If you exclude black and hispanic student scores America becomes competitive again.
The most recent PISA results, from 2015, placed the U.S. an unimpressive 38th out of 71 countries in math and 24th in science.
When US racial and ethnic groups are separately compared with other countries, Asian and white students regularly perform at or near the top of international rankings, while
black and Hispanic students typically rank at or near the bottom.

Segregation is not about race. It is about culture.

She's colored. You're not going to segregate her?

Without discipline there can be no learning. Without parents supporting their children, loving and encouraging their children to obey the rules their can be no quality teachers or administrators. It’s exhausting for all. I’m from the South and I am a product of public schools during the years of segregation and the Cuban immigrant years. Once the dust settled we all survived. Children were fine and made lifetime friends. New Orleans has a very diverse culture. Please come visit.

      So you write off segregation
      and it's pernicious influence
and then say New Orleans is a diverse city avd you ask people to visit?
Not interested in visiting a racist city . Diversity won't change that fact .

Well we will be the ones to achieve. Segregation is the best way. Others are still hanging on to old ideas. This is not a new idea foul up move its a literal concept that'll bring prosperity not just in monetary value. It's money that corrupts so says the Bible.

Lol. No wonder I've never had any white friends. Not that that's what I'm looking for it's just that here in nyc, you're either segregated or all minorities are lumped into one group so that's why I've had friends that are latino, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Egyptian, Jamaican, Haitian, African American but I've never met a white person because of the segregation. It was until I went to college where I met some Ukrainian and Russian students and that's pretty much it lol.

Get ride of schools and let the parents teach them. Kids will learn. American teachers are the worst in the world.

Those talking heads sure were hoping this issue was a "Deep South" or red state issue. Liberals make me laugh.

They said that because that's where segregation was known be back in the day. But of course things changed. I'm a New Yorker and it's still shocking to me that a place that's known to have people from all over the world is so segregated. Even in one neighborhood you'd see an all black school, an all Asian school, a Hispanic school, a white school etc. And they could all be just a few blocks away from each other. It's crazy lol.
