if you boil the water in a pan on the stove then let it cool to room temperature, then boil it again and cool a little then pour into ice cube trays the end result will be a perfectly clear ice cube :)
Emmy you are so goofy and silly in the best possible way. You are also always positive and that is such a refreshing change I can't get enough of your videos. So keep doing what you're doing you are awesome!!!!!!!
That is so cool and perfect for this time of year. Cool cubes you made too. and I always love your antics at the end, you should have your own tv show.
Really fun little project. Small tip: If you want the water to freeze as clear as possible, boil it first :) Make sure it's cooled down before you pore though, so you don't melt your candies :)
The whole point of those, I would think, is that when they unfreeze in someone's drink, it'll surprise them because there would be a random "eyeball" floating in their drink. Great video though. ;)
Emmy when I say this I don't just mean it for this video I mean it for everyone of your videos: ok so first of all your actually amazing!! In every video you describe everything so we'll it's crazy!! And you make AMAZING VIDEOS!!!! And your so entertaining and I watch your videos like everyday
there are some ways you can make clear ice. one is that you use distilled water, another is that you boil your water twice (letting it cool in between) before freezing it and the last one is covering your ice tray with something, like plastic wrap. Basically it is all about removing and keeping out air and particles from your ice! Like this so that people can see it and try it with their ice!
you can get clear ice by using ridiculously pure water or by boiling the water twice and then covering the ice cube tray with saran wrap. But cloudy ice will clear up after it melts a little and it usually clears up pretty quickly in soda. The radish one was the coolest and would be awesome in cocktails (don't fancy radish flavoured soda) you could use a lychee for a sweet version, but it wouldn't have the veining effect.
Nicely done, Emmy! Ya, you can try using distilled, purified, bottled, filtered, or reverse osmosis filtered water instead. Or also boil your water first, then freeze. Or try a combination of both distilled water and boiling to get the most clear ice cubes. So entertaining and educational... Keep them coming, Emmy!
i suggest freezing the ice cubes and the half way thru the freezing process add the eye candy so that it shows up more on the surface. i also suggest starting you ice with room temp or warm water so that is freezes slower and turns out clearer.
Hi Emmy ! :) I have a little request for you. What if you make a video of what emmy eats in one week? You would basically take a picture of every meal that you ate through the week and show us what a true foodie eats in regular week.I think it would be really interesting for many of your subscribers and maybe it would shut down the haters who say you eat too much candy :) Please like this so Emmy can see it! :)Thank you (sorry for my english)
I bought the gummy sampler kit last year...came with candy blood, gummy fingers, the gummy eyes and candy bones(I think I got it from Walmart?). It wasn't too bad, but the eyes took forever to chew!! I've wondered how well they'd turn out in cocktails though...may have to try this year ;)
we made something like this (by accident the first time...freezing fruit for the dogs) and it comes out much better than the kit. put a blueberry in a round ice cube tray and add water. it's unbelievably realistic looking. it even makes "veins". we were a little grossed out at first!
I have a dollar market nearby my home. They sell gummy eye candy inside. I use those because there the same used in the kit. Then add water to a tray with the gummies in it.
Monsters INC. Made eyeball candies that are very much like those. so instead of buying a whole ice tray you could just get the gummies. looks way cool with the raddish.
The reason that the gummys are mushy with a hard centre is do to osmosis. The candy took in a lot of the water before it was frozen so that is why they do not taste so great.
I'm sure you could stuff a lychee with some sort of candy or gummy and freeze that to look like an eyeball. Might be more pleasant tastewise as it melts
You could use grapes also... the white ice and red/purple grapes.. I think they taste better my friends mom would always do that for halloween. The radish one looks cool but probably wont mix well with drinks? Mix it up and use green grapes for witches eyes :P
I have heard that frozen water is a little more clear when using boiled water...? Maybe that would help with the opacity? :) Either way, I loved the look of the radish one. Mwahahahahaha!!!!
I googled "How to make clear ice cubes (the internet is great). Supposedly, if you boil distilled water (I think boiling removes the air and distilling removes the minerals) you have a better chance of clearer ice.
I think if you boil the water first before freezing, they turn out clearer :)
the radish one would be GREAT for something like a bloody mary!

Thanks, Everyone for the warm/boiling/distilled water tip. I got it. :)
"Very cold." ...I hope you weren't expecting anything different. xD
Come see the duck!! :D

The end was totally worth the wait. Funny
I just adore your videos :) Thanks for sharing once again!
I love your endings Emmy

You like you look like cameron dallas
I really like your videos I just recently started watching your videos and I love them you do really cute videos Thanxs!!
That radish is gnarly! Super creative. Oh Martha Stewart!

I agree the raddish eye looks spooky
the radish eyeball is fantastic!
Love the ending
The radish looks so cool!

Good video Emmy! Keep them coming!
The radish one was really cool!
The last shot was worth the whole video.

FINALLY!!! something interesting that comes from america!!!😃

the surprise can be when the ice melts haha
Come see the Duck - boiling water for his/her clear ice cubes! ;) sorry.. couldn't resist.. o_O Great vid as ever lovely!
Boiling water is a great idea for clear ice cubes but the gummies will dissolve in warm or hot water easier than in cold water.
I bought the gummy sampler kit last year...came with candy blood, gummy fingers, the gummy eyes and candy bones(I think I got it from Walmart?). It wasn't too bad, but the eyes took forever to chew!! I've wondered how well they'd turn out in cocktails though...may have to try this year ;)
I saw those in the store today! That looks neat.
Lychee and blueberry - best eyes!
we made something like this (by accident the first time...freezing fruit for the dogs) and it comes out much better than the kit.

As ice melts it gets clearer too! So you could just leave em out a few mins before serving.
Helps to boil the water before u pour into the tray to make the water more clear
I think the radish one would be awesome in a caesar since they're garnished with olives anyway sometimes
I just love this video defiantly going to try this :)
if you boil your water and let it cool the water is clear once you freeze them, I got the that tip from Pinterest
hot water goes on clear when you freeze and it freezes a lot faster too than cold or room temp water.
You can boil the water first before you pour it in the ice cube tray for clear ice cubes
The reason that the gummys are mushy with a hard centre is do to osmosis. The candy took in a lot of the water before it was frozen so that is why they do not taste so great.
Gotta used like distilled water sui that it freezes clear. Get all the impurities out so it doesn't freeze with the bubbles.
The homemade one looks best!
Cool I love your videos
try to boil the whater before you freeze it. this will help you to avoid the bubbles and make the ice clear.
I live in the US.
To avoid those bubbles in the ice cubes, you have to cook the water before freezing. Cook some water, let it cool down and then freeze it :)
I love your videos your so awsome and cool
I like most vegetables raw. The radishes are a great idea.
hey! aren't those taffy things from one a different emmyeats?
I am soooo running to target next chance and check out their Halloween stuff :)
Tip: you can use/freeze boiled water for crystal clear ice cubes!
The end is so funny
Boiling the water helps the ice freeze clear
Someday, I hope. :)
3:16 Ice with eyes into so great idea! ;D
I hear if you boil the water it makes clear ice.
boiling the water then leaving it to cool will still make it clearer
To get clear ice, use distilled water or boil it before and let it cool a bit. :)
I'm sure you could stuff a lychee with some sort of candy or gummy and freeze that to look like an eyeball. Might be more pleasant tastewise as it melts
If you buy this kit, i recommend using boiling water for the ice cubes because it freezes completely clear. (:
You could use grapes also... the white ice and red/purple grapes.. I think they taste better my friends mom would always do that for halloween. The radish one looks cool but probably wont mix well with drinks? Mix it up and use green grapes for witches eyes :P
You can use a litchee and cherries to make eyeballs :D
The end LOL
You should boil the water, wait until it's cold and then pour it in the ice cube tray and freeze it ;) never tried it but it's supposed to work :)
I've heard that distilled water makes clearer ice as well.
LMFAO stop at 4:51 Lolz xD
Uhmmmm... I really can't imagine putting radish and olives in my Coke xD
But the idea with the selfmade candy eyeball is great! :)
:) I love this video :3
Hey Emmy what part of japan do you live in?
You can use warm or boiled water to make it not fog
if you boil the water before you fill the tray there won't be bubbles and they will be clear :D
so cool
I have heard that frozen water is a little more clear when using boiled water...? Maybe that would help with the opacity? :) Either way, I loved the look of the radish one. Mwahahahahaha!!!!
Hot water will make it freeze clearer but to really make it clear you have to use distilled water and boil the hell out of it.
that radish one was turning in the water and it looked pretty freaky XD
I wanna see what your family looks like Emmy :)
When you add water or Liguid you can see it
Wouldn't the water taste bad after the eyeball ice melted?
to have clear ice you have to boil water twice, so the oxygen would "get out"
if you boil the water first and then freeze it, the ice will be more clear :)
Cool!
If you use boiling water (or just hot so you don't risk melting the gummy's or whatever you are freezing) will make the ice come out clear :)
I googled "How to make clear ice cubes (the internet is great). Supposedly, if you boil distilled water (I think boiling removes the air and distilling removes the minerals) you have a better chance of clearer ice.
Nope. You better tell me again...something about water and making it hot? or something...? :)
U can actually use hot or warm water to get clear ice :)
I got those but just ate the gummy eyes and used the tray for normal ice cubes.
I think, instead of using boiling water, you use distilled water, you will get clear ice!
try to do it with hot or boil water thin put it in the freezer it well be clean ... try it please you will see the difference
You can put those radish eyes in salads or something
you got to hate when you have metal tooth feelings and then someone bites into an ice cube
But wouldn't hot water sort of melt the candy?
It would help make clear ice by boiling hot water and pop it in the freezer immediately
Boil the water, let it cool and then use it. The ice will turn out completly clear!
If you boil the water then pour it into the tray and then freeze it, it'll be clear
If u want it clear and bubble free cook the water first before adding it and freezing it in
