Surely I'm not the only one that spotted the second spring troll ending at 27:30? Ryu loves to flex at the end of levels, this totally would have gotten him most times!
I can’t believe I still don’t own a Nintendo, and I’ve been watching Mario Maker videos for 4 years, I have so many level designs in my head lol, I’m gonna end up forgetting them
I own a switch but still never bought mario maker. I prefer watching ryu play it than actually playing it myself. I can't think of any other game I do that with.
Surely for #100 you try finally beat that 53 record! Even if it’s just on an alt so you don’t have to worry about not starting new runs for streams etc
That doesn't seem like much of a challenge for a player of his caliber now a days. The 53 was done with skips and you currently have a bunch of people with thousands of clears on skip runs, streamers more regularly going for 1k and all that. Ryu can shatter that 53 easily if he does a skip run. Too bad nintendo never added that no-skip differentiation in keeping records. I think Aurateur still holds the no skip record with something like low or mid 40's. Skill aside, it just turns into what kinds of levels you get on the run. We see it every week, 1 bad troll level or a couple extra hard kaizos and the run is done, basically anything that requires trial and error.
@@Oakshield2 it requires you to be smart about the lives you have. You want to beat levels that you can increase lives in. You have to ensure that the levels you play won't take more than 3 lives otherwise it's a loss in comparison to what you had. It also depends on a player's skills. Yes he's pretty skilled but other people could be better or worse than he is which also impacts the playthrough. Also if you're playing a level and lose 4 lives but you have the chance of winning 3 lives at the end, you have to decide if you think you can win the level and have only a loss of 1 life from your total, or decide to skip and have the total 4 lives lost. There's a lot to keep in mind for it and it's harder to find a bunch of winnable levels in the higher difficulty tier levels. I can see easy or normal being do-able for some people but it would require skills (skills that I know I definitely don't have) to apply all of that so that you continue to gain lives and completed level streak

I personally would like the series to continue, seeing I enjoy it greatly. But the most important thing is that you yourself enjoy doing it. If you do not enjoy it, there is no reason to continue it. I am certain that whatever you decide to possibly replace this series with, will be equally entertaining.
You should line it up so that both the smm and smm2 endless super expert reach episode 100 at the same time, then do a special episode 100 for both where you do something with both games in the same episode
For ep 100 can you simply do multiple runs but not as a livestream. Just a wholesome video because at the end of the day we just want your content RYU 😁
That first level is called "Mario finally bought a high rise apartment complex".... Mansion means apartment complex in Japanese for whatever reason. I guess Hotel Mario is cannon now!
and also, please do not end the series; your videos have helped us all and helped me through quite a lot of hard and amazing times. Losing my dog to cancer, having to leave school, many hospital visits and injuries, tons of major post surgery recovery (relaxing to your videos), the birth of my nephews, and tons of other things.

Don't retire Ryu. You are by far the best Mario maker player, and I mean it not only because of your amazing skills with the game but the entertainment value is quality. By ep 100 you should do a long episode or a special stream
My girlfriend and I have made "you're a liar and a thief" a Thing and had no idea where it was from, and I can now happily say one of our in-jokes is a Ryukahr bit. VERY glad this is where it's from.
I say definitely don't retire this series! I think it would be fun to add more challenges and varieties to it though. Maybe add in like only three lived to a level, pacifist runs, no coin runs, etc. A lot of fun variety I think you can add more into the series!
personal opinion: do only 100 life challenge in mm1 as regular video, and use endless mm2 only with special rules (skip only japanese level etc) or just do good singular level for mm2. would be nice do some good mm2 super world with life rules (like, start with 30 life, and if you reach 0, game over. or world checkpoints, like restart 1-1 if you lose all lifes in 1-3, or restart on 2-1 if you lose on 2-4, like nintendo should did that from the beginning)

To all the people asking Ryu to not end the series: Although I do agree that Ryu has brought a TON of joy into peoples lives through this series, we can’t expect it to go on forever. I'd love to see you continue with SMM2, but I think it'd be good if the Endless videos had some kind of concrete goal. The 100-man mode has a story arc, since you can win or lose. Maybe standardizing what a SMM2 run is would help create a story in this videos. Like saying "we get big for peach after ten levels" or something. It's too bad the game doesn't have an end screen- but it'd be easy enough to add a victory screen on your green screen.
There’s no need to retire- I think a huge anniversary special would be great for the 100th. Like a mash up of different challenges and maybe a longer video than usual (50 minutes maybe?) enjoying the content!

You play the top 10 hardest/easiest levels currently listed. 4. something entirely different.

In episode 50 of your Mario Maker 1 challenge you invented the endless mode. For episode 100 just invent the next mode that Nintendo will put in MM3. Thanks.

gotta say, ryu earned that death. there were obviously 1ups behind that key door, and the next stage looked beatable as well, but he preferred to skip it so he could die on some jank kaizo shit.
Episode 101 should be the start to a new version of Endless where it's going to be truly endless. You have to play to keep the endless streak going for as long as you can. Lots of skips, tactical gameplay etc.
After 100 runs or to celebrate the 100th run, you should make it that, if you make it past X amount of levels with Y amount of Lives, you should try to turn the run into a push for 53+ clears! :P (turn into "skip" runs). That way you're having fun and making the run even More legendary because it started off as a no skip!!
Oh and if you were to take my idea (for free) you could also play my level to thank me :) WTS-T8G-BVF (you could make an episode out of it! Maybe.. :D)
I definitely wouldn't retire the series at #100, but I'd love to see some differing content too. Maybe continue the series but with a longer time between each episode so you can do things we haven't seen on the channel before, such as more ROM hacks (one of my personal favourites to see here), or even other modes in SMM2, like trying to get a really high score on Expert Endless
Hey ryu, "triggered" isn't a word meaning upset or angry or annoyed. It's a word that's used when talking about PTSD and trauma. A trigger is something that makes you relive your trauma, being triggered isn't being midly upset by a video game, it's seeing something that literally makes you relive your trauma, can give you panic attacks and other bad stuff. You could use upset, angry, enraged etc instead! All of those means exactly what you wanted to say without misusing a therapy term.
Looks like there was a second troll at the end, if you tried to cut back to get the 1-up after the spring pushed the muncher to the left, a second spring falls to push the muncher back to the right.
An endless no skip expert series maybe fun for a bit. See if you can make it to 1000. Pressure gets intense sometimes when a really tough level pops up (or troll). I still like super expert though as well.
Keep endless for sure RYU! I have been watching from day one and enjoying it so much along the ride along with many more fans of yours i'm sure. It would kinda be disappointing to see it be retired.

In honor of number 100, you can go back to 'no skip' super expert. If a run ends short, you can throw in some uncleared levels.

For the 100th episode, you should run Endless until you beat 100 levels. Not in one run, but as many as it takes to beat 100 levels.
