    P2 (take 5) has typical “metal” sound, similar to triggered kick from sound modules. Bright “click” and full bottom, but not too exagerated. It would be nice for speed twin pedal parts.

    2, then 6 and 7, then 4. But on current headphones, and it's best to hear it in the mix. T.bone is surprisingly good.

    The Think the T.bone is quite impressive, especially for the price.

    I believe #5 AKG P2 will give a really useful sound if cut like 5 dB somewhere around lower mid frequencies. The Beta 91 has been my favorite although it's a one trick pony.

    Good video, the AKG D112 is the best (in my opinion), but the little t-bone is really good (but less precise).

      Listened a few time. It's just sounding okay I guess. But the sound lacks of richness. The moment you pass the whole drum into a bus compressor, this thing will definitely show his price.
      And I don't even want to consider, which rapist they gave the task to assemble that thing or in which concentration camp it was made. The story behind the making of this thing must be DARK.

    1 B 2 A- 3 C 4 B+ 5 B 6 A- 7 C given this not-great drum setup and where you put it. You should pull the foam out of the T bone and give it fair gain it might sound pretty close to the Beta. The Beyer was new to me. The P2 is better for bass cab.

  • @carlosllopis9392

    The firs is the best. The kick need hi frecuencies to define the sound on the mix and the first mic have the perfect balance for the mix. Only in this case..in other circunstance you need to proove. Sorry for my english

      If the venue has big boomy speakers, the Beta 91 sounds GREAT! That short quick sound is for the good drummers :D

    • @staffansail2457
      @staffansail2457 4 года назад +1

      The Beta 91A obviously has more attack as it's placed inside the kick drum and picking up more frequencies from the beater.

    6)beyer dynamic tg d70d sound nice! the t.bone are not also good than the akg d112 (i have it)! But i prefeer the 91a + 52a in COMBO, sound's better if you use duo combo of them! For me the best kick are the AKG D12VR and the Audix D6 :)

  • @FilipeMoreiraOficial

    This comparison is honestly not viable. Bad mic positioning doesn't allow you to hear the differences. You are over saturating the microphones.

    • @rhysmoreby1605
      @rhysmoreby1605 2 года назад

      Yeah, the D112 right on the port is maddening. It’s literally designed to be placed inside the shell and sounds awful in any position outside of it.

      Plus: miking in that position is like putting the capsule inside a wind vortex.

    4 has a good punch and width, but this video is more about bad microphone placement in a kickport.. D300 sounds dead.

  • @CaryGlennDavis

    Well first and most importantly you're distorting all the microphones because you have it placed right at the opening with that kick-port which is making a wind tunnel. You're pumping that air blast right into the capsule. NOT good. That type of kick-port is not made for a mike right in front of it. It is a live acoustic enhancer. You need to either place the mic inside or farther away from the hole.

    • @Pyranoja
      @Pyranoja  6 лет назад

      Cary Davis when we things the same sound, its not distortion but resonant head which is released.
