    Nice truck to have....we have a 95' Ford lighting at the shop🔥owner just has it sitting there....only needs a transmission🙄

      I would love a first gen Lightning too though. They're super cool. Kind of insane how much they cost anymore. Call up A1 for that trans when the time is right. Would be badass.

      @@605BOLT bad ass 4sure👍funny thing is that I had a 93' chevy 454 in the shop today...I made a quick video of it....those two trucks were rivals back then😏

      For sure. Those old 454 trucks are cool too. I like the graphics on the tailgate.

    I'm having one hell of a time with a 03 f-150 H.D. truck! Idles & slow drives ok, but when you start crowding it and push hard on the accelerator, it stumbles and surges badly, like it's starving for fuel. Easing back off the pedal is the only way it seems to straighten out! Tested fuel psi at tank and rail. Cleaned/tested EGR valve and all vac solenoids, hoses,connectors.
    New coils, injectors, spark plugs, etc.

      Do you have a wideband oxygen sensor? If so, that would be a helpful troubleshooting tool. Basically, if it has fuel and no spark, the wideband will read rich. If the truck has spark but no fuel, it will read lean. This could help you identify the problem. Also, is the truck tuned? Can you datalog? If so, a datalog can tell you a lot about what is going on with an engine.

    I’m hoping you can answer this questions for me . I noticed my pump not working and I ordered another one to change it but now when I try and bypass the sensors to manually make the pump turn on , it doesn’t turn on . So what I’m really wondering is if the 02 Harley have any other sensor that could maybe cause it from the pump not turning on . Thanks in advance. Great videos .

    • @605BOLT

      I don't know what sensors you would be bypassing. If you are bypassing the relay as I do in this video, something else is going on. A failed pump could cause a fuse to blow. I would check to see that the fuse is not blown first. Then ensure you have 12V at one of the spades of the relay. Then, I would verify that you have voltage at the connector of the pump. Once you verify all that, you will have a better idea where to start looking. I'm here to help if you get in a bind. Feel free to post back.🍻

    Great info, thank man. Definitely going to check my intercooler pump.

      For sure. Do check. Some definite ponies left on the table if it craps out. Also better for your engine to not be having to deal with that inferno of hot air. Lots of supercharger related lightning videos coming up here shortly. 👍

    Hey men you think that would be a problem for the truck to struggle to not pass 45 and kinda shakes a bit ?

    • @605BOLT
      @605BOLT  7 месяцев назад +1

      Doubtful. I would be looking to see whether it has solid fuel pressure or an ignition issue. Intercooler pump could be the primary fault though where it failed and caused the engine to burn up the plugs and now you have a nasty misfire. Hard to say exactly but an intercooler pump on its own wouldn't keep a truck from going 45 or make it shake.

    Hey i ended up noticing I had engine coolant pooled up in the valley of my engine on my lightning , and was wondering if you know what causes that to leak in there ,we took everything off already sc and intake etc, and gaskets were good , no ripped hoses , so now we think it’s the metal pipe that runs in the valley that connects to the water pump but we see no holes or breaks in that , but we’re thinking that pipe has o rings that might have went bad and caused the leak but not entirely sure , if u can help , thanks

    • @605BOLT
      @605BOLT  4 года назад

      There is a metal hose that connects into the back of the water pump. It runs through the valley for the engine. There is a little o ring that seals it against the back of the water pump basically (actually a section of the engine block). Might be leaking there. 🤷‍♂️

    So what kind of fluid goes in that reservoir? Is it antifreeze?

    • @605BOLT
      @605BOLT  Год назад +1

      If you live in the south where it doesn't freeze I would use just water. I live up north so I used to run antifreeze mixed with coolant. Now I have an ice box so I run water and ice all summer and switch to coolant just for the winter.

    Hello, I have a question anyone knows where is the temp sensor located in a Ford lightning 2002

    • @605BOLT
      @605BOLT  3 года назад

      What type of temp sensor? For the coolant? Or for the intake air temps?

    How do you drain that inter cooler reservoir your working on?

    • @605BOLT
      @605BOLT  Год назад +1

      To drain the factory one, you can just undo the lower line to the intercooler. I don't recall the factory setup having any type of drain.

      @@thelastslime3007 that wouldn't be a problem. They put gold coolant in aluminum cylinder heads all the time. I have green in mine but whatever will work.
