    As a Brewers fan, my favorite thing was listening to Euck during rain delays. He's hilarious and the laughs just keep coming. When it's time to call the game, he does a fantastic job. The Milwaukee fans have been truly blessed having him call our games. I wish he could go on forever!

    The Baseball Hall of Fame is not JUST about performance on the field ALL the time. Its what you mean and bring to the game. And FEW broadcasters can be included in that, or Spokesmen of the game. Like a Vin Scully, or Harry Carey, or Bob Uecker....(who actually did play in the MLB) are members of the HOF for a reason that is beyond playing or not influence on the game. NO ONE is ever going to compare the great Pete Rose who should be in, considering 50% of 80's players were doing Coke and got in or the 90's PED players....to frickin BOB UECKER in terms of ability or stats!! Its not like Bob Uecker is next to Jonny Bench, or Gary Carter, or Ivan Rodriguez in the HOF in terms of lifetime achievements while playing...

      HAHAHA Vin Scully? the Ferrari? Flip it around! Vin Skully DIDN'T EVEN PLAY PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL!!! he was a radio head, and not as funny or witty or have even an ounce of the talent overall of BOB UECKER! You my good man are a Joke. (oh and btw Uecker was also a professional actor to boot)

    The HOF was supposed to be about play on play on the field, to put a less than marginal player, turned broadcaster on the same footing as
    Young, Cobb, Johnson, Ruth, Mathewson, Hornsby, Alexander etc, is
    a joke!.......Sports writers, broadcasters etc, have a place, but not anywhere near the same level as top players. And their introduction shouldn't be at the same level....While at it, i'll also say that probably
    60-70 pct of members don't belong on the same level as the top tier.

    • @JeffGeers-kz9lj
      @JeffGeers-kz9lj 2 года назад

      You are just wrong. Pete Rose is quite possibly one of the top 10 players in history of the game. given his stats as a player and as a manager. Yet....why is he not in? cause he got railroaded with gambling... in a time also where half the players were doing coke off the dugout bench. So if the HOF is going to let the likes of MANY of those players in and yet at the same time look at the class and prestige of being a member...then Rose should be in. As should any true ambassador
      of the game....and Bob Uecker was just that and still is.

    • @researcher3981
      @researcher3981 2 года назад

      What a joke! Pete Rose (ba) .3029=#178 AT
      (sa) .4093=#997 All Time (obp) .3751=#229
      (ops) 118= #518 All Time...Although he would have been a great man to have on any roster; TOP 10 NOT EVEN CLOSE.
      TOP 20 , nor the top 30, top 40 or top 50!
      Don't let the hits fool you. It was all the at bats that gave him that; If Cobb had 14053
      ab's he would have had 5,138 hits, Hornsby 5,038, Joe Jackson 4,999, and a dozen or more others who would have more hits. Then we add all the other power hitters who didn't have as many hits, but were part of the 517 hitters with a higher ops. If we use the standard roster 11-12 pitchers and 13-14 hitters...taking all the best by positions; Rose wouldn't make any of the top 5 teams

  • @Rayburn58

    This is a joke, bob uecker in the HOF. When the likes of Gil Hodges, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Orel Hershiser are snubbed. John Smoltz first ballot HOF, yet never during his career could he stand in the shoes of the Hershiser from 1984-1989. Even after his arm trouble he was at least as good or better then smoltz. craig biggio HOF on 2nd year of eligibility. At no point in his career could he stand in the shoes of Gil Hodges, or Don Mattingly from 1984-89, or Dale Murphy from 1980-1987 a 2 time MVP. HOF is a sham and a joke if smoltz, uecker, biggio in HOF and Hodges, Hershiser, Mattingly, and Murphy are not.
