Excellent video! I've been collecting vintage lawn and garden tractors for years, saved them from scrap yards and barns. I have a B110 and my uncle had a B10 just like yours. I have a Simplicity 101 Landlord which is basically the same tractor just with a different grill and a different paint job. Great job preserving this old tractor, they really don't make them like this anymore.
Awesome video man! That was a good walk around with good information. I have two Big Tens(65) with the 10 horse. One engine has no compression and the other is good. I also managed to find a snowblower, front blade, mower deck, and tiller. Hopefully with two I can work from, one can get running😄 These little things are just cool as hell.
They really are tanks. Even when they don’t have compression, it’s quite often just a stuck valve from sitting. Good luck getting your machines running and thanks for watching!
you might pull the cylinder head off of the one with no compression, sometimes the exhaust valve get stuck open, or soak the rings with oil for a week or 2
If your going to use a screwdriver to kill it you might want to keep your finger off the metal part...haha Nice video. Yeah those are better for plowing or pulling than mowing but if the engine carb and governor are set right they chug right thru heavy wet grass. More suited to farm mowing not so much residential. Enjoy
My former boss, a farmer, was totally a Allis Chalmers fan. He sure loved his tractor pulling.
