Ola Englund of Solar Guitars has made a new line of guitars that targets the beginner to intermediate class of guitarist with a budget alternative to the renowned Solar Guitars. Hi, great video! How do these S by Solar news guitars actually compare to other entry-level guitars by bigger brands? Are they like Jackson JS series, Ibanez GIO series and so on? Thanks
Hey thank you so much for watching and enjoying my video! As far as I can tell the S by Solar holds its own against other budget brands for sure. The Gio and other budget styled guitars seem to have a natural wood fret board where the S by Solar has black tech wood for the fretboard. From what my research tells me the black tech wood is a man made wood, but its really good for climate control. So it should crack which is really nice. I'm definitely happy with my purchase 😁

@@HighImpaktAudio I saw in the website jackson js22-7 more cheaper than S by solar ab4.7. 199$ vs 299$. But here in Indonesia, S by solar more cheaper than jackson js22-7. The difference about 20$. Both made in China..

I was so glad to see the second box! Haha I remember getting guitars that would be in a giant box, and then inside was the more form fitting box for the guitar. Both of them being more form fitting makes more sense to me so I was really glad to see that 😁

I have 2 of the s by solar V’s and the pickups are very bass-y. I couldn’t get the bass out with the amps eq. I have swapped the pickups on one of them and it changed the guitar for the better (also swapped out the nut and polished the frets)
Great video what's your normal or most used tuning for seven string
Hey thank you so much for watching, and enjoying! My most used tuning for 7 strings is AEADGBE drop A just feels right. Though I'm playing around with F# and G as well
Is your top string thicker than what came on the Guitar? Sits higher in the nut?
Hello! Yeah the low string is thicker gauge. I figured I'd get it filed a bit to help the thicker gauge fit better, and solve the note being sharp. Shouldn't be an issue 😁 thank you so much for watching!
