I am so excited for the H1 sample guide. It's gonna be MORE ACCURATE, than say The Sorrow's sample guide or Context Switch's sample guide for H1. You couldn't have done this without all of our help from us! Anyways, enough of me rambling, I can't wait for this sample guide!
The Libet Delay sections are the one of the only parts that actually unsettled me in EATEOT. It felt like the music could implode at any time with the random pauses.
This theme feels like a war, with layer 1 being a discussion, and layers 4 and 5 being the nukes. Layer 6 is the result, with all bliss destroid beyond recognition
I've listened to this same track multiple times, but now that I'm slightly delirious due to a cold, it's a lot more impactful on my senses and state of mind. Now I feel like I'm genuinely going insane.
Layer 1 of H1 _Post Awareness Confusions_ actually scared me - for some reason - the first time I heard it, it doesn't help that it shows up multiple times. It actually spooked me when I can sort of recognize bits of it in stage 5. I listened to the whole 6 hour collection of albums, yet somehow this amalgamation of _Libet's Delay_ was stuck to my head long after I finished listening to the entire project; it almost kept me from sleeping, I don't know why.
This is incredibly well made and very much keeps the positive aspects of the G1 sample guide you made: Readable(no sample image overlap) and accurate samples, opinions on layers, a layer guide at the bottom, and simple but very effective video effects like blurs and background changes. Here's other stuff I really liked about this new guide: Additional explanations (as an example, for the vocal blips from It's all forgotten now), soft panning samples (for Isolated lights in L4), and I also really appreciate the effects on Layer 3 with blurs in the silent parts. All I can say is that I can't wait for your next sample guides, and I am really, really looking forward to seeing how your sample guides for Stage 5 tracks will turn out. Now some comments/opinions on the layers of H1: Layer 1: I agree this one is overrated, but I really appreciate: how you can hear some parts of the layer multiple times (For example, 0:44 repeats at 2:47), the moments of silence with weird static, and also the clicking because of the scrambling (and also maybe additional effects) Layer 2: I completely agree, this layer sounds amazing, it's even my favorite. Because of how blissful it is, and the long reverb. Layer 3: Same as layer 2, except it's not my favorite layer. I prefer Entanglement synapse ache, but which do you prefer? Layer 4: Maybe you were a little harsh on that one, but I agree that this one is not really enjoyable. My favorite part is when you can start hearing A New Kind of Girl... Layer 5: Really the best example of an overrated layer, it's not bad, but it's gotten a LOT of attention. Did you know that the sample is technically not directly Granada from Mantovani, but rather an Unreleased Memory from The Caretaker (BBC Radio 6 Guest Mix)? Layer 6: I have nothing to say, except that a lot of people overlook the loud windy sound in the background; I personally find this noise rather disturbing, and the layer is a lot more dark then I feel a lot of people say.

I love how H1 is the “peak” of Stage 4. It has great sections, although H1SA is repeated to often, which is my biggest complaint about the track, but it’s definitely one of the best PA tracks in EATEOT, and a great followup to G1. It’s really unfortunate this entire track is overshadowed by the Hell Sirens. False Memory Syndrome carries H1SC. H1SA is the weakest section in H1 honestly. H1SD is good actually. So yeah, can’t wait for the I1 sample guide, even if i’m really not the biggest fan of I1.
H1L4/SD sounds very amazing! The chemistry of the panning static and A6's droning feels like somewhat of swimming in the Mariana Trench. DS/FD's panning chorus is like unknown sounds in the deep. I love H1L4/SD.
I always liked Section A because the instruments are strong enough that it feels like a coherent memory keeps trying to break through, but it just can't.
Something you've missed is that the first appearance of "A new kind of girl..." in Layer 4 actually keeps playing until at least 11:21, and it may be just me but I think the sample plays again at the end of the layer when Layer 1 fades in, specifically between 13:29 and 13:31, though I'm not sure of this one. But nevertheless, you did an amazing job with this sample guide! It's definitely an improvement from previous attempts! (No offense to those people who made the previous guides)
@@FortuneEight__ You can not recognize most parts, though. Still, some notes may stand out. Also, Libet Delay is basically just a distorted version of Libet's Delay. And G1S1... Yeah, those random noises that seem to resemble gibberish or moaning in this section? It's Misplaced In Time. How you could decipher the garble of Stage 4 and the utter mess of Stage 5 is really a testament to how keen some eyes may be. Stage 6? Yeah, it'll need a lot of delays. Speed them up, and you'll get either messes or coherence, there's no telling which. Because they're slowed down to unrecognizability. If there's a mess, you need a sample guide.
My thoughts on this rather more hellish, yet otherworldly track: Tracks/Samples mentioned are in _italics._ Emphasis on points are represented in *bold.* Layer 1: Who knew that chopping, slowing, and reversing _Libet’s Delay_ could make this terrifying sound? Like C2 in G1, _Libet’s Delay_ kinda sounds like voices. The horns and trumpets sound like they are wailing in pain and crying out for help, but they are only crying out into the void. The piano noises only feel like attempts to remember. Layer 2: The pitchmapped samples here sound so distorted, yet not losing or gaining speed. _It’s All Forgotten Now_ seems kinda dreamy, in the most otherworldly way. _Increasingly Absorbed in His Own World_ has a melody I can actually tell out and hear. _An Empty Bliss Beyond This World_ mostly stays in the background, with it being faint to hear. The rare times you hear it, it feels spooky and offsetting. Layer 3: _Contemplation_ is a weird ominous noise that plays all the time other tracks aren’t playing. _False Memory Syndrome_ totally feels like a complete mood shift, with it just sounding unholy. _Deleted Scenes Forgotten Dreams Part 3_ feels hellish, with yelling out from the endless, hopeless void. _Mournful Cameraderie_ makes a return in drone form, with the melody being more clear in the last instance of this layer. Layer 4: _Isolated Lights_ makes a soft, crashing sound, kind of like the ones we’ll hear in Layer 5. _Things That Are Beautiful And Transient_ sounds more ambient and dark, unlike its blissful state in Stage 1. _A New Kind Of Gal_ is a long, soft piano mostly heard at 12:45. _Suppose Nobody Cared_ brings us back to G1L5 with its high static noise. Overall, this layer is more ambient with a mix of echoing sounds and pianos. Layer 5: At 14:24, we start off with a low orchestral instrument which sounds very grim, followed by a crash. This repeats, constantly building up to something unpleasant happening, until 15:26 happens. The true sirens will build up, up until 15:39 happens. This part could be said more, other than a terrifying *hell.* This layer eventually ends with crashes and then closes off. Layer 6: A storming sea of bliss, as all piano medleys flow so well and act as a calmer for the _Hell Sirens_ we have just heard. Reminds me of G1 Layer 4, but just the piano. *_(I didn’t get a whole day to finish this :[ )_*
Great question! Because of the way that FMS sounds in its clear parts, we can tell that it has stage 3 type scrambling applied over the actual scrambling, so Kirby/The Caretaker did make an alternate version of FMS.
not really. It’s called a stage 3 alt since it has stage 3 type scrambling, which means it could have been meant for stage 3 potentially. but as you may know it wasn’t.
I love the guide format, but I wish the samples shown on-screen would show the name of the original song that was sampled, and not just the track from previous Caretaker works. I think that would make it a lot easier to try to piece together what Kirby's intentions were regarding song choice.
@@LogeTheSpecimen no, it'll be in the same format as the rest of post awareness, as it has heavy scrambling, multiple layers, and different inputs with different speeds n such
Explaining Stage 4 in only track? H1 is perfect track for it, and I feel like this one is the best from Stage 4. H1L1, maybe not everyone's favorite but i love the structure. 3 scrambled same tracks becoming almost like a complete mess but at the same time, not too much. 8/10 H1L2 is maybe one of those rare instances where Post Awareness tracks get a little bit calm at least. No speed change but only pitchmapping and compressing is only added to sound that distorted. I enjoy H1L2 10/10. H1L3 is where that unfamiliar may sound and feel familiar kicks in. False Memory Syndrome's meaning is behind that. The layer itself is a nice mix of an aggressive chopped up bits, and i was kind of horrified by it. 9/10 H1L4 is my favorite layer of H1. The structure of this track is simple. The first glimpse of vegetative state. And i find it extremely disturbing and somewhat horrifying, especially with Isolated Lights static noises. 10/10 for me! H1L5 overshadows H1 so much. People seem to only care about it. But still, i am not gonna lie, that one was so eerie and disturbing, with that string melody turned into horn and siren like ambience. 8\10 H1L6 is the aftermath of H1L5 (PTSD or sundowning). Stressful and horrifying moments like that led us to much more blissful one to say at least. The reverb and the crackles makes this layer somewhat relaxing to listen to. 9/10. I am still tryna get used to this layer stuff, because people are using Layer instead of Section now. I am not gonna complain about the layer images being small or like that. The thing is, the info here will be the most accurate. There will always not be any perfect sample guide. Thank you, FortuneEight for your work. Really hyped for the future works!

Are you going to do I1? Personally you don't have to since it's the same sample for about 20 minutes.
i will in fact do i1
@@FortuneEight__ OK cool
@@FortuneEight__so it will be in the same format as the lucidity stages?
@@LogeTheSpecimen no, it'll be in the same format as the rest of post awareness, as it has heavy scrambling, multiple layers, and different inputs with different speeds n such
@@memetech makes sense.
I haven’t checked in on this community much, why do we call them layers now?
Some people thought sections were too confusing so just opted for simple layers instead, using numbers.
It's a bit simpler I think, but the thing is about it that there's no subsections anymore. I've gotten used to Layers though so yeah
@@that1toad64Same here. Layers are just a simple way of using "sections", basically. Sections are a little complicated
Btw when you do the updated guides, could you give a marker for hell sirens?
Nevermind didn’t realise it started at layer 5 lmao (I’m new to guides lol)

Damn this is cool.
How did you know all that?
this is so good!
thank you!
When False Memory Syndrome appears why does it say "Stage 3 Alternative Version"?
thats outdated it was found to not be a stage 3 version, instead using the normal one
@@FortuneEight__ But what did it mean?
@@bluemushroom6925 it meant that it used a stage 3 scrambled version of false memory syndrome (think of F4 or F7)

Nice
Explaining Stage 4 in only track? H1 is perfect track for it, and I feel like this one is the best from Stage 4.
H1L1, maybe not everyone's favorite but i love the structure. 3 scrambled same tracks becoming almost like a complete mess but at the same time, not too much. 8/10
H1L2 is maybe one of those rare instances where Post Awareness tracks get a little bit calm at least.
H1L4 is my favorite layer of H1.
H1L6 is the aftermath of H1L5 (PTSD or sundowning).
I’m pretty sure layers and sections are synonymous in the post-awareness tracks, but I could be wrong.
L4 is almost never talked about ,I’ve became desensitized to hell sirens…but L4? This is incredibly nightmare fuel to this day
Hey I'm new to this whole thing, what does it mean when there are "-6S" or "-10S" next to the names of the samples?
Slowed by -6 semitones or -10 semitones
@@FortuneEight__ thanks mate
@@FortuneEight__ also do you know when temporary bliss state sample guide is going to be released?
@@FortuneEight__wait how do you slow something down by semitones? I’m fl studio it’s only pitch. Please correct me if I’m being stupid lol.
@@RIMZARE I don't think even F8 knows that lol. He's skipping I1 for now as he's doing an actually detailed guide which will be difficult. J1 is in the works right now, with submissions being held for K1 to P1.
As for your other question try using Audacity for Semitones
What is pitchmapping?
Basically its a plugin from Zynaptiq (idk if i spelled that right) that changes the notes of a song to other notes. (Heavily oversimplified but yeah.)
hey what is this?
This is a sample guide for the song H1 Post Awareness Confusions made by The Caretaker.
