  • Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said at the Shangri-La Dialogue on Sunday (Jun 2) that the US and China do not need a third party to help iron out their relationship woes. He also spoke about how China has learnt and adapted to Western-style forums and dialogues where the questioning is more direct.

The beauty & strength of democracy... noisy, confusing sometimes, but everybody can speak & has a voice, even the small or the weak ones! Not like communist government & dictators, they speak loud, they even used words my grandfather never heard of, but when the small & weak people speaks or protest, they get afraid & hostile, then they send their strongest, the biggest, & fully armed security guards to intimidate & arrest the weak ones like in Hongkong & Moscow? What are they afraid of? They act & think superior to none! Or these governments are the weak & fearful to lost their power over their citizens.

Indonesia moving her capital to Borneo poses a security threat to Sarawak and Sabah ??? What is wrong with the Indonesian moving their capital to a less densely populated area ? There is nothing wrong with that move. We welcome it, as a matter of fact. It would be a catalyst for further development of the island and interconnectivity. The west needs to change their mindset. The UN (and U.S.) recognizes Taiwan as a province of China,
So try starting your uninformed uneducated comment by first researching the subject you are commenting on.
It the Uss that wants to turn Taiwan into another of its Asian pacific military colonies (Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Guam, Australia)
I’m sure the U.S. would be up in arms if China was funding and propping up separatist political figures in Puerto Rico and arming it to the hilt with Chi ease military advisers and intel agents, and then sending warships to cruise the waters between Puerto Rico and the U.S.
Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory
Maybe that comparison wi educate you on the situation.
The real issue is the Biden US is attempting to cling to its declining 20th hegemony by starting a proxy world war in thee proxy parts: 1. Ukraine/NATO= Russia. 2. Israel/U.S.= Iran. 3. Taiwan/QUAD/US = China.
Thinking by causing economic and infrastructure destruction it will set back these three rising powers. Allowing the U.S. to profit from arms sales while believing it can recreate the outcome of WW2 where the U.S. made lots of money from the military and remained untouched while Europe Russia Japan China all were destroyed.
Unfortunately back then there were no hypersonic missiles or nukes that could reach the U.S. mainland. Today there is and China has the most of them and a superior satellite technology system with a higher efficiency gps system m. A larger Ai infrastructure, and a newer more modern and advanced navy.
The big loser in this and the end of the U.S. 20th century will be the U.S.
China Russia Iran BRICS will be the winners.
Israel will be reduced to a weak state to its original designated 1947 UN borders. Palestine will be reborn with large investments and developments from China’s BRI, Russia, and a new appreciation of it by all Middle East and Muslim countries.
The U.S. and Europe will be buried in debt/economic crisis and a societal breakdown of crime violence racial immigration issues.
PS better educate yourself on international law and what country (US) has violated more than any other and now are threatening the UN /ICC /ICJ over the U.S. / Eu / Uk / Zionist Israel’s G-side and war crimes

I wish the IISS organizers will take only 1 question at a time. There were good questions during the time of the Defense Minister of China but he wasn’t able to answer most of them. He used his time not to answer other issues.

He only prepared for the question regarding Taiwan and south china sea. Others, he is not prepared. Is his first time at SLD. If he answers poorly there will be backlash.
