- Ay up viewers and friends! In this series you'll see the entire fabrication process of making a mini log burner - a little wood burning stove for heating small spaces such as camper vans & RVs , caravans, sheds, summerhouses, small workshops and more!
In this video (PART 1), we get started on making the body and door of the burner.

You could also put a Dutch oven on it to bake with.
My night time viewing is complete now this series has started
Really great to hear that, mate! Thanks for watching, glad you like the videos :)
for glass door - use old metal halide/ street lamp / industrial light lenses. Also some new LED outdoor lamps have tempered glass lenses
@@thedavesofourlives1 I've also been told recycling oven doors or Pyrex can work
my mans rockin the mullet 😎

Very inventive & skillful Andre ! Also relaxing & meditative to watch.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Just looking from a distance I love the thickness of your steel used for the box.
Thanks! It's only small, so I could get away with using thinner steel 😄
@@AndreTKemp Yeah, but it's better than what I've seem around

Thanks a bunch! Hope you liked the video. I have a bit of a dilemma in part 2! 😅

That’s a great idea! 😎
Thanks for the support, guys ✌
Sickkk
Thanks, my man! X
You’re mint
Haha 😁 Cheers, Mikey! Hope you're safe and well ✌
the burn box will buckle!
Lovely video mate. Did you ever sort out some glass for it? I built a little log burner around this sort of time last year as well but not quite as neat as this. - You can get heat proof glass on eBay uk. The seller I got my bit from had all sorts of random sizes so there'd easily be a bit the right size.
All the best
Andy
Hey, glad you like the video 😊
I’ve not managed to make one with a glass front quite yet, but will probably revisit it in the future. It’s on my list.
Thanks for the comment. Glad you’re enjoying the content ☺️
treat yourself to a gas lense chief. clean the steel with acetone before tigging itll be perfect tig welds after that.
also I use a oven pyrex dish lid for my log burner, good for 300'c 😉
Yeah, I actually got a gas lens shortly after this project! Sure does make a big difference 😊
@@AndreTKemp there some cheap kits on ebay that do a selection of lenses for under 30 quid. not sure of your background but if you keep that steel seriously clean your welds will be perfect. what machine you got?
In my final year of my level 3 apprenticeship, my dude! Running a little esab buddy TIG. Just in my garage making these videos as a hobby outside of work. How about yourself? Where are you from, brother? 😊
@@AndreTKemp Nottinghamshire way, originally coded for structural steel but making my own stuff now. I wasn't picking faults just giving tips. my mates just got a new tig and its a hard thing to grasp straight off. keep the videos coming. I binge watched them all last night
@@rockinnathan I didn't take it as you picking faults, don't worry! Most people don't realise how skill based TIG welding is, so it can be a long learning process. Cheers for the tips, brother! I do welcome the feedback :) hope your friend manages to stick with it!
Thank you so much for checking out my channel and watching my videos! The support means a lot. All the likes and comments help out loads, so it's much appreciated 🙏🤝
How much for one of these bro? I live off grid and would love this!
Hey, cheers for the interest. I'm not really making them to sell, but could possibly discuss things with you more and possibly sell you this one. I'm unsure of the legal aspects of making and selling things like this (whether they need testing or a CE mark etc)
The best place to discuss it with me is via my Instagram page... do you have Instagram? Find me @andretkemp
Thanks again! 🙂
@@AndreTKemp I understand buddy! I'm not on insta, you got Facebook?
How have you got on with this, have you used it much? Was the 3mm thick enough?
Great vid, cheers.
Hi mate do you sell your woodburning stove and how much and how can I get one cheers
Hey, mate! Really glad you like the stove. I'm not currently selling or doing commission orders, but the best place to see if I sell or give away anything is on my Instagram @AndreTkemp

Thanks for getting in touch ✌
@@AndreTKemp I've just sent a message on instergram and that size would of been perfect in my van I'm doing up one word GUTTED but keep up the brilliant and talented work your biggest fan in woodburning stove
Thanks so much, my dude! Thrilled that you like it so much 😁 hope you're safe and well ✌
Do you have the plans available?
Unfortunately not, my friend! I don't make them commercially, just for myself/for fun. I do explain things in the video though :)
