As a kid, I didn’t appreciate or really understand how talented these woman were/are. I mean wow- that energy, the vocals, the choreography, the team work. All with genuine-smiles. You can tell they’re having fun up there together. Love these women so much. They made my childhood very very special! Long live the Beautiful Spice Girls ✨🇬🇧
Victoria was criminally overlooked and underrated as a singer. She was so much better than people said, especially the tone deaf critics. The girl could sing her ass off.
I agree I love the way they work together. Victoria did a great vocal work, She was perfect! I love them when they were 5 or 4. For me this is one of their best concert, vocally. Mel C my fave Spice Girl!
right there with you April, Victoria always gets stick about her vocals, sounds good to me, as far as Mel C, she was the driving vocals, belts out in every tune.
The bass player in the pit orchestra is excellent. Of course, the focus here is on the performers and they are doing a great job. If you listen closely for the bass guitar though, you will hear state of the art groove and feel perfectly in the pocket. His name is listed in the end credits as John Thompson. I couldn't find him anywhere on the Internet, which is a bit surprising. I play bass for a living myself, so I know what I'm talking about. Wherever you are John Thompson, hats off to you brother; you are killin' it!
Great mention. I was wondering who was in the band here. Steve Lewinson is the bassist on the Wembley concert video, and he too has a deep and compelling groove, though with a more flowing style. Worth noting also that his brother Pete is a drummer and the two of them were in the Eurythmics reuninon band some years back, with Pete also being in Sade's band for her excellent 'Bring Me Home' concert DVD, which is also on RUclips. BTW, the drummer on the Wembley gig was Andy Gangadeen, who later did a tour with Jeff Beck. Though he was delighted to get the gig - 'Then the Man calls, you've got to go' - he later admitted that he was way out of his depth. Still, he gave Jeff a big groove to fit into.
Victoria was an alto... after gerri left she had to show her talent t and it really was nice. She pretends she has no talent comparative but keys be real...posh spice is amazing!!
"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end". And it was not the end because Geri came back and they rocked in 2007 reunion and 2012 olympic performance. Now we're missing Victoria but I do really hope they will perform again all together. Thanks Scary, Baby, Posh, Sporty and Ginger!

It took me a while to actually appreciate this concert. It's genius! The setlist, the costumes, the choreography, it was amazing. 1999 would have been a perfect time for the Spice Girls to release the album.

This concert was like ‘ginger who?’ Still got so much spice as a quartet I love it 😍 can’t help but always wonder what it would have been like with Geri during this era. What would she be like would she still be ginger or blonde hair would she have adapted and evolved who would Ginger have become if she’d stayed. But this concert proved that they were still amazing
she’ll be a short haired ginger not the reddish one just like her haircut during 1998 viva forever top of the pops performance era before she left wearing color orange to match the motif of her group members i think? 😉
She can sing but she’s not a Singer. She was the weakest but just as valuable. They didn’t give her much lead material. This was a clever girl concept. Simon Fuller knew what he was doing. Fuller YES! Not Cowell. 😉
This concert tour actually had 8 shows. But only 2 was televised. 4 in Manchester Arena. And 4 in Earls Court. I actually loved this concert because there were no distracting backup dancers just like the Istanbul concert.

I don’t understand how Victoria can say in interviews close to the 2019 tour that she never sang live and her microphone was deliberately turned down so track vocals could be heard more, when she’s clearly singing LIVE here and quite well tbh aha. She’s got a naturally low singing voice and manages to hold the notes well while still giving them enough power to be heard loud enough. I’ll always prefer Spice Girls as a 5 member band, but this quartet was better fitted than the four with Geri
I read somewhere that she was being quirky with the interviewer when she said that. She was being sarcastic because she’s been given so much crap about her vocals. My opinion at least. She sang live so often for that statement to be true
She is absolutely funny and down-to-earth and was the nicest spice girl I've met. People think she is so cold, but she is being funny when she stands still and poses while the other four dance like crazy. It is clear from their heyday that she is just as silly as the rest of them.
