Just wanted to thank you for recommending these game changing tips. I almost gave up on Oud Wood and was going to get myself the Nishane Kredo which has some similarly to OW but stronger sharper less refined; to my nose not the same as OW. Then I saw your video and went to TF to get the spray and body moisturiser. Happy to make the OW a keeper with these additions. Well done you must have gone thru the same frustrations.

My bottle arrived yesterday opened it and sprayed it the opening smelted like raid but as it settled down it's very woody vetiver tonka it suites my age mid 40's and very classy scent year round skin scent projection not loud which I LIKE.

Love Oud Wood, I wear it to the office and always enjoy it. I also enjoy Royal Oud and Carved Oud .
I used this fragrance today and I got a compliment from a lady. She told me that I smelled very nice. It was humid and kinda warm and for me I feel this scent has a note like wet wood or wood that is like rotting and when its humid I think it shines but thats just my opinion. I don't love it but I think it's a nice fragrance.

Tom ford oud wood on special events or dinners ect, creed silver mountain water for casual everyday fragrance. I love them and are both my gems for me lol

I going to wearing this again. I personally didnt like it, but I will give it another shot. My favorite oud fragrance is Oud Silk Mood by MFK. On another note, the camera/film and sound quality has improved greatly. Keep up the good work.

This was my first private blend from Tom Ford. It's still one of my favorites. I just wish there was a way to make it last longer. Besides reapplying 3 or 4 times throughout the day.
Available here (ger) as a 30ml bottle as well, which helped me get into this scent.

I picked up the 100mL bottle of the Oud Wood but I’m definitely going to be getting the moisturizer and the body spray to enhance the longevity of it, great tip. I’m a big fan of the Noir, Black Orchid Parfum, and the Black Orchid EDP I’ve gotten a lot of compliments wearing those when I’ve gone out.
You shouldn’t have to do that at the price you are paying for the fragrance it’s set . I hate the fact these giant companies charge an arm and a leg for something that has average performance
The performance is weak ?
@@hocineted7594 It projects for about 1-2 hours about 2-3 feet. Stays on, my skin at least, about 8 hours tops. I feel like its a good date cologne, if you know you're gonna get up close and personal with said date.
I bought Oil Perfumery's inspiration of Oud Wood, its a roll on oil and I pair it with the Tom Ford..... it makes it stronger, imo.
Wear on clothes guys our skin make up absorbs these fragrances

Oud wood is really hard to find....i got tobacco oud n that's really good
For those who like TFOW, I suggest you get your nose on Thameen Carved Oud. It's a little bit more refined than OW. As with TFTL and PdM Godolphin, sometimes a different interpretation is just as worthy. In case of TL and Godolphin, I'd say Godolphin is more office-safe, and TL is for evening, date, events etc. However, in case of CO vs. OW - I really feel CO is more refined all around. It's just a little bit better than OW. And it also lasts longer.
If you have to choose one, I'll recommend CO... but having both is better :)
All other "interpretations" of OW - Versace, Gucci, Al Haramain, Montale ... - they are all subpar. Imho, they all suck. Only CO is on par (a little bit better).

How long does it last?
I just bought Oud Wood and I absolutely love it. My only regret is I wish I would have bought the 100 mL instead of the 50 mL because you have to spray on a minimum of 15 sprays, 20 or 25 is even better, because it just will not last otherwise.
MINIMUM!? Your clothes/skin would be soaked after that would they not ?
@@zezzzz1650before I put on my shirt, 2 sprays on torso, one on each side of the neck, one back of the neck, one in my hair, and a spray on each arm. Then after I put my shirt on two spray from a little further away because I don’t want to stain the outside of my shirt with oils. That’s 10 sprays, and it doesn’t even really last all day although I smell myself and anybody who gets real close will. For projection, a few more sprays are needed. Many other scents might only need 2-3 sprays total and it lasts all day. It’s strange, this formula isn’t very potent.

One of the recent batches was absolutely awful, it was barely a shadow of the original scent. No projection, disappeared quickly. Anyone had the same issue?

Yes, TF oud wood is very poor performance considering its price. For that price I expect 6-8 hours.

I must be missing something! I blind bought TF Oud Wood, and tried it once - didn't like it. Today, I gave it a second chance and decided to throw it in the trash. I came here to see what others had to say, and it seems everyone else loves it. I honestly don't get it!

I smelled it at a store a couple weeks ago, it smelled weird. I'm not sure how it could be likeable. Next time I'll try it on to see where it goes. I think oud is something you either like or hate
Personally I felt this way about Dior Fahrenheit so what I did was spray on skin and let it sit for a hour before I judged it off the test strip I wasn’t a fan at all
