I love your room set up! Thanks for sharing. Would you be able to share with me the charts you have up for each grade level? I’d love to make something like that for my classroom.

Nicely done! The stereo would be perfect for a history lesson about the way we used to listen to music. Lol

Hi great video for architecture students to get some information for designing a music classroom. I'm just curious about the space area, is there problems with current space?

I love your videos and your colorful room.🤗What are you doing (set up wise) for spacing this year. Are you substituting any thing for singing? Will the students do any Ukulele? If so how much time do you spend with ukuleles? Thank you for your time! Have a good day!😊🤗🤗

Thanks! :) I won't be doing ukuleles the traditional way as long as the current situation remains, but I have some ideas up my sleeve, including a virtual ukulele option! Here's a post I just wrote with ideas for instruments during covid: caldwellorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/2020/08/elementary-music-without-shared.html I'm also planning for no singing in person, which is SO so sad and mind-bending to think about! I wrote a post with my ideas for that too: caldwellorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/2020/07/elementary-music-without-singing.html

Forgot to answer your question about spacing! I won't be in my classroom in the current plan, because we need all the rooms in our building to space the students out in cohorts. I'll be going around on a cart. If I was going to be in my room I would probably keep the chairs and spread them out more, honestly, because those would be easier to sanitize than the floor or anything like that.

I love your setup! Can you tell me what your team jobs are? I couldn't see them clearly in the video, and I'd like to implement something like that this year with my students. We have a lot of the same resources, and ideas about organization. Brava!

Thank you! The jobs I have now are teacher helper, line leader, supplies, clean up, warmup leader, and compliment. You can read about how I do my jobs in this post (it's #3): caldwellorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/2019/07/color-teams-in-music-room.html

Looks Great! Where did you get those Djembe drums? I'm looking to add more drums to my classroom. Do you like them? Do they hold up well under lots of use? Thanks!

Thank you! The rainbow-colored djembe drums are these: www.wwbw.com/Toca-Freestyle-ColorSound-Djembe-H88018-H88018000001001.wwbw?source=TWWR5J1BB&cntry=us¤cy=usd&gclid=CjwKCAjw7anqBRALEiwAgvGgm9WTZHpV759hXreT9bCFcCw1lakLBfoeuZB_MHXLpQgnqrkVikBRdxoClMMQAvD_BwE
I've had them for years and they have held up well. I love them for younger students for sure- they are fine for middle school age but definitely a bit small, which is why I've now gotten the larger tubanos.
