I have a 1988 D100LE Ramcharger (2wd) and you're doing ventilation wrong. Open the door windows all the way and open the roof vent all the way. Reach down to the drivers' side kick panel and slide the vent toward the driver's door, this flows air from the cowl into the driver's crotch. You also turn the vent fan on, but you might have to clamp the heater core lines if your shutoff valve doesn't actuate. Your vent windows at full open deprive the rear seat of airflow, somewhere around halfway is a compromise between front/rear airflow but makes the most noise. Trying to pipe fresh air in through the roof restricts the through-ventilation that is quite well designed into the truck, that roof is a vent to exhaust the passenger cabin. Cool that y'all took one on the power tour. Maybe I'll put mine back on the road and take a trip like that someday!

Great video. I currently have a 92 Ramcharger and have had others in the past. As far as your fuel injection comment, no one should correct you for calling it fuel injection as that's what it is. However it's not tuned port injection, it's throttle body injection. Tuned port injection uses an injector per cylinder spraying into the intake runner. They are both "fuel injection" .It looks like a great truck and I hope you enjoy it.
I had the linkage end break off from the dried plastic cup thing on my ‘86 d 150, I greased the heck out of it put the arms back on and was able to get a e-ring clip to snap on, still works 5 months later 😎

I know about the rust belt. I'm here in NJ. It's important to keep a coat of wax on the vehicles and the underside clean of snow and salt. I install a rust preventer paint to the underside of cars. No rust issues for me. 😮

I'd run your fake ac thru a cooler filled with ice by piping in the hose in to the cooler thru the ice & then shorter hoses coming out so your not just pushing hot air at outside temps

I have a 79 w/360 magnum/NV4500/Dana300 with 4.56s/35s in part time axles from a 83. Edelbrock 650 off road carb, mild Hughes cam and Tri-Y headers. About to put a new American Autowire harness in it. It’s a great road trip truck, used to drive San Diego to Moab every year in it. We were going to do Pour Tour in my 72 340/4spd Duster, drive to Memphis from Greenville and do the whole thing.

Early throttle body injection or tbi as the ram charger is like the early 94 Chevy extended cab short bed onyx gloss black with quicksilver center stripe running down the sides and the tailgate Z71 with a 0.40 350 tbi can be very finicky in symptoms and therefore difficult to diagnose what is exactly wrong with them....been there done that but in design they are a simplistic type of fuel injected carburetor basically.... I had the same fuel issues with the early 94 Chevy extended cab short bed Z71 truck i had before my dodge ram...
Lol, darn I live like 30 minutes from five flags speedway. Would have gone just to chat with you guys about the Ramcharger. But you can buy the entire A/C system on Rock auto less the electronics. Just make sure your clutch wiring works, and probably an afternoon or two you’ll have cold AC. HMU if you have any questions.
I was lucky to acquire a truck with very little modifications and lower mileage working ac that did work well until the stupid ground squirrel chewed up the ac compressor clutch wiring connector pigtail right off the truck and the number 7 injector harness connector pigtail so I pretty much have to tear the intake manifold down to get to the harness to fix it and that kinda sucks when it was a vehicle the wiring was not all hacked up but it will look like it lol, truck has the premium factory installed 6 speakers and tweeters amplifier filters sound system and i installed a stereo just like it came out with from the factory a premium infinity by chrysler am fm cd player cassette tape player stereo and it works but the factory speakers yeah they suck.. the previous owners had changed the front doors and put the wrong doors from a lower level trim truck on and spraybombed them flat black but hey the factory clear coat is baked and peeling off so the truck looks like crap anyway, when I got it it had one front door speaker working and the dual electronics xm250mp3 cd player in the truck but I would rather have the factory headunit anyway.
Also funny story, I drove my Ramcharger to Pensacola beach last summer to see the blue angles with no tints or AC yet, then hit the traffic gridlock. Dear god, I can’t believe they didn’t make back windows that open, like driving a greenhouse. There is a removable side window mod floating around on the internet somewhere if you guys are interested too.
I considered these TBI/ throttle body injection. Used to be able to get rebuild kit at Parts Plus from BWD. Broken When Delivered. I found Ramcarger Central to be a very informative site.

It’s an Edelbrock air cleaner & valve cover beauty kit, I believe! It came on the car when we got it!
