    The rose quartz bracelet doesn’t really look fake in pictures but I looked at the one at my five below and as soon as you touch it you know immediately it’s plastic. They didn’t even try to fake it with glass 😬

    Yellow jasper is a real stone for sure. It’s used a lot in these chakra sets as it’s a cheaper stone. It’s usually the color of a dark mustard.

    Best way to figure it out is the burn test. Put a lighter to it, if it doesn't melt and it cools down pretty quickly after you pull the lighter away, it's real. If it melts or stays warm for a long time after you've pulled the lighter away, it's plastic.

    I enjoy deciphering fakes from real, but I really want to learn more about metaphysical properties of crystals. I was wondering if you could do more videos focusing on the properties of crystals and how or why someone can use it. There may be other youtubers that already make these videos, but I like how you explain things. Knowing you do your research makes me trust your content.

    Thank you, I found your video by asking Google if stones from "Five And Below" are real. I am very glad I found your video to help give insite. I did buy "The Power of The Moon" book & lunar oracle card set. I am not sure if the moonstone it comes with is real, but the book & Oracle cards in my opinion still make it a great deal to have. I also ended up getting a similar tumble stone set for $3.50 called "Moon Stones 5 Ancient Celestial Stones." I will have to watch some more of your videos on these stones listed in the pack to see which ones might be real & which ones might not be. One of them listed is infact selenite. So I am getting ready to watch your selenite video. Thank you so much. ❤️

    Great video! - really love how informative you always are 💖 - quick question - do you know how you can tell heat treated smoky quartz vs. natural smoky quartz? I have a tower and top polished point and a couple other pieces (carvings etc.) that I’m not really sure how to tell if they’re natural smoky or irradiated by man and it’s been driving me crazy 🤪

    • @ColdBrewBarbie
      @ColdBrewBarbie  3 года назад +3

      Thank you! Yes I've been learning how to tell this! The ones that almost look black I believe are the heat treated ones! Also a good way to tell is if they have the white base or white inside! I will try to make a video on this soon!

    I actually did some research on this "turquintine" apparently it is a real stone a mix of howlite and turquoise. Fascinating. This doesn't really prove however, that the one in this kit is real! Thanks 4 these videos. Love it!

    • @snailart14
      @snailart14 3 года назад +1

      I'm really confused, because some sites say that turquintine is just dyed howlite but some make it out to he 100% natural. I'm pretty sure it's a real stone but it's just dyed.

    Barbie, I love your channel! I checked your Etsy and there is barely anything left in stock and I know you’re trying to restock so I hope I don’t sound like a karen to you! Congrats on getting so many sales, I’d love if you restocked selenite slabs and stuff like that because you don’t have any tumble stones, you only have carved stuff or spheres (which is great and it’s hard to see a shop like this) I love your channel so much as well. You’re a great You-tuber as-well, it be nice though if you added raw crystals and tumble stones because I have a massive collection of them and I’d love to expand especially with items from your shop on my shelf! I LOVE the selenite slabs but they’re out of stock :( back in stock! I’ll definitely get one when I can! GOOD LUCK I WISH U ALL THE BEST ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    The turquentine reminded me of Adifas...which were fake/knock off Adidas that had 4 stripes instead of 3. That was a long time ago, like in the days when kids were embarrassed to have to wear Champion because they couldn’t afford brands like Nike. Good times.
    Anywho, I have a few yellow jasper tumbles or at least I believe I do. I am new to crystals so I haven’t been out in the wild just yet (aka just ordering things online lol), but it matches the photo in one of my books.

    what if a native American friend offers you some white sage is it still okay to use?

    • @PhoenixHyena
      @PhoenixHyena 3 года назад +1

      i think in that case its cultural appreciation. That friend who is indigenous wanted you to have it and appreciate and respect that aspect of their culture and seems to trust you would use it in a respectful way.

    • @PhoenixHyena
      @PhoenixHyena 3 года назад +1

      there are ways to appreciate a culture without appropriating it! Its like having a real Yukata in ur possession as you appreciate the beauty of it and may wear it in a respectful setting that would call for ppl to wear that (ex: new year festival in japan) vs wearing it to a high end tradition japanese wedding which would likely not be appropriate since yukata are more casual kimonos while a wedding kimono is higher in standard. another example of appropriation would be wearing it wrong and just as a "i wanna wear this at the beach cuz i like the aesthetic" and completely trying to take it from an oppressed culture or even profit from it.
