It is a very difficult thing to go through and it involves a lot of guilt. You are very correct that care givers need a good support group that understands what the caregiver is going through. I have a caregiver support group and they have helped me with respit care, training and other resources. I was able take advantage of some respit relief and took a trip with my daughters while someone else took care of my loved one, though I still felt guilty about taking that time for myself it was really helpful in the long run. Guilt is a really big part of care giver burn out. I have gotten a lot better with handling the guilt and excepting that I can’t do everything but I’m still a work in progress and I have to remember that as well. Caregivers are human, Not superhuman, I have to keep reminding my self of that😊❤️

I couldn't agree more, you need a safety net, know one, be young, old, male or female can go on forever. Sometime you will crack no matter how much you try, or how much you love that person.
