  • I had used the Glider Sim for a few months while I waited for my motor to show up. Now that I've flown, I wanted to revisit the sim and see if it was accurate. Would I buy again? Yes!

had this program for a while now in my steam collection toyed with the idea of harness and bungies as well to mimic brake pressure . seems i may need to revisit this again , cheers Avery

I haven't flown yet but started my ground training, also played this for a few months. One difference I'm curious about from someone whose actually flown is arm fatigue in this sim; don't know if it's because I'm using index controllers where you have to squeeze to obtain grip on the breaks but after 15-20 min in this my arms are TIRED!

You do still get arm fatigue while flying, but it takes longer. You can hold the riser or stow the brakes in flight, but when you do use pressure your arms are hanging from the brakes. I'd say it takes twice as long for your arms to get tired while actually flying compared to sim. Take a look at my flight #5 video, you can see about half way through the video I rest my arms on the swing arms of the frame.

@@AveryFlies Oh, and if I only watched 1 minute more you answered my question in the video. 😆
Thanks for posting the video. I started in late 2021 but weather blew us out so I started messing with this. I was always curious as to how "real" the experience was; good to know that the break pressure alleviates some of the strain keeping your arms up for so damn long, and the rest of if is OK too!

No you don’t t because your hands hanging from the brakes as regular pressure you keep in your wing to have the feel back of what happens upstairs
