The question is what song should have been substituted for Verse chorus verse on Nevermind? We all know it should be there if not a damn single for SURE. But what song? I for the life of me can't choose... The obvious is Drain you because of how similar. But that is a HUGE no no.. Drain you should of been a single on its own... So what say you guys?

Aaron, thank you for the vast amount of thought and love you have put into videos related to Kurt, his tone, and gear. Its really nice to see someone still keeping this important moment of music history alive. In '91 I was 16. My friends and I found our music and our zeitgeist in Nevermind. The band rescued rock music for the doldrums of hair metal and non rock that had dominated the charts for several years. Kurt was always somewhat of a mystery back then. Considered a massive hack in the world of guitar players, though obviously a genius songwriter, or at least a super lucky one. I always wondered what would have come in the years following his passing. How dark would he have become as his addiction progressed? What would his renaissance be like if he subsequently kicked the H? What would his collaborations have been like? What unexpected influences would infiltrate his musical mind as his life progressed?
    Obviously, we can only speculate.
    But thanks.
Thanks for keeping him alive in this most respectable manner.
    Keep going brother.

Wow! So many things in this video that are also like me! I’m a lefty that plays right handed, I’m now getting a fascination for aluminium (I’m from the UK, so spell it differently. And….. I’m broke! :( Interesting fact.. I’m from Ipswich - where all the iconic Celestion speakers were made. It blows my mind that the factory is long gone and there are now just houses in its place. We have nothing to show for what that place did to change the sound of music forever. When I was younger I used to work a stones throw from the site of the factory, but because Ipswich is a quiet town and the whole area is known for being meek and modest, we never have, to my knowledge, had a memorial, plaque, sign, or anything to commemorate such a great contribution to modern music.
Keep doing what you’re doing. I love the channel. If you ever want to head over to the UK and make a documentary about where these speakers came from, I’d be more than happy to show you around.

Pickups definitely matter, but amps definitely do not, at least not for recording. You can make pretty much ANY amp sound exactly like any other amp provided that you know what the tone stack is doing, and how to flatten it. There’s still sag and bias and tubes (lol) and all that but really the tone stack is where the bulk of the tonal changes are happening.

Thanks a lot for answering my question! I am a big fan of Steve Albini as a musician and as a recording engineer. Although I am completely poor, I still dream of a park of microphones, because the good microphones along with speakers and rooms are the main recipe for getting the sound you are looking for. One of the reasons why I decided to become a truck driver is the money I can earn to keep doing what I love. Your channel is very inspiring! Especially since you said in this video that you are not a super rich person. As Kurt Cobain said: I have met many minds able to store and translate a pregnantly large amount of information, yet they haven't an ounce of talent for wisdom or the appreciation of passion. As long as you are passionate about something and burning with it, your life is much more interesting. Sorry about my English, it's not my native language. Greetings from Belarus! Peace!✌
