I was 8 sitting in my home back in China watching this live dvd from my dad’s apple imac G3. It was the first time I got to know singers from the other side of the world. I never dreamed of actually being able to see u in person because that’d be too far away. I did not even understand what you were singing but I was deeply deeply impressed, to what extent I don’t even know. Those melodies from this tour had captured everything I ever cherished for back at home. Just 4 years later our family moved to Canada and ever since. I didn’t really have much chance to go back and my memories was blurred. I’ve always remembered sitting at my dad’s computer being amazed by Madonna. At least I remembered your name. 15 years later I finally got the chance to see you. It feels like a dream. Time feels ephemeral and life feels unreal. All of those years, all of the things I’ve experienced in my life are like a dream. I’m crying so much when I finally get to see you. Everything has changed.

This was the first Madonna show Ive been in my life, in Morumbi Stadium - São Paulo. Its capacity is for 80k people. I bought a ticket for the first of 2 nights as soon as they went on sale. After the SP shows she went to Buenos Aires to finish the tour. She eventually announced a third date in São Paulo, and, after the first night (I was seated far far away from the stage) I went straight to buy my ticket for the third night (and I kinda regret not being able to go to the second night as well), but thats ok because I bought ground floor. And there I was, having the time of my life for the second time in a Madonna concert, and, during Like A Prayer I vividly remember looking around the stadium which was all lighted up with the colorfull lights coming from the stage, and I was mesmerized on how she set 80k people on fire, there wasnt a single soul who was not chanting to this song, jumping, screaming, pouring our hearts and feeling it at full. And there was she, a single person onstage being responsible for this crowd catarsis. I hold this memory dear to my heart, and It is undoubtedly one of (if not THE) happiest moment I lived in this planet earth. Thank you Madonna.
Yo francamente no despreciaria su discografia- Quiero decir. ss indicutible que en materia de show y por mas que quieran imitarla es imposaible...pero grabando discos es practicamente la mejor cantante pop que haya existido. Puede tener sus altibajos pero se ha convertido en ungenero en si misma mientras al dia de hoy sigue infuenciando a muchas mujeres que, por razones obvias, no pueden alcanzar semejante carrera. Funny enough, when Madonna was huge in the 80s and 90s, so was the Argentine football legend Maradona, who shares almost very identical name, not to mention age too.

NOW this is a MADONNA CONCERT, her music is so kick ass, and makes you want to move! I understand she is older now, and she has done well for where she is in life, yet you can never be like you were when you were younger, had energy, had stamnia, and could move and dance. I love her music and she will always be a part of the music I listen to, as a concert like this brings me back to my childhood. She saved me in so many ways and Im eternally grateful to her.

Til now, I remember how I felt when 'Like A Prayer' started to play. It was freaking amazing! The whole stadium trembled! For me, this is the best tour that she has ever done. Not only because I had the privilege to see it, but the energy was insane. I’m 32 now, and I’ll never forget. ❤
How many artists can sing for two hours like that while keeping up with their own professional backup dancers........absolutely incredible. Even if you don't like her music you have to respect the talent and energy that's hard to replicate in 2019
Word on the street is her performances are mostly, if not all, are her lip syncing. Elton John has called her out for it, quite a few times and refuses to back down. When others said that she dances her tail off and is constantly moving, so she obv has to do something that allows her audience to hear and see the best. But others have counter argued that performers equal to her energy and such don’t phone in their voice- ie Pink. I don’t know if I share this opinion or not but I thought it was worth mentioning and starting a conversation about it. I am sure others who read and comment have more info and have experience dancing and singing for long amounts of time. I’m interested to hear from y’all-let’s try to be positive and not hateful.
@mi poor boy, watch Madonna’s Virgin Tour live in Detroit and compare it to the blonde ambition tour some 5 years later. It’s obvious she started singing over her own tracks or whatever the term is, not because she’s a fraud but because she’s a perfectionist and wants to give her fans a great show, you cannot dance like that and sing at the same time, if you’ve jogged and elevated your heart rate and need your lungs to breath you are unable to sing. Sorry folks but I’m positive artists have some help with the vocals because you either sing or dance, you cannot do both successfully. Get on a treadmill and try it out for yourselves. Take care

In Europe she always does stadiums and arenas, in US she makes all-arena shows, the only stadium she visits in US is Yankee Stadium, but also MSG, which is arena, in NYC. And Mexico and South America are ALL stadiums. So she does both..

i've been at this concert in Paris with my mum when i was 17, it was my first big concert, now i live far from her and i really miss her ive been crying since the half of the video and i still writing this. the audiance is so touching and her too plus the work is just another level of perfection. i dont believe in god but bless thoose moments in life i will never forget thoose two hours with my mum :) And thank you Madonna for beeing such an inspiration and love to all the others fans through the world

I am in awe that she was already in her 50's in 2008. 2 hours of non-stop aerobics, singing, and playing a guitar (never knew she could until I saw this video). What a show! Madonna, you are an inspiration to women everywhere. I'd go see her if she ever tours again. I heard the tickets for her last tour were like $400 each for the cheapest seats. Totally worth your entertainment dollar. This show had a special energy between the performer and the audience. Maybe I'll start putting this video on to up the energy and exercise. But nope, here I sit at the computer.
I think the same, M rehearsed 14 hours / day. No failure, only if there's unexpected events. She deserves every dollar, tours like this costs money, we can't imagine the resources involved: from conception to the show.

I saw this your live in Denver Co and it was insanely perfect. The energy she produces and the audience gives back is just crazy . You can’t really put it into words you just have to be there. I'm sure that by now its's been auto-tuned, but Madonna sounds utterly amazing on "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," especially in the lowers registers. There's a warmth to her voice that isn't usually there. The truth is that when Madonna just practices the hell out of something ("Sooner or Later" for the Oscars), she can deliver a fantastic performance. There will never be another one like Madonna. I love her!
I dont think the entire show has gone through the autotuner, the upbeat numbers with a lot of dancing or jumping around seem to have though, but not gratuitously like in the later concert dvds

This tour is so underrated. It’s production and energy are almost unmatched. MDNA beats it for theatrical factor but otherwise she was just moving and dancing like no one else.

Read my comment my friend : It is underrated when you speak to the fans for instance compared to other tours (which are more theatrical it's true). As a matter of fact all the energy and work she put into this tour (which is her most difficult in terms of choreographies physical energy etc) isn't valued as it should. And of course the era makes it underrated : nowadays concerts are way more watched and gross way more money which makes it soo underrated compared to others tours such as Taylor Swift' Era tour (she just walks on the stage for 2 hours lol it's really a shame).

And there I was, having the time of my life for the second time in a Madonna concert, and, during Like A Prayer I vividly remember looking around the stadium which was all lighted up with the colorfull lights coming from the stage, and I was mesmerized on how she set 80k people on fire, there wasnt a single soul who was not chanting to this song, jumping, screaming, pouring our hearts and feeling it at full. And there was she, a single person onstage being responsible for this crowd catarsis. I hold this memory dear to my heart, and It is undoubtedly one of (if not THE) happiest moment I lived in this planet earth. Thank you Madonna.

Puede tener sus altibajos pero se ha convertido en ungenero en si misma mientras al dia de hoy sigue infuenciando a muchas mujeres que, por razones obvias, no pueden alcanzar semejante carrera.

NOW this is a MADONNA CONCERT, her music is so kick ass, and makes you want to move! I understand she is older now, and she has done well for where she is in life, yet you can never be like you were when you were younger, had energy, had stamnia, and could move and dance. I love her music and she will always be a part of the music I listen to, as a concert like this brings me back to my childhood. She saved me in so many ways and Im eternally grateful to her.

Til now, I remember how I felt when 'Like A Prayer' started to play. It was freaking amazing! The whole stadium trembled! For me, this is the best tour that she has ever done. Not only because I had the privilege to see it, but the energy was insane. I’m 32 now, and I’ll never forget. ❤

How many artists can sing for two hours like that while keeping up with their own professional backup dancers........absolutely incredible. Even if you don't like her music you have to respect the talent and energy that's hard to replicate in 2019
Word on the street is her performances are mostly, if not all, are her lip syncing. Elton John has called her out for it, quite a few times and refuses to back down. When others said that she dances her tail off and is constantly moving, so she obv has to do something that allows her audience to hear and see the best. But others have counter argued that performers equal to her energy and such don’t phone in their voice- ie Pink. I don’t know if I share this opinion or not but I thought it was worth mentioning and starting a conversation about it. I am sure others who read and comment have more info and have experience dancing and singing for long amounts of time. I’m interested to hear from y’all-let’s try to be positive and not hateful.

@mi poor boy, watch Madonna’s Virgin Tour live in Detroit and compare it to the blonde ambition tour some 5 years later. It’s obvious she started singing over her own tracks or whatever the term is, not because she’s a fraud but because she’s a perfectionist and wants to give her fans a great show, you cannot dance like that and sing at the same time, if you’ve jogged and elevated your heart rate and need your lungs to breath you are unable to sing. Sorry folks but I’m positive artists have some help with the vocals because you either sing or dance, you cannot do both successfully. Get on a treadmill and try it out for yourselves. Take care

I am in awe that she was already in her 50's in 2008. 2 hours of non-stop aerobics, singing, and playing a guitar (never knew she could until I saw this video). What a show! Madonna, you are an inspiration to women everywhere. I'd go see her if she ever tours again. I heard the tickets for her last tour were like $400 each for the cheapest seats. Totally worth your entertainment dollar.

Madonna is a very talent person. I can tell after all years that everything she does , gives all her energy. For an artist it's very hard everytime to be better -to be on the top. she disserves this place. MADONNA FOR EVER.
I'm sure that by now its's been auto-tuned, but Madonna sounds utterly amazing on "Don't Cry For Me Argentina," especially in the lowers registers. There's a warmth to her voice that isn't usually there. The truth is that when Madonna just practices the hell out of something ("Sooner or Later" for the Oscars), she can deliver a fantastic performance. There will never be another one like Madonna. I love her!
I dont think the entire show has gone through the autotuner, the upbeat numbers with a lot of dancing or jumping around seem to have though, but not gratuitously like in the later concert dvds

Gracias!!!! esa noche estuve ahí. Todos lloramos de emoción. Esa tarde el día estaba súper nublado y antes de que empiece el show llovía un poco. Estábamos rogando no se largara fuerte por temor a que lo suspendieran. Cuando el show empezó, mágicamente dejo de llover ,y por eso madonna dice "Fuck the rain ". La amo hasta el infinito señora.
