The Chinese and Malays in Singapore are not attacking Indian policy, I am Chinese Singaporean and I support India being powerful country despite India being anti China. Why is this Indian guy Bilahari coming out to attack China? The Chinese Singaporeans are not anti China. They are mostly pro or neutral towards China. Like the Indians in Singapore are mostly pro or neutral towards India. Malays are mostly pro or neutral towards Malaysia and Indonesia. There is something seriously wrong with this guy and his hardcore anti China views.

Firstly I think calling the current situation between the US and China (+Russia) as great power competition is a gross mis-characterisation. To me it looks more like US hagemony with colonisation intent. Secondly, claims there exists non-binary and multipolarity choices are, in my view, incorrect. Let's face it: choice between two big poles and a handful of other far smaller poles is essentially still bi-polar and binary. It's good that Bilahari reminded everyone that US and China are essentially joined at the hips. That being the case, the current path pursued by the US will lead to the destruction of the co-existing sphere, within which is not just the US and China but the rest of the world as well. That's why all of us are feeling it. Americans have a cowboy mentality: if you do not agree with me or do what I tell you, lets draw, the fastest gun wins. To the US, for every winner there must be a loser, win-win somehow does not feature in their vocabulary. But the fact remains that it's not a zero-sum gain. If China, Russia and the rest of world prosper, America will benefit too. The key for the US is to find ways for those gains to trickle down to the general population, instead of concentrated at the top. Then America, and the rest of the world, will be far more relax than what we are now. Remember, we live in shared world.

I am a second generation overseas Chinese, but I am first a human being and secondly I am a Chinese descent. Let's not being racial and be peacemakers. Certainly, the west has ravaged the east and colonized them in the past and even now they are colonizing them economically. This does not mean the east is holier than the west. China is a new country. The People Republic of China was birthed on 1st October, 1949. Prior to it, was Republic of China in 1912 (10th October). Before there was no China, it was the Great Qing Empire. In the 15th Century it was the Ming not Chinese. Then in 18th century, it was the Qing. Let's use a general term, the Hans. The Hans was the majority of the population. the Qing was the Manchus that ruled the Hans. In the 15th Century the Hans were trading with many locations (not a country at that time) and the Hans never conquered them is because cannon and gun wasn't invented. The past dynasties do colonized their neighbors. It colonized Taiwan for 212 years, Tibet, Sinkiang, the South autonomous region. This proves that we the Hans are not Holier. We are all guilty. Let's make peace and let righteousness rule.

China has along for the last 50 yrs., never been involved in the internal political affairs of those countries which it has diplomatic & economic ties around our world. On the other hand, the U.S. had been noted to get involved with some countries internal affairs through subtle economic assistance in the beginning of their relationship & followed by military cooperation down the road. These two parts of US relations with developing countries in Asia or Africa, have been a classic case of political interferences.
