The "hidden holdowns" and the discussion on the length of Titen screws reminds me of a project where they found the contractor was just dropping short bolts to nowhere in holdowns of an engineered house. That and the mold from the fake water management and fake ventilation, meant the three story structure was torn down and rebuilt in a lawsuit.

If only Sashco didn’t take 2 years to cure I’d use it more, they really need to get it down to a day or rapid set, they literally take 2-3 weeks to cure and I’ve seen it where big stretch doesn’t cure after a month in a 1/4 bead

Form-a-drain, isn't this stuff 30+ years old?...This is totally not new tech, suprised to see them kind of going 'whoa, form-a-drain..what is this?' Typically it's used for footers and stays in place for your 'french drain' or 'drain tile', works good. Still needs geo-fabric to keep silt/sand/mud out of it though. The cross pipe ties basement/stem wall inside/outside together to pump out from same sump pump

I just cant get on board with the foam shower products. I know they have famous name brands and people rave. However, there are just as many videos of wrongly installed and wet and soft and failed spots. Dont do it.

Well, everything sucks if you install it wrong.

Lol so true. This content is null and void. Nothing beats the "foam" products. Period.

      What if…
An installer of the foam-board for a shower simply topped over a “form-a-drain that “drained” to the outside wall of the house?.
      Would that work??.

Those failure videos are a fraction of the failure videos of traditional shower installs.
