Wind noise over the canopy does vary depending on speed for sure. If you fly often IRL in the same aircraft, you gain an awareness of the airspeed sweet spots based solely on the noise queues you hear. Some pilots only fly the numbers (what they read from the avionics)(which messes me up). I fly using a combination of numbers and sound queues. Note that this also depends on the headsets you use (e.g., noise-cancelling, full-helmet, earbuds only, etc.). As for using the technique in DCS? I don't think the sound nuances are there. I do like the sounds made while pulling-Gs. I definitely would have to adjust the volume as I think it is louder than it needs to be.

As far as sound is concerned the only onea i likes were the squeal of the wheel brakes .jester coughing caught me offguard to i took the headset off and thought someone else was in the house

Man, couldn't watch more than 5 minutes of this. Basically it sounds like the mods is just blasting sound way louder than you should hear it with an helmet on. Disappointing.
