Chinese Grammar Lesson-- 了 le. I Promise It's Actually Easy!

This is very interesting. In Thai language we have something similar to 了:
1. จัง, Jang (了 as a set structure)
2. ละ, La (了 change of status)
3. แล้ว, Liao (了 as completed action)
Maybe 4. and 5. also exist in Thai language too, but I need some more time to comprehend them.
It's good that you weren't always at a desk. It's good to see you saying a word, eg smells, really helps to remember?

Miss Lin - I believe there is a mistake with 我下班了? You wrote it as 我下了班.
對 有可能 it’s possible. My head sometimes get dizzy with all the editing 😊thank you for letting me know.
Actually it’s not a mistake to say 下了班. You add 了after verb since we consider 下班 is a verb.However you can also use 下 as a verb therefore 下了班 is correct too! For example: 下車了 and 下了車. Strictly speaking 下is the verb. Ms.Lin does a great job here! BTW, am a former Mandarin teacher living in US.林老師，妳很棒！
how about the particle 過
So with the double 了 , that sentence means I already had 2 cups or 3 cups of bubble milk ..... because you
Explained 2 cups but you wrote 3 cups....a bit confusing
1. 我已經喝了兩杯珍珠奶茶了
2. 下雨了
3. 吵死了
第一個：我已經喝了兩杯珍珠奶茶了！
第二個：下雨了！
第三個：吵死了！
這個影片真的很有幫助！我覺得“了”的核心形象就是“狀態的改變”，對不對？

Chris Mills Hi Chris, I understand it can be frustrating if you’ve just started The “set structure” is the part beginners can pick up and just memorize it. Then once you learn more and get confused with all the 了 function you can always come back 😊
