- (TEST RE-UPLOAD) More Dark souls Yay! (HELP ME) - Dark souls 1 has many well designed areas(Visually) and The Duke's archives is my 2nd favorite! Seath the Scaleless and Crystal Caves Suck tho... Taurus & Iron golem bosses remain my favorites... Sen's Fortress is still #1 best area as-well! Anyways this area was sick! loved the view over Anor Londo! (I'm a sucker for clouds and skies!) I was worried because I didn't realize this area was controversial! This was the only area I was looking forward to! And I'm glad it somewhat delivered... I was happy to see my snake brethren make a return just like CURSED!..... Oh.... why.....?WHY DOES THE BOSS MAKE YOU CURSED!? It's literally just there to be frustrating! It reflects the Crystal area quite well, Unnecessary busy work to pad out player time... Well, at-least it's all behind us... At the end I kinda go on a tangent similar to last video (more of continuation). Remember the time when I say "You played the worst case scenario and was even worst than you think" when you get cursed in blighttown and go up to cure the curse? Well, it's time to explain why was even worst than you can guess.
It's pretty simple. You see the Clams after Seath arena? Sure yes. Well, that enemy drops Purging Stones pretty easily. (so you don't need to spend souls to buy it, but that's another point).
The point is those Clams are also on the area at bottom of the Hollow Tree that it's pretty close , and even there are a closest bonefire to farm. So you can figure it out how that escenario was even worts than you remember. Imagine not doing all the backtrack to firelink shrine... it's like a bad joke.
Cheers and keep going. I'm not to much in the coments but still enjoying the series a lot. The extra personal thoughts that you put on the last videos are interesting.
I actually always wondered what you meant by that, good to know now! And during my blight town playthrough I actually got so angry that I just searched up wtf a curse was and how to deal with it, I eventually found a wiki/reddit page with an old convo of another player who also got in the same situation as me... And well... Most of the replies from the comments were just

WHICH I COULDN'T DO because of this cursed series, the WORST part was that I already knew about the skip entrance (I found it in ep2 with the taurus demon) So I literally suffered on purpose to "get the full and proper experience" NEVER AGAIN! (That was probably my least favorite gaming experience of all time) 🤬
I agree with you, the 2nd half of the game feels way too easy and also left me unfulfilled, the dlc on the other hand is feels way better and the bosses and the areas feel like the 1st half, painful, but the good kind. The only fulfilling boss in the 2nd of the base game is Gwyn (as long as you dont parry) he’s comparable to the dlc bosses and finishing the game with this boss was great
Yeah, the development of the last parts of the game were very rushed, especially with the bed of chaos. I thought the archives were okay, I liked new londo, I thought lost Isalith was underwhelming and capped with a bad boss, and tomb of the giants was absolute ass. You can definitely feel how rushed some of these areas were, but there is still fun to be found in some of the late game locations, and especially in the DLC.
I enjoyed the video.
But I think you were too dramatic about the invisible floor area. the final stretch is just a straight line, and you can tell where is walkable by the falling particles.
I think I was harsh on this section because at this point I was tired of the forced gimmicks and was really disappointed to see that they Doubled-down on them, I was also genuinely annoyed to see the game I loved so much in the beginning fall so hard at the end, Souring the entire experience!
Just a couple things:
1. The latter half of the game was rushed to hell, which is why it seems so broken and lazy
2. Do NOT lock on. Locking on is busted in ds1 and locks you to rolling only from side to side or forward and back. When not locked on, you can roll in any direction
you cannot be serious. do not listen to this guy telling you not to lock on... what?

@@lumethecrow no it's not I've been playing it for years, you need to learn when to lock on and when not to, not completely ignore locking on
