that's a really interesting comment, actually- I think among music teachers most of us would say there are more kids who know about the "traditional" classical orchestra instruments than about electronic/ modern instruments because our curriculum is so far behind the times. Just another example of school being out of touch with modern society...

I actually got this one on clearance at Michaels I believe, but it's a Happy Planner cover. I've seen them on sale at Michaels, Staples, JoAnne's, and maybe Target? Yay! I have loved using this system for over a decade, so I can definitely vouch for it :) I use 24-28lb paper, and I have gotten a few different punches on clearance over the years- the cheapest one I've seen (that still works really well) is the Levenger circa travel punch that goes on clearance for $10 a few times a year. Does it count if I have it in a basket and not on the floor? I'm pretty sure the straps on my bag would break pretty quickly if it was permanently hung on a hook 😅

My projector speakers are terrible! We were able to get bluetooth speakers for all the arts teachers last year and, although it's not surround sound or anything, it is far superior (and good enough for most of what I do in my classroom). Might be a more palatable option for your admin if you're having trouble getting funding?

I got it on Amazon. I haven't had students in the room to see how it holds up to that wear and tear, but it has been on the carpet for about a week in high humidity/ fluctuating temps without coming up so that's a good sign! amzn.to/3jicq66

Most similar software will have a way to insert tables and you can do pretty much the same thing, whether that's Keynote, Google Slides, or something else :)

Pre-pandemic I did not take attendance, but this year I take attendance on my seating chart, which is color coded with the same colors I have marked on the floor. Pre-pandemic I used the boxes I now use for attendance as a place to mark assessment data. Hi! It sounds like you need to select "scale to fit printer" (or another similar wording) when you are printing. When you go to print, there should be a spot that says something like "print 100%" or "print full page", and there should be a place to select fit to page. Try that with one page, it should automatically adjust it for you. Let me know if you have trouble figuring out where to do this- it's a little different on every computer and printer!
