  • Olympic legend and world record holder Ryan Lochte comes up against Mason Manta Rays' Carson Foster - who, a few hours before, had broken the pool record by a full 2 seconds. Joining them in the Men's 200M IM A Final are Abrahm DeVine and Jay Litherland.
    Will it be the twelve-time Olympic medallist, the University of Texas commit, the #4 in the nation or last night's 400m IM champion that will take first place? Join USA Swimming at the TYR Pro Swim Series at Greensboro to find out.

I'd pay ZERO attention to the keyboard warrior haters - none of them are out there swimming because it's what they love do to, in a meet where they're seconds away from beating a KID who grew up idolizing them, or working their assess off IN THE PUBLIC to rectify their past mistakes and earn a new reputation as an Olympian AND AN ADULT the country can be proud of. Ryan Lochte is doing what we should ALL strive to do when we've screwed up in the past, but we accept our responsibility and we put in the work to make it right. Despite Lochte's past, it's cool that he's this old and still pulling good times in his event. But on the other hand, at 4:33 in the video you can see him hit that illegal breaststroke pullout. Too bad Cody Miller got DQ'd in Peru for something Lochte just got away with.

    • @andysteinkamp9708
      @andysteinkamp9708 4 года назад +1

      @@ahildy Well with a breaststroke pullout you're technically allowed one dolphin kick, most breaststrokers take the dolphin kick, then pull their arms down, but as they pull their arms down their legs tend to follow a natural rhythm that can resemble a very subtle dolphin kick, this is probably done on purpose by most athletes to get a slight edge before they breakout; not to mention it's hard for officials to see without an underwater camera. This issue is what got Olympic Swimmer Cody Miller disqualified in his 100 breaststroke at the Peru Pan American Games. It's an obnoxious discrepancy and truthfully officials should just leave it be.

    Every swimmer in that A final easily qualified for the 2020 Olympic trials. Carson was 11 seconds faster than it. Carson also beat world record holder Ryan Lochte.

      The trials cut is a 2:04.09. Not everyone in that heat got it. Carson Foster was only a little more than 5 seconds under, not 11.
