  • This lab report describes three tasks that demonstrate the use of gas laws in everyday situations. The jet-propelled balloon is used in Activity A to demonstrate the principle of action and reaction in Newton's Third Law of Motion, as well as the compressibility of gases. In Activity B, a balloon is inflated in a bottle with hot and cold water to demonstrate the influence of temperature on gas pressure. The rising water in a glass, when it is pulled up in Activity C, demonstrates the notion of Pascal's law. The activities'
outcomes are addressed in respect to the gas laws, and the importance of the findings is assessed. The experiments show that gas laws are present in everyday situations and understanding them can help us make sense of our physical surroundings.
