, these videos are for entertainment only. I do not want drivers to be punished or for what I am doing. If you have any questions about anything the drivers are doing wrong, send me an email @ garbagetrucksareawesome1@gmail.com BEFORE using my videos. Thank You. - Garbage Trucks of the Napa Valley

I haven’t seen a Curotto can in person since like 2015 since Aj and Hector now have Heil Pythons for Recology.

Wow what a great video Garbage Trucks Of Napa Valley! Thank you for going there, your video came out great and you got a lot accomplished! I see the Commercial Bridgeport is parked at its normal spot, thats great! That Wittke sure operated good and I really like the roar they let out! Who were the drivers of the Wittke and the Heil? That Heil driver was incredibly fast and I enjoyed his operating style. They made the Curotto Can on the Heil to be like the new Dedicated Curotto FL where the Curotto Can does not come off (arm, grippers, other parts are different from the current Curotto Can). That is the one and only one I have seen this point online so congratulations. When I was in Temelec the Heil went to the yard early that day for repairs so I missed out on filming it unfortunately. By chance did you see Raul who was the Wittke driver in my video, or Matt the Route Manager who drove the Bridgeport Curotto Can in my video? Thank you again for going there, WMmaster626 will tell you I have really been looking forward to this video. This is my favorite video from you and I hope you can return to Sonoma in the future!

WesternWasteManagement Thanks! I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. I really like the Heil. The Heil drivers name was Lucas. Really nice guy. No, I didn’t see Raul or Matt which was surprising because the Wittke in this video was his truck. If I am correct, I believe the Curotto can on the Heil is the new 2018 Curotto can. Not sure though. I didn’t get the drivers name sadly. Glad you enjoyed. Look forward to more!

I'm glad to hear that and a knew you would, especially since this is where the Curotto Can was originally made. Lucas was incredibly fast, he reminds me of this WM driver WMmaster626 and I have filmed in Eastvale named Jaime. I have no idea where Raul could be but I did not see the Bridgeport Curotto Can in the yard so I bet Matt was on the CRV route. The Heil and Curotto Can were made at the end of 2016 and I saw the same Curotto Can in March 2017. That Curotto Can is based off the dedicated Curotto Can ( ruclips.net/video/_gjs2XQBkGM/видео.html ) which has several new parts such as grippers, arm, steel arm protector bars. The brand new Curotto Can I found at the end of Summer 2017 did not have those new dedicated parts other than the steel arm protector bars ( ruclips.net/video/6HRHpwEXrVQ/видео.html ). Is Manny also the Roll Off driver and mechanic? Your video came out great and I'm definitely looking forward to another one!

Thanks for the compliment. I am the driver of the Heil. It's a great truck. I am only as good as the truck.

@@lucaswilliams2967 You are welcome Lucas, nice to hear from you. You guys have a fast and efficient team in Sonoma. I was hoping to film your truck when I was in Sonoma in 2016, I found the Curotto Can from your truck detached on a street in Temelec but I was informed the Heil had an oil leak and your truck was back at the yard. Does Sonoma still run 4 trucks (2 Wittkes, the Bridgeport and your Heil) on residential or are there more residential trucks now? I’m hoping to go back to Sonoma in the next few years for another video and hopefully catch you and Mr. Curotto on on route next time.

We run the Heil, 07 Bridgeport, and we got a newer split body side loader. I think its a autocar Labrie. Not sure though 🤔

WMmaster626 Thanks! Gotta love a Autocar Heil combo. I do have plans to go back it soon. Get some more video. Maybe stick around for a yard tour. Oh, and while we’re on the topics of new trucks, Napa just got 2 Brand New Peterbilt 520 Labrie Wittke Starlight front loaders. Look forward to a video of those! Glad you enjoyed :)

DECENT! You know where Wednesday route is by chance? Now I want to film SGC too!

NorCal Waste Trucks I have no clue where the Wednesday route is. But the Monday route is in Temelec, which is about 10 minutes southwest of The City of Sonoma. I suggest going early because these guys start at like 3:30-400am ish and finish around 12:00-12:30pm. If you choose to go to the yard, ask for Manny. He’ll give you the routes. Very friendly guy. You’ll have a blast in Sonoma. Thanks for commenting!
