- Today I'm reviewing the new slasher film directed by Eli Roth, from a screenplay written by Jeff Rendell and a story by Roth and Rendell. It is the third feature length film to be adapted from one of the mock trailers in Grindhouse. The film stars Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon.

Synopsis:

Best line I only caught on 2nd viewing " I think you'll make an excellent dinner Kathleen" 😂😂
I really enjoyed it for how does the slasher genre justice. My favorite kill was at the diner, and I also appreciated how the ending was highly unexpected.

Just back from the this. Really enjoyed it. Reminds me of the original Scream with My Bloody valentine and a few other nods to horror classics thrown in.
As close to a classic 80's slasher as you can get.

Hard agree!!! Had a feeling it would be fun, but this surpassed my expectations. Favorite kill was table saw. Just so brutal!!

Great to hear you liked it! Wasn't so sure cuz I loved the style of the original Grindhouse trailer and this is obviously more contemporary now but I'm definitely willing to give it a go 🍿👍🏼

The opening is good. I've been in wild crowds fighting for toys. I really liked this movie, but it was almost too gory at the end for my taste, but I would see it again.
Saw this in theaters. Met my expectations and then some. I saw the Thanksgiving fake trailer at TOO young of a age 😂but I’m glad this finally got made. Now Edgar Wright just gotta make “Don’t.”

The fake trailer for this was my favorite part of Grindhouse!! I had high expectations for this as i thought that trailer was Eli Roth's best work.

I love this film and think that it is one of the best modern slasher films. I’m a hardcore horror fan and in my opinion Eli’s films are underrated.

I love it
I’m not a big Eli Roth fan either, so I’m not in a rush to see this. His movies are always so triggering!
Definitely better than most of his film especially the more recent ones
I enjoyed this movie a lot once I figured out the tone it was going to be. As soon as it went with the comedy element right away I knew it was going to be a bit quirky. The first kill John Carver did the CGI was a bit weak but immediately after that the kills got better and better so all in all I expect a sequel sooner than later fingers crossed 🤞😎 I truly appreciate the film and I am thankful for John Carver let’s all welcome this character to the slasher genre… 🔪 🎩

I was disappointed. Acting was bad, most of the kills were ehh, you could figure out the killer a mile away. I think Hostel was Eli's best film.

This movie was ok for me, 4/10. It made zero sense as to why their wasn’t 2 killers, is the sheriff able to teleport or something? He went to the location that they were tricked into going and then the next thing you know the killer is in a whole different location, what? Also the thing about bobbi coming back into town was stupid to me and cheesy, it lead to nothing. And the ending was strange to me, she had a bad dream about the killer… so that means he might still be alive I guess? Some kills were garbage and some were good. I left the theater unpleased lol. IMO
I'm gonna get hate but whatever. This movie was stupid. I walked out of it. Didn't care about the characters and the gore and effects looked so fake I couldn't buy it. Disappointed.
