I've tried so many pedals. I keep coming back to guitar, chord, amp. If you have the right amp, you don't need dirt pedals. In fact, they are just another source of a headache with faulty connections and added complexity in your rig. A Splawn Quick Rod 50 arrived just yesterday. It has more gain that I could ever want or need. And the clean is nice too. Something like that is all I need. Pedals like this are for amps such as Fenders - the one-trick ponies.
I got mine last Friday, I truly enjoy it. It has a different flavor than all my other Overdrive/Distortion pedals. Charles made another quality product from Silktone. Great Demo Shawn!

It sounds good but has WAY more gain than I would ever need.
It has some great lower gain sounds in it, actually. Most demos just show off the higher gain sounds for some reason.
