I pray for healing for RS. He has been very special since the day he was born. Born w a purpose....he gave uniek the ability to be a mother which is what her instincts drive her to do. He completed that mission but he is not done yet. He has a purpose it may only be to be someone's companion and loyal friend...who knows but he is definitely and will forever be SPECIAL and very much loved.

I don't know how people in other countries do things, but I have lived in several states here in the US, and when storms were approaching, a lot of us would go outside to watch! Some would drive out for better views too. There's something about a strong storm that awakens feelings inside of many people, and I'm one of them!

I know we're all desperate to see risey but I have to admit, it was nice to see this video. Lol yfke was like mum's milk tastes much better 😋 while her mum was like yummy powdered milk 😆.. The swallows are cute but you mustn't get too close as unfortunately the parents might abandon the chicks if they see you. I always use a camera with a very long zoom which means I can get close to wildlife without literally getting close 😊

That was quite the storm! We very , very, rarely get hurricane type storms here 🇨🇦 but we do get blizzards of snow. Usually there is a few days warning on the weather forecast so you go out and buy anything you need then hunker down inside and wait for it to blow over then start shoveling the snow off the driveway etc. Awaiting news on Rising Star. ❤

Apparently, she has always had that problem...but it does not interfere with her bringing beautiful foals, just occasionally they have needed extra nutrition, growing up strong and beautiful like their Mem!
My prayers are with you & Risey for health & strength as you both recover. Wow! That storm looks like those we have here in Florida, US. So glad no one was injured when the glass window shattered. We use double-paned tempered glass or 3M brand plastic window shield coatings or shutters here to eliminate shattering. It’s good that Bauke is so handy with carpentry. Who is the approved stallion used for Reintje? (My favorite among the younger stallions is Uniek’s nephew (out of her sire line), the 6-year old Faust 523 Sport AAA. He is out of a strong model/Preferent mare line from Ulbe 338 & Jasper 366. He is tall at 1.70 stick height, magnificent, graceful & very sports talented as well. Maybe he will be used at as a sire at Stal G and/or Stal H sometime.

In such condition, rest is medically advised which is why Yvonne brought him to Stal H earlier than she probably planned. Remaining with his peers would require him to exert himself which could make his lameness worst as this condition is related to motor functions.

After yesterday's video, I half thought that when Yvonne went to film Spidey in his Stall, I'd see Rising Star in there with him. But, no! It was Bjarni. So, I suppose that this video was made before we found out about Risey's lameness. 😢 I'm very eager to see Rising Star at Stal H. I wonder about where Yvonne can put him though. If she has any sturdy, strong, fenced in area on her farm, suitable for containing a Stallion, I've not seen it yet. With Wintertime upon us, it's not really fencing time either. I'm not worried about it though. Yvonne always has these matters well in hand. I hope we get a video of Rising Star's homecoming soon, and an explanation about his lameness. Google tells me that there are many different causes for this, and a whole lot of different treatments that can be used to promote healing. I look forward to hearing about Risey's condition and prognosis. Hopefully, there is a glimmer of hope somewhere. 👁💙Friesian 🐎🐎🐎 and Risey🐴!

He's not going to be able to go to Inspection. He won't get a Ster. He won't be a part of any breeding program, and his Dressage career is over before it's begun." Then, I thought "Risey is young and strong. Google says that sometimes lameness is curable, but it could take a year or more." That gave me HOPE. I'm just going to 🤞and pray.

How startling it must have been to be sitting right there when the branch broke the window!😲😳 When you asked who would help you clean up, I thought, I bet the horses and ponies would like to get at those leaves.😊It is very interesting to see the difference in temperament between Uniek and Coralle. I am so glad you have been able to bring Coralle to Stal H while she grows Uniek's foal. I will miss her after the baby is weaned and she goes back to her owner. In the meantime, she is part of our herd!

Wow, that was quite the storm. You and Bauke must have had quite the shock when that branch broke the window. Thankfully, it only broke the outer pane and not both panes of glass. It's nice to see Coralle calling to the rest of the herd after she and Uniek were outside on their own. She has become a member of the herd. I think Uniek looks at her antics and thinks "tsk, tsk Youngsters and their energy."
I'm referring to Yvonne's comment in the video about the difference in their temperaments, not ages actually. Coralle is friskier which is like a young Friesian filly to a sensible Friesian queen.
It’s so interesting how you can easily artificially Inseminate your horses 😮 . I’d be terrified. Horses are amazing animals. How they stand there without moving much is just so amazing. I KNOW As a woman I HATE going to the Doctor and having them sticking hands and doing the yearly Screening for cancer. ( The Female Yearly Check up) 😳😱😱😱. I pray for healing for RS. He has been very special since the day he was born. Born w a purpose....he gave uniek the ability to be a mother which is what her instincts drive her to do. He completed that mission but he is not done yet. He has a purpose it may only be to be someone's companion and loyal friend...who knows but he is definitely and will forever be SPECIAL and very much loved.

I'm sure it will be complicated, having a stallion at Stal H, but it will be nice to be able to see him all the time! And with all the male foals growing, this will be a problem Yvonne would have to face eventually anyway.

It will be interesting to see how Rising Star settles in to his new surroundings. I know you’re going to do everything possible to help him.. how do you handle the possibility of an accidental breeding? I know you’ll keep your eye on all of that you are very well aware. I don't know how people in other countries do things, but I have lived in several states here in the US, and when storms were approaching, a lot of us would go outside to watch! Some would drive out for better views too. There's something about a strong storm that awakens feelings inside of many people, and I'm one of them!

The swallows are cute but you mustn't get too close as unfortunately the parents might abandon the chicks if they see you. I always use a camera with a very long zoom which means I can get close to wildlife without literally getting close 😊

That was quite the storm! We very , very, rarely get hurricane type storms here 🇨🇦 but we do get blizzards of snow. Usually there is a few days warning on the weather forecast so you go out and buy anything you need then hunker down inside and wait for it to blow over then start shoveling the snow off the driveway etc. Awaiting news on Rising Star. ❤

Apparently, she has always had that problem...but it does not interfere with her bringing beautiful foals, just occasionally they have needed extra nutrition, growing up strong and beautiful like their Mem!
Is the one teat hereditary? And can be an issue for mares and foals for generations?

Wow! That storm looks like those we have here in Florida, US. So glad no one was injured when the glass window shattered. We use double-paned tempered glass or 3M brand plastic window shield coatings or shutters here to eliminate shattering. It’s good that Bauke is so handy with carpentry. Who is the approved stallion used for Reintje? (My favorite among the younger stallions is Uniek’s nephew (out of her sire line), the 6-year old Faust 523 Sport AAA. He is out of a strong model/Preferent mare line from Ulbe 338 & Jasper 366. He is tall at 1.70 stick height, magnificent, graceful & very sports talented as well. Maybe he will be used at as a sire at Stal G and/or Stal H sometime.

In such condition, rest is medically advised which is why Yvonne brought him to Stal H earlier than she probably planned. Remaining with his peers would require him to exert himself which could make his lameness worst as this condition is related to motor functions.

I'm very eager to see Rising Star at Stal H. I wonder about where Yvonne can put him though. If she has any sturdy, strong, fenced in area on her farm, suitable for containing a Stallion, I've not seen it yet. With Wintertime upon us, it's not really fencing time either. I'm not worried about it though. Yvonne always has these matters well in hand.
I hope we get a video of Rising Star's homecoming soon, and an explanation about his lameness. Google tells me that there are many different causes for this, and a whole lot of different treatments that can be used to promote healing. I look forward to hearing about Risey's condition and prognosis. Hopefully, there is a glimmer of hope somewhere.

I'm with you on Risey! I'd hoped to see foals from him also, and the first thing I thought when Yvonne told us of his lameness was "Oh, no! He's not going to be able to go to Inspection. He won't get a Ster. He won't be a part of any breeding program, and his Dressage career is over before it's begun."
Then, I thought "Risey is young and strong. Google says that sometimes lameness is curable, but it could take a year or more." That gave me HOPE.

How startling it must have been to be sitting right there when the branch broke the window!😲😳 When you asked who would help you clean up, I thought, I bet the horses and ponies would like to get at those leaves.😊It is very interesting to see the difference in temperament between Uniek and Coralle. I am so glad you have been able to bring Coralle to Stal H while she grows Uniek's foal. I will miss her after the baby is weaned and she goes back to her owner. In the meantime, she is part of our herd!

Wow, that was quite the storm. You and Bauke must have had quite the shock when that branch broke the window. Thankfully, it only broke the outer pane and not both panes of glass. It's nice to see Coralle calling to the rest of the herd after she and Uniek were outside on their own. She has become a member of the herd. I think Uniek looks at her antics and thinks "tsk, tsk Youngsters and their energy."
Uniek is not an old mare....she has plenty of energy of her own....
I'm referring to Yvonne's comment in the video about the difference in their temperaments, not ages actually. Coralle is friskier which is like a young Friesian filly to a sensible Friesian queen.
It’s so interesting how you can easily artificially Inseminate your horses 😮 . I’d be terrified. Horses are amazing animals. How they stand there without moving much is just so amazing. I KNOW As a woman I HATE going to the Doctor and having them sticking hands and doing the yearly Screening for cancer. ( The Female Yearly Check up) 😳😱😱😱.
