    Hi I have the Epsom 5350 1080p projector. Cost me £ 585. 00 in UK. Not 4k still very happy with it. And use it a lot. Epsom are really good I find. Can't justify changing it. Great picture. Thanks for the video.

    The reason I like LCD projectors is because I don't like TVs : the picture from the projector looks like nothing special, it is just true to the film of video you watch. Text reading is much more confortable than on any other screen, the eye is tired to look close, but the wall is far enough. The only drawback for me is power used. I will never let go of my projector, it is as important as my wife. lol also a dedicated screen with a rigid frame is much better than a wall. 1080p and 150in are enough for me, the best dark setting sends about 1200 lumens (even if the device is capable of 2600 when used for TV with lights on or wondow open). Lamp reduces in brightness with age. Use only genuine lamps, I had a generic lamp explode on me. Genuine lamps are brighter and shed less heat.

  • @AlexandreLollini

    I started with projectors in 2004 and it was a Sanyo PLV-Z3 in 720p, and it is impossible to delete a video projector from my life since then. The next was Mistubichi HC5000 then Epson EH-TW9200 ans now after 4 lamps it has a pink vertical band, so I think about the next one. Each lamp did 125% of their expected lifetime. It is in use at least 6 hours per day, and even more some weekends. It is my computer screen, my tv and my ps4 display.

    Come on man you can't use a 4k projector without a screen and especially not on a white wall with a lamp next to it.

    Hi, I have a problem with this projector, about two months after purchase, the projector makes a kind of intermittent flash especially in night cinema mode, with any source and device, which it doesn't do with dynamic mode, but it worsens the image, which problem can be? Has this happened to this model th-tw7000 from epson? Thank you

    "Being fairly compact, it can be easily moved from room to room" ??? Is this the same projector I'm looking at? Saw it in the shop and it was an insane looking beast of a projector in comparison to many others out there in this price range?

    I loved the brightness of the Epson. But being that it's only 2k even when pixel shifting I had to select the BenQ as it shifts 4xs the image was noticably crisper. HDR on the BenQ did not at all match that of the Epson though

    • @Vernonchan

      Interesting. Thanks for the feedback. BenQ does pretty good projectors, too

      What are you talking about?
      If it was 2k only, why would it need to eshift? It's a 4k projector just like yours.

    • @hisxbr150
      @hisxbr150 3 года назад +6

      @@chrismitsos6817
      The BenQ is known officially as a 4K UHD projector - that means it is capable of achieving the standard of 4K by putting 8 million pixels on the screen (8 million represents 4K). The BenQ is not native 4K.
      By comparison, the Epson only produces 4 million pixels on the screen, but also works with 4K content. As it turns out, both use chips that are inherently 1920 x1080 resolution - the difference is the pixel shifting. To increase detail, Epson fires each 1080p pixel twice, shifting its position. The BenQ does the same thing, but it hits the screen four times.

    • @chrismitsos6817
      @chrismitsos6817 3 года назад +1

      @@hisxbr150 But I've seen the epson next to a 4k optoma and I don't see a difference. If you say that it's only 4 million pixels I believe you.
      But in the menus it says "4k enhancement". If it doesn't reach 4k why would they call it 4 k ??

    • @hisxbr150
      @hisxbr150 3 года назад +2

      @@chrismitsos6817 cause 4k is a selling point. I've had a Epson 3200 and a BenQ tk800m side by side and trust me the menu on my Xbox alone was 2xs as crisp on the BenQ. Truly, I am a Epson fanboy 100% but facts are facts sadly

      Because it was never filmed in darkness where it would shine a lot more and there was also a lamp right next to it and it was used on an untreated wall (no grey is not enough it needs to be a special paint minumum or a screen).

And if you buy this high level proyectors,i think is because you like a cinema experience with a good audio system like a home cinema or 5.1 sound bar with big subwoofer, and for this reason the companys in this type of proyectors dosnt come with speakers. Aswell, good video edit, good job.

    • @bojned
      @bojned 3 года назад +6

      @@Vernonchan It's not on par in resolution, but it surpasses DLP projectors in image quality. Brightness, contrast, colour accuracy and no rainbow effect that 3LCD tech offers is far beyond any single chip DLP projector. Also, I don't know if any other projector offers both horizontal and vertical lens shift at this price range - such a great feature to have if you have to offset the projector.
      I own Epson EH-TW5650, and that thing is killing any cheaper projector in image quality department. Only real upgrade for me now would be 4K 3LCD or laser projector. I would never go back to DLP.

    An 86” Samsung TV blows this Epson out of the water for clarity and hdr, but the TV is heavy hard to move.
    If clarity doesn’t matter much to you and you need ultra portable large image the Epson might be a good choice.

    • @Vernonchan

      I wouldn't disagree with you on your points. Ultimately, you can't beat a TV for clarity and contrast.

      @@Vernonchan I actually bought and tested the Epson, and while it is OK at night, it isn’t that good in daylight or ambient light, and it heats up the room like a medium space heater.
      The Samsung 86” TV allows me to see all the minute detail the Epson wasn’t able to show. I typically watch no larger than 92” so the 86” TV was better choice for me, and about the same price from Costco, if you factor in a decent projector screen (projector screen plus projector, is NOT portable).

      ah, well, the cheapest 85" I can find around me cost double than this, and are about the same as the TW7400 - and still, those are the crap-o ones from sony(*096 series) or cheaper samsung (82", 8000 series) - about the price of samsung 65" QLEDs.
      On the other hand, the projector will have superb quality in a light-controlled environment, superb colour, great size
      I watch on an imperfect wight wall, no screen, HD (720p), at ~93" and I like it; will not go down to a 75" TV - thought about 85" but the price for the good ones is too high.
