The Ninebot Max is fun and probably the most modifiable scooter. They are built like tanks, and are good just as a primary scooter or as a second/backup scooter for when you get a dual motor scooter someday. If you own a Max or plan on buying one the following information is meant to point you in the right direction as you embark on your scooter journey if you plan on modding. It’s important to know who you are doing business with in the Ninebot Max “Mods” marketplace. We all work too hard for our money just to get ripped off by dishonest sellers. Scooters are a fun hobby so let’s not reward dishonest sellers who prey on enthusiastic new scooter owners. Do your research and only buy from credible retailers when it comes to critical components. Cheap accessories, however, such as lights, stickers, replacement tires, etc can be had for good prices from different retail sites. Below is my experience and I hope it helps in you search for an honest reputable seller when it comes to modifying your Ninebot Max. I bought my Max in Feb 2019, rode it for a while and was disappointed like many others about its poor performance in its stock form. I then hastily searched for mods and found a recommendation on an ESG video. They endorsed Carter Nordium of Nordbot Store which is now called Nordbot Shop. I ordered a front suspension and 36v range extender from him. At the time I didn’t know what I was getting into and he seemed legit at the time. His products were represented as high quality and unique to his company, boasting of using Sanyo or LG cells for his batteries. When I got the orders I quickly realized what had happened. It appeared as if both were drop shipped directly from China. I could tell this by the return address and by the very “Chinese-ey” packaging, lol. In his product description he wrote that it takes up to a month to receive batteries because it takes a while to make them. It was clear that it took that long probably because it takes 30+ days to ship something from China, not because it takes that long to make it. Anyway I started to search Alliexpress and found they sell what looked and read like the exact same products that I ordered from Nordbot for only 1/4 the price. When I asked about this on Nordbot’s fb page I was immediately blocked, lol. I figured him out and he did not want prospective customers to know as that could be bad for business. I since then discovered the only true Ninebot mods sellers/manufacturers, mymaxmods.com and Sharkset. If you are in the USA I know you have to order Sharkset products through mymaxmods (an authorized dealer). So I bought the whole “shebang” from mymaxmods and Sharkset which allowed me a 48v upgrade, better motor (fatmax), Sharkset suspension, new controller and a handlebar lift kit. You should get what you pay for and with mymaxmods and Sharkset you get just that as well as great customer support. I hope my experience saves the rest of you money, and also, be careful about believing endorsements from ESG as they are most likely paid endorsements. We all know how credible “paid” endorsements can be. It’s a fun hobby not just a “budget” so you will spend more money than is sometimes practical, but that’s how it goes with hobbies. Good luck guys/gals, be safe and watch out for predators trying to steal your hard earned money.
Hey there Mr. Aus Flight Simmer> I'll post it in the descriptions. It is an awesome mic... I got mine from Camera House, will have the link in the description. Thanks for watching brother!

Hey Boom Boom. I don't disagree with you at all. This is just more for a simple quick option will out and about. Not to leave your scooter for long periods of time. I use it more as a deterrent than long term lock up. Thanks heaps for stopping by.
OK, but this wire and the padlock are probably the cheapest you can buy. This type of padlocks can be opened with a Fanta cane and the wire you can cut with a pair of good pliers. So, don't be cheap - buy yourself a good lock for your ride. ;) Everything else is fine, I especially like the handlebar bag. :) Cheers!

Hey there Uighur, I have had my Ninebot Max for almost a year, and love it! The suspension “issue” actually hasn’t been an issue for me personally. I can’t compare it to anything else, however I love it! I honestly believe you would too... Thanks for watching!
Hey there Duece. Thanks so much for the sub and watching and also for your kind words. I do need to get more content out there to help the sub growth. That is coming though. I have been working on a couple of things.
Hi there Chris, I have a heap of nicks on it from this. I guess it is just part of getting out there and making the most of it... Cosmetically it isn't the best, but structurally it should be fine.
After my ES2 was stolen I bought E45. On my ES2 there were 3 speed modes with speed limits like 7Mph, 12Mph and 15Mph and I liked these values. On the new E45 limits are 5Mph, 15Mph and 18Mph. The first one is too low, the second one is too high. I do not like these kind of settings. Is there any way to customize those values? I was not able to find anything via menus or on internet.
Would have to agree that they are terrible, even trying to thread them through is a pain. I have never tried to cut through one. I mainly use this as a deterrent to theft so I can leave it for a few minutes go into a shop, cafe or quick run down to the beach. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed this video.
Hey there. Thanks for reaching out. I believe they are currently illegal to ride on public roads and footpaths in NSW. U should put together a petition to the government. www.nsw.gov.au/topics/vehicle-registration/unregistered-vehicles/rules/prohibited
Like the video but the Segway can do 30Kmh here in the states and be hacked to 40Kmh and that brings a lot of pain especially if the young man wearing sandals takes a spill. So many hospitals visits due to poor protection on scooters have been recorded including lacerations, concussions and more so I hope everyone thinks about using more than just a helmet. Mandatory Minimum equipment should include helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, gloves and closed shoes. These scooters do not require medical insurance so please take heed.
Hey PETA. Thanks for watching. That's awesome, I'll have to check that one out for sure. That would be especially great for night riding. Thanks again.
@@TheWannabeGeek No problem, I'm a little late in finding your channel - but I got the new Max30 and I'm loving it. Scooter handlebar is very far from the stem joint (which is just a few inches above the deck). Hi!
I want to ask about the Wildman bag. It is the same for the m365. Or a different model?
Thank You.
Certainly is.
Nice videos around beautiful Bundaberg. Will see you when I get my Ninebot. ;-)
Haha. Sounds like a plan. Make sure you reach out and we will go for a ride. 🤙🏼😊

Hi there Ben. Tha ks for watching. I do use the app sometimes to lock the scooter.
But combination locks r so easy to get into
Hey Boom Boom.
So, don't be cheap - buy yourself a good lock for your ride. ;)
Everything else is fine, I especially like the handlebar bag. :)

Not sure. I would have to see the bag you’re talking about sorry.
This is my opinion but what should have been on the list is a suspension system that can be bought on amazon for 110 dollars
Love this Kucumber Kid. Great idea.
I personally haven't had an issue with the suspension or lack there of. However, there have been many people who feel like it could do with more suspension.

On the new E45 limits are 5Mph, 15Mph and 18Mph. hi is that scooter iligal in sydney dose the police stop you from driving it plz get back do u need license for it
Kmart has a helmet with a led light on the back that is brilliant for safety, it turns on, flashes and off. Is rechargeable
