I'm very particular about the products I use on my oily face, and oddly, I never really found a moisturizer which works for my skin type before this liitllextrra riceberry face moisturizer. Now I can say my facial skin is showing improvement with this. It doesn't react with my skin (indeed, my skin is very sensitive). Also, I am fond of the consistency of this moisturizer, it has a calming, light feeling that is not sticky. The texture is so featherlight yet hydrating. I even apply it on my lips to feel the hydration. I really wish they produce bigger tubes for this moisturizer because I've gone through 3-4 tubes. I really hope they create larger tubes.
my face feels perfect with riceberry face wash, vitamin c serum, along with moisturising cream and sunscreen. it’s my go to and couldn't live without this combo
Thanks doc. Always trust your videos yet I rarely comment so just wanted to say a huge thank you for always giving us the drugstore options that most of us can actually afford 😊
I'd love some recs for sunscreen for the body-The coverage area is larger, so I really need a good value solution to protect the less-sensitive skin of my arms and legs, and upper body when shirts are off.
I had a reaction to both (the cleaners and face moisturizers). I wear a separate water-resistant sunscreen which doesn’t require a moisturizer. I have super sensitive skin, dry skin….
DDS, I was wondering this exact question. Great video but I think, to the naked eye, both products have a white cast on your skin. I really appreciate your expertise and your view on SPF. Thank you. 😊
I use CeraVe PM with beauty of Joseon sunscreen. It seems to me that a dedicated moisturizer with a dedicated sunscreen would be more effective then a combination moisturizer with SPF. Am I right in that thinking, or is the effectiveness comparable? Great video by the way!
Love that you brought this point up. I would say that as long as you use enough of your moisturizer with spf, it should be adequate. If you need water resistant protection though, I would definitely go with a dedicated sunscreen. Sounds like you have a great routine 👍🤙thx for watching!
Hi Dr Sugai! Can you please review the Glow Recipe Serums? I'd love to hear your thoughts! I enjoy the watermelon dew drops and currently testing the strawberry BHA+AHA salicylic acid serum. I appreciate you and all your informative videos for all ages/needs ❤
I use CeraVe AM daily. I use the lightweight if I am going out & about wearing makeup. If I am picking out eye shadow, I reach for the lightweight. I have found that the Cetaphil face wash burns my sensitive skin. So I use the CeraVe face wash now...lovd it!😊
Can you also review Olay complete lotion moisturizer with spf? I’ve used for many years and know many people love it too. It’s also cheap. Love to hear your opinion.
I had purchased the CeraVe mineral sunscreen . It does give me that white cast but when I blend it with my medium color foundation ,I really like the results !👍However, I may purchase some of the products you mentioned . Thank you 😊
Nice to see other sunscreens that are also lightweight and provide skin protection in the sun 🌞 I've been using the Vanicream SPF 30 for awhile now . Thank you Dr. Sugai 🙂
thanks for the comparison. i use both facial moisturized and recently got the CeraVe ultra light and LOVE it for my oily skin. You pretty much just confirmed what I already knew and felt. Thanks again for sharing!
@@ooopticnerveee the CeraVe light one, no. The Cetaphil, no...the AM CeraVe. its been a while since I've used it so i cant really remember. i want to say no but honestly cant remember.
As a skin doctor. For a day where I’m mostly inside at work although at times near big windows with some sun blocking. Is moisturizer with spf enough ? Or should we use SPF after moisturizer.. Googling I can’t find anything that says go with moisturizer with SPF.. I think I’ll stick with moisturizer and last step with be spf
you would think companies would streamline their product line to avoid confusion. Looking at the cetaphil site for all their products, there almost appears to be 2-3 products that try and accomplish the same thing. Cerave is a little better, but vanicream is very straight forward.
I have used Cerave lotion & Cetaphil cleanser for years. But the Cerave Ultra SPF AM and the Cetaphil SPF burns my skin & turns it red. Must be the chemicals in them. For now, I am using Vanicream moisturizer with SPF or DRMTLGY 46.
Can you PLS pls pls make a video on how to fix broken skin barrier after using acids? I have been following your channel and watched a lot of your videos on anti aging, have purchased products from your recommendation and it has been so so helpful and educating. It would be great to get your input and thoughts as well as your professional opinion and steps in fixing a broken barrier issue. Thank you!!
Hi dr great video so I believe I have oily skin I purchased Cetaphil hydrating foaming cream cleanser will it still be effective for my oily skin & white heads & lil acne or should I return it & purchase the Daily facial Cleanser please can anyone respond and help me
According to allegations raised in a class action lawsuit against L'Oréal, CeraVe acne treatment products contain dangerously high levels of benzene, exposing consumers to a known human carcinogen that has been linked to the development of leukemia and other blood cancers.Mar 25, 2024

I’ve been using CeraVe AM for several years now. It works well under my makeup and blends in with no problems.
Thanks doc. Always trust your videos yet I rarely comment so just wanted to say a huge thank you for always giving us the drugstore options that most of us can actually afford 😊
Cerave Ultra Light is amazing! 63 year old skin, non-greasy, plays well with makeup! I love it, and love you, Dr. Sugai!
Thanks gonna try this brand. My current brand is kind of greasy.
@@suni.L worth a shot! If you do not like it return it. Here Target accepts returns of open items.
Say no more Doc! I’ve been contemplating this topic for months! Thank you!
Im allergic to something in Cerave, but I can use Cetaphil just fine
Cerave burns
same here, cerave does not work for me. I like cetaphil more.
I just started using Cerave..and it's amazing on my skin..I was so suprised...i.actually noticed in a few weeks..im.hooked...
I really like the CerVe. It works quite well and feels really good.
I'd love some recs for sunscreen for the body-The coverage area is larger, so I really need a good value solution to protect the less-sensitive skin of my arms and legs, and upper body when shirts are off.
I have only used Cetaphil in the past but just started using the CeraVe moisturizers and it’s a game changer
I had an allergic reaction to Cetaphil, very sensitive skin. Might try CeraVe again .
Me too with one of their facial cleanser
I had a reaction to both (the cleaners and face moisturizers). I wear a separate water-resistant sunscreen which doesn’t require a moisturizer. I have super sensitive skin, dry skin….
Cerave is just launching the daily moisturizer with SPF 50

Yes! They just came out with an SPF 40 with niacinamide, panthenol, and ceramides too. So looking forward to that comparison!
I have sensitive skin and rosacea on my face and began using Cetaphil a few years ago. I’ll never switch. My skin is flawless.😁
I have rosacea too, which product from Cetaphil do you like the most that doesn't trigger your rosacea?? Thanks!
Cerave just launched AM moisturizer with higher SPF 50. Look forward to trying it.
It’s terrible
Very greasy to my opinion

How about the Cetaphil DermaControl Oil Absorbing Moisturizer SPF 30?
Nice to see other sunscreens that are also lightweight and provide skin protection in the sun 🌞 I've been using the Vanicream SPF 30 for awhile now . Thank you Dr. Sugai 🙂
Cetaphil makes a spf 50 that’s what I use. It’s my favorite.
I have tinea versicolor I need the zinc oxide, so I have to use the CeraVe! Great review!
thanks for the comparison. i use both facial moisturized and recently got the CeraVe ultra light and LOVE it for my oily skin. You pretty much just confirmed what I already knew and felt. Thanks again for sharing!
Do you ever find it stings your eyes? That's a problem I have with a lot of drugstore sunscreens.

The white cast is nbd for me . I'm a pale, pasty, German/Swede lol. I need the Zinc Oxide otherwise I'll fry like an egg!

Should I take laser treatment for beard reduction?
Dr. Sugai, have you tested Cetaphil spf50 daily moisturizer? Would mind giving us some of your opinions?
Hi Dr Sugai! Do you have recommendations to close out pores on the face?
I have used Cerave lotion & Cetaphil cleanser for years. But the Cerave Ultra SPF AM and the Cetaphil SPF burns my skin & turns it red. Must be the chemicals in them. For now, I am using Vanicream moisturizer with SPF or DRMTLGY 46.

Can you do a video on facial hair cream removal for women.
Hi Dr
Is ulike air 3 ipl permanent for brown skin chin hair removal
Thx
Great video.. I've always wondered whether generic brands are comparable, what are your thoughts?
I have to use tinted sunscreen/moisturizer b/c of hyperpigmentation.
I use the Neutrogena Hydroboost SPF 50, and it sometimes makes me sweat like crazy. I can't figure out why. I wonder if one of these would be better.
I like the LRP double repair moisturizer with SPF. Olay has a moisturizer with SPF. Are there any body moisturizers with SPF?
???? Is it ok to use ceramides & niacinamide in your moisturizer after a chemical peel ( La Roche-Posay TRIPLE REPAIR MOISTURIZER CREAM)
How often do you have to reapply sunscreen if you work in the office and not outdoors?
How do these compare with Neutorgena Hydroboost with spf 50?
Doc, please compare both cream to foam cleanser too🙏🙏🙏
Team cetaphil!
🙌💪👍
Hi dr great video so I believe I have oily skin I purchased Cetaphil hydrating foaming cream cleanser will it still be effective for my oily skin & white heads & lil acne or should I return it & purchase the Daily facial Cleanser please can anyone respond and help me
