This is such a lifesaver. I just came into a job that’s P-12 (small rural school) and I have over THIRTY UKULELES just sitting on the ground in a corner collecting dust. This organizational video is AMAZING. I think I need to really polish my ukulele skills

Hi Courtney, I usually use them for identification games. I have teams and 1 student from each team comes up the board. I clap a rhythm for example and then they have to race to smack it first. Things like that! Super fun!

I subscribed and liked with notifications on ma’am. I’m a 10th grade student in high school and I want to be a teacher☺️📚. I really like your classroom and how organized it is!! Also, I was wondering what is your restroom procedures in your classroom? In high school, kids like to abuse the privileges in my classes. My teachers do 4 passes per 9 weeks. I stay well hydrated and go at breaks but unfortunately I have to go sometimes in class and have to use my passes😭🤦🏻♂️. I’ve had teachers who refused me permission to use it and I had to go so bad I couldn’t even focus!! Them kids ruined the privilege for me and other really good kids who may really need to go from getting permission. I look forward to future videos on your channel😃.
Thanks, Ryan! Thats so exciting! The bathroom rules are always a tough one. My procedure is only if it is an emergency, but I usually let kids go! If I have a student that asks me a few classes in a row to go to the bathroom, then I will work with them to try to figure out a better time for them to go, so that they don't need to miss class time in music.
Music and Motivate thanks for being understanding because sometimes we just need a extra bathroom break! That’s awesome if they go often you are going to help them go at better times. I stay hydrated so sometimes I need a bathroom break!

I am a music teacher, Bangalore, India... Your videos are very helpful. Can you please give some activities for senior children and tips for behavior.
Bangalore! So cool! Thank you so much. With older kids, I try to do more projects. For example, create your own instrument, draw a picture and play it, soundscapes, chords on boomwhackers, etc.
As for behavior, it is tough with the older ones. I truly believe if you find something that they enjoy and engages them, behavior definitely get better! I keep high expectations and have multiple levels of consequences. For example, sitting out of the activity, doing a worksheet related to the activity if they cannot do it safely or participate in the way I ask them, lunch detention.
