  • With the requirement to file all flight plans using ICAO format coming soon, pilots need to understand what codes to enter in which fields. This video takes you through setting up a Cirrus Vision Jet in Garmin Pilot, and serves as a great example of how easy this is to file ICAO-formatted flight plans using Garmin Pilot.

    Why not show a more common airplane like a Cessna 172 or SR-22?

    This is an absolute mess. This one thing is why most GA guys do not file a flight plan. It is sad in that deciphering this is like an absolute foreign language. I have been trying to understand this for weeks. You know the guys at 1-800 WX BRIEF have got to be frustrated trying to help young GA pilots understand this. This system is a joke.
