Okay: Sims 3 open world and customization, Sims 2's little details (opening cupboards, cardoors, hair physics, etc) and storyline and Sims 4 graphics and CAS
I honestly think teens are the worst life state in Sims 4. I miss when they could go to prom, boarding school, private school, pull pranks, after school activities, have sleepovers.
Also could throw parties when parents were away on vacation. Loved doing that and got the cops called more than once with hefty punishment from the adults! Loved it.
Honestly to me it’s kids. There are many mods that offer stuff like what you said for teens but for kids it’s nearly impossible, it’s like they have no personality
I made a boarding school for my Sims, I made a huge school with teachers, and I taught my teenage sims skills they'd need for their career so they leveled up faster and I could focus on other things
Yep I feel like they're young adults with the exception that they have to go to school. That makes me really sad, teens were my fav age in The Sims 2 with their peculiar things 😭
I remember when my sim got arrested and the police confiscated his high school diploma so “the other inmates wouldn’t get jealous.” I nearly died laughing. 😂
I totally forgot about police in the sims 3. I know this is strange to say but one of the worst things about ts4 is its lack of crime lmao. Like no robbers. ts3 came out when I was like 10 and every time I got robbed I was TERRIFIED and called the police immediately. But those random little things that made the sims 1/2/3 so good are missing in ts4.
@@avah3643 that's not strange at all, it adds SO much to the game. they were so interactive - when your teen sims were out past curfew (11) and the police tracked them down in the police car and took them home with a warning! I used to love doing that and try making my sims outrun the police

yes!!!! literally all it would need is the graphics improvement, better loading times, and maybe like a small addition of base build/buy, and they could release it as a bundle of everything like they've done for the sims 2!!
@@username8448 That's actually not true, there are plenty of open-world games that run perfectly with high-end graphics settings (even Maxis games like Spore) - the reason why Sims 3 runs so terribly on most computers is that the code is really heavy as well as uncompressed, and _that's_ what the computer can't handle. If they streamlined it the game would run amazingly.
When playing sims 3 I don’t even know how long ago, I would have generation after generation in one family and the whole world would end up a whole family near the end. In sims 4, I start with one person. Get bored after two kids are made and make a new family.
Megan Stanley ugghh same!! I used to go on for generations until the game just crashed cuz my pc was old hahah. I even struggeled finding partners for a new generation, because the whole world was from my family. I tried to do that in sims4 but it’s just so boring. I just end up building houses

Trip tho that is true. Sims 3 didn’t need mods. I have found that the only way that sims 4 got more interesting was because of mods. Which shouldn’t be necessary.
I remember having my parent sims teach my teens how to drive so that when prom came around they could drive themselves. I also remember the first time my teens got prom king/ queen and I felt so proud
Also reminds me of getting into private school in Sims 2. I played it as an angry teen who was tired of being screwed over by public school so since then and to this day, I always make sure all my simself's children go to the private school

reinstalled the sims 3 the other day and I actually miss all the depth of packs like generations and how rich they made gameplay. Feel like the sim gurus have got lazy with the sims 4 and know that we will buy the packs anyway because there’s nothing else to play apart from older games - so whatever happens EA make money. With games like Paralives coming out I’m really excited to (hopefully) experience a more familial style of gameplay.
steamcommunity.com/games/1118520/announcements/detail/1715239279381504604 i just looked into the game to see if it was coming along , i just wanted to share because some people were saying it could never be released but it looks like their definitely working on it :)))
Karlie Daily honestly I can’t wait for something new. As much as I love the sims (been playing it for 7 years and it’s still my most played game) I feel like parts of the sims 4 have just become stale and gameplay is boring. The thought of Paralives being made gives me some hope for something new :)))
Nicole Gsell She got really sick (Mental health) and things like that, she does have a video on it. She is alive and active on Twitter and I think Twitch too though!
Generations is my favorite expansion of all time. If you played families in the Sims 3 it was a must have! You could literally teach your teen to drive and it built your relationship.
The sims 2 was good for it's time as well, with the storyline and gameplay, so imagine the sims 2 with the quality of sims 3 expansion packs, and sims 4 graphics and build mode.
The Sims 2 was pretty cool for it's time, but I think the Sims 3 absolutely blew it out of the park for their time. I love how in depth the Sims 2 was especially regarding animations and being realistic, but I think Sims 3 still takes the cake.
@@diamonddog2638 I think both Sims 2 and Sims 3 are great depending on what you're looking for honestly, the Sims 3 seems like a game more for doing more family stuff, while the sims 2 would work better for those who want drama, or fast paced gameplay (or maybe thats just my adhd talking,) or just a game that wont set their computer on fire whenever they load it up, lol.
I actually love kids and toddlers in the Sims, they were my favorite thing in Sims 2, and seeing them so..washed down in Sims 4 is sad, I'm a family player but Sims 4 is only made for YA/Adult sims :/
Yeah, and maybe make it easier to "promote" grades? I get the snarkiest messages about a kids lackluster performance even though they meet the skills and do their homework. Like, I'm trying to keep the kid fed and sleeping what more do you want? 🤣
"Oh look at that, a little bit of lore before we've even entered the town.... THIS IS HOW WE USED TO LIVE!" My thoughts about TS3 vs TS4 summed up by the best sims streamer out there
I wish they’d remake sims 3 but with better graphics and better game running. Although I didn’t have that bad of problems with it besides loading screens.
4:12 signing autographs in the base game was actually a thing, until it was forgotten about and replaced by the sims 3 late night, i remember my sim signed autographs when i had the base game
Oleg Kushakov if you were a ‘rockstar’ top of the career track, you could hold autograph signing sessions and big crowds did swoon over your sim like this!
Da gek sho look at you people coming together to dive in perfect nostalgia and tell everyone that you were in fact there when it happened :’) I like you all so much!
In the sims 3 it was the little things that really made the game: kids getting on the bus for school, buying your teenager their first car and watching them drive it off to college, rags to riches with a horses barn or resort I could go on
Sims 3 Generations completely changed the way I played sims 3. It gave things to every age group AND gave such good interactions for families together. Parenthood is maybe 25% of what Generations was.
25 % is being very generous... Parenthood did introduce a new character value system and while I'm not mad at it, I often find it too much of a hassle Generations on the other hand seems admittedly more superficial, but it gives you a TON of everyday activities to spend time on with your sims - it enables you to actually play out a story and personalities rather than just grinding down on one action to gather those damn value-points Edit: reading this I realize it could come across as rather agressive - rest assured that wasn't my intention!
Changing Mind no you’re right. Parenthood is all a grind and it’s basically a numbers game with no real family fun. It’s funny how the Sims team or EA refuse to focus on kids and teens, but has also dumbed down the sims 4 like they’re trying to appeal to 10 year olds as their target audience. Everything that made the sims fun like rude humor, scary or exciting things is gone. Replaced with pointless parties and bars where no one can get drunk.
i started with sims 4 and am going back to sims 3 and i didn't wanna buy sims 3 generations cause parenthood sucked dick but now i really wanna get generations
@UTube Junkie It’s funny because the random advise pop-ups that I can’t opt out of are one of the things I don’t like in Parenthood, and my Sim autonomously grounding their kids all the time in the Generations was literally the only thing I hated about Generations. Although I do agree that it should be able to be done at every level, I actually feel like the punishment system is one of the few things they did right in Sims 4. Personally I want to be in control of my household sims at all times and I don’t want them doing things like grounding their kids or messing up their character values without my permission. Seriously you don’t know how many times my sim’s older brother autonomously decided to lecture his little sister/ground her (in an un-cancellable interaction, btw) her because she *barely* missed the school bus and got on her bike, thus making her even more late to school. And then she’s be stuck in the sneaking animation for the rest of her life because I didn’t immediately cancel her after school activity that automatically queed up after school. 😂 But other than that, Generations was the best.
@depressed cockroach They're strippers not prostitutes, lol. But now I am wishing for an adult version of the Sims. I can imagine how crazy that would be!
Me too! I remember being on the Sims forums at the time and the general opinion was that Generations was lackluster and there was nothing noteworthy about it. Oh boy if only we knew we’d appreciate it hard 10 years later 😂
The traits, the COLOR WHEEL, create a style, open worlds, lore, indepth gameplay....those were the days. Honestly if the Sims team could make it so that at least the neighbourhoods were openworld I'd be happy.
Or at the very least if the little districts where. It’s annoying af needing loading screen just to go next door, but being able to run all along the street
I love that you can plan a party whenever you want, like at this and this hour will be bday party, not like in sims 4, just as you plan, it starts right away. Plus I love on sims 3 these tasks that you had to do, like cook and bring a meal, you can win if your meal was the best, clean hamster cage after school. These things made sims 3 more interesting
When I saw Kylo Ren without his mask for the first time, the first thing that came to mind was "This dude looks like Snape." and my mind was never changed
oh my gosh i loved this pack so much especially the bunk beds!! literally everytime i wanted to get a new pack for ts3 i would have to convince my mum this game wasn’t really for ‘teens’ like the rating says and that other eight year olds also played it lmaoooo she never let me get the pack with the mermaids 😤
Emotions are one of the only things I like about 4. I also want the variety of food (like the cool cakes) and the smart speaker! And some of the toddler/kid things like that coloring table, the clay, some of the toys...
Emotions could’ve been cool but they did like nothing with them and they’re moreso something you have to work around instead of a cool, fun gameplay feature.
10:45 remember when the devs said that making an animation for swings will be too much of a work? Well, here we had two kind of swings, slides, that house tree and just lots of other animation
Remember those are the same bitch-ass devs that made teens in TS4 the same height as adults just so they could reuse the adult animations instead of creating a separate set for teens...
@@KreeZafi yeah, they already made the job easier for themselves, yet every time there's talking about an object with new animation they act like they need the entire team to make it
Plumbella dumped that steering wheel quicker than she dumped that Jeremy Corbyn book from her RUclips background bookshelf after the 2019 election lmao. (Love you Jesse)
This was the best pack in sims 3 and you can't change my mind! I miss the teens sneaking out and getting caught by the cops and throwing parties when the parents leave 😣😩😫
why don’t the sims guru make a poll asking “would you like things for toddlers/kids, teens, young adults, or elders?” that way they can stop saying that people don’t want to play with kids
The choices are always things like "what would you rather have, a fire detector pack or a pack with new bars?" and then they say everyone asked for the crappy pack.
"I miss you" sent me back to being ten and obsessed with Hannah Montana and High School Musical. Wow. Sims 2 was my childhood but I loved the Sims 3. I still have it installed. It barely work on my computer but I love it so I'll suffer
Oh my god, just remembering Sam Sekemoto and his kid... I would always marry my female Sims to him, he's just such a sweet guy (who also conveniently lives like 2 houses away from your starting location). Sims 4 has incredible CAS and building mode, but boy am I going to go and reinstall Sims 3 after this video.
When Jesse said “This is how we used to live” I spiritually traveled to the body of a 12 year old girl living in an underground bunker being told about what the sky looks like by her grandmother who’s laying on her death bed with tears in her eyes while she imagines what life was like before the war.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one still preaching this!! I just bought parenthood and I’m like okay?? But I was expecting so much more based off of how much generations S L A P P E D
I genuinely could not play the Sims 3 without Generations so I was actually so bitter when I realised that the best contribution of Parenthood was that curfew board...
I miss the family dynamics SO MUCH! Those family videos were my favorite thing to make- I filmed so many memories for my sims like the toddler's first steps and would have them watch them as the kids grew up. And the sleepovers- so fun!
I definitely would like my sims to have kids more often if there were things to do with/for kids. I always get tired of families once I have them settle down and have kids with the way things are now.
you guys should puy expansion packs on this website called eneba they are really cheap and legit, they give you the code right away and you go right to origin put in the code and the game downloads
The best part about this game was that when your loved one died you can play the video tapes and recordings of when they were alive. Like I had one of my teenager kids die and the family was sad of course but I had the parents play the home video of when the kid was a folder and a kid it made them happy to go back to see that.
i literally JUST reinstalled Sims 3 bc I missed Generations, Supernatural and the professions from Ambitions😂😂 Whenever I play Sims 3 after Sims 4 it's like I'm finding a whole new world
The Sims 3 was definitely more of an (obvious, at least) cash grab with the store, but it at least delivered in the expansion packs. They produced so much content without limitation. It wasn't (at least obviously) restricted to, say, "there can only be one new unique item in a stuff pack" like The Sims 4 does.
She was talking so fast near the end I had to check that the playback speed was still normal lol but otherwise oml what is the sims 4 even playing all the stuff from sims 3 seems like an impossible dream and yet that game came first??? am fumin
I’ve been playing the sims 3 constantly since November and I haven’t looked back. I’ve been playing the sims for 17 years. 2 and 3 are my ish. I have a lot of packs and expansions TS4. But TS3 &TS2 are my childhood.
@@moonlitcourtney I don't know the facts but according to her Instagram (lifesimmeryt) she was having a lot of problems with depression etc and needed the time off, I think it's easier for her to stream rather than have a set schedule and people constantly being at her asking when she's uploading and all that.
Liv, you said this perfectly
*laughs in free download*
Im not intersted in ParaLives I will always support Sims
god, i loved lifesimmer when i was younger, she was part of the reason why i got so into the sims. im so glad you mentioned her
do we know where she is now? I know she stopped posting bc of mental health reasons but is she online anywhere?
@@nicolegsell4577 No not really :( seems like she just disappeared
She’s active on Twitter and sometimes she streams on twitch
Nicole Gsell She got really sick (Mental health) and things like that, she does have a video on it. She is alive and active on Twitter and I think Twitch too though!
She was my queen
I miss the sims 3 gameplay with my whole heart. It's not that the sims 4 could never, they just won't. Which is so much worse.
Generations is my favorite expansion of all time. If you played families in the Sims 3 it was a must have! You could literally teach your teen to drive and it built your relationship.
Ah yes I remember that ^_^ so much fun...ugh I almost wanna play again lol.
The sims 3 was the PEAK of sims. Nothing compares. The sims 4 graphics aren’t enough to make up for everything they robbed us of
And the graphics of sims 4 isn't even good by triple a standards
The sims 2 was good for it's time as well, with the storyline and gameplay, so imagine the sims 2 with the quality of sims 3 expansion packs, and sims 4 graphics and build mode.
The Sims 2 was pretty cool for it's time, but I think the Sims 3 absolutely blew it out of the park for their time. I love how in depth the Sims 2 was especially regarding animations and being realistic, but I think Sims 3 still takes the cake.
They robbed us of everything INCLUDING robbers 🤦
I just want someone to steal my stuff so I can beat them up and call the cops!!
Me, a simmer stuck on the Sims 3 who refuses to advance to the sims 4: *sipping tea with intense satisfaction*
Zethany LOL MEEEEEE
Same lol!!! #teamsims3
same i could not for the life of me get as into the sims 4 and i’m alright with it tbh.
Lmao I used to be like the then get famous drew me to the dark side
Seriously, TS3 just never gets old!! TS4 had no charm for me frankly
Never forget Quxxn, I grew up watching her and was heartbroken when she passed
ShookyShooky i love her still, i watch some of her lets plays sometimes
Omg yes! She was such a sweetheart, I was so sad to hear that she passed.
I loved her so much. I can’t believe how long it’s been.
Ikkk
i was obsessed w her seasons lp🥺
"People don't play with kids"
Well... If you gave me the things to actually play and create a proper child I'd be more inclined to play with them.
I’m guessing they’re basing that on sales figures.
Why the hell didn’t treehouses and strollers come with the kids and toddlers stuff packs?? I’m upset!
No point for strollers since we dont have open world
LL If that’s the case, then why do we have bikes? Our sims are capable of walking down the street...strollers could’ve easily came back.
4:12 signing autographs in the base game was actually a thing, until it was forgotten about and replaced by the sims 3 late night, i remember my sim signed autographs when i had the base game
same
I guess she meant that there was actually no crowd like this, it didn't feel as overwhelming
Oleg Kushakov if you were a ‘rockstar’ top of the career track, you could hold autograph signing sessions and big crowds did swoon over your sim like this!
yes i also remember it was possible
Da gek sho look at you people coming together to dive in perfect nostalgia and tell everyone that you were in fact there when it happened :’) I like you all so much!
In the sims 3 it was the little things that really made the game: kids getting on the bus for school, buying your teenager their first car and watching them drive it off to college, rags to riches with a horses barn or resort I could go on
I miss sims 3 so much especially the strollers and being able to going to a lot without a loading screen :( memories
Sims 3 Generations completely changed the way I played sims 3. It gave things to every age group AND gave such good interactions for families together. Parenthood is maybe 25% of what Generations was.
25 % is being very generous...
Parenthood did introduce a new character value system and while I'm not mad at it, I often find it too much of a hassle
Generations on the other hand seems admittedly more superficial, but it gives you a TON of everyday activities to spend time on with your sims - it enables you to actually play out a story and personalities rather than just grinding down on one action to gather those damn value-points
Edit: reading this I realize it could come across as rather agressive - rest assured that wasn't my intention!
TJ G I agree, the parenting skill becomes a chore and doesn’t have enough substance to it.
i started with sims 4 and am going back to sims 3 and i didn't wanna buy sims 3 generations cause parenthood sucked dick but now i really wanna get generations
But other than that, Generations was the best.
Please do one of these for Sims 3 Seasons, my heart is crying out for those park festivals.
personally I find them really annoying
I miss the festivals SO much. It makes it feel like the whole town is celebrating and not just your household.
I don't go very often but I do love the park festivals! I need to put my house right across from the park or something next game!
when you mentioned Lifesimmer’s let’s play I SCREAMED... let me move my bang so I can go rewatch
LifeSimmer's Generations let's play was iconic.
OHmygod ME
Dove Love period🤏🏽
I fucking LOVED her Generations series, she is what got me into sims!
bro that’s what got me into the sims years ago-
I didn’t realize how much I missed the sims 3 till now
Me too! It’s such a good game...!
*The fact she's a Lifesimmer fan is everything I didn't know I needed*
In Sims 3 Generation you get : Walking cane, children expansion, Imaginary friend (the best and cutest lifestate ever), *STRIPPER* and many more.
I MISS IT SO MUCH ugh
@depressed cockroach They're strippers not prostitutes, lol. But now I am wishing for an adult version of the Sims. I can imagine how crazy that would be!
@@TheRealityofFake just download the sex mod lol
RIP Christmas Tree glass container.
I remember so many people hating Generations. And then there was me... loving this expansion. I would only play sims who had a day care for months.
Me too! I remember being on the Sims forums at the time and the general opinion was that Generations was lackluster and there was nothing noteworthy about it. Oh boy if only we knew we’d appreciate it hard 10 years later 😂
Well, time to go on a Sims 3 binge for 2 weeks and then not touch it for another year.
You're not a true simmer if you don't do this. xD
I’ve never felt more connected to a comment than I have with this one 😭😂
I do that with minecraft 😂
These things made sims 3 more interesting
you can plan an event in the sims 4 actually, using the calender from seasons!
sims 3 is still superior though
“She a bit skinny but we fine” I don’t know why but that made me laugh for a solid 2 minutes
I want The Sims 3 Remastered instead of The Sims 5 😭😭😭
Agreed! Sims 3 open world and gameplay with Sims 4 building mechanics would be amazing

oh my gosh i loved this pack so much especially the bunk beds!! literally everytime i wanted to get a new pack for ts3 i would have to convince my mum this game wasn’t really for ‘teens’ like the rating says and that other eight year olds also played it lmaoooo she never let me get the pack with the mermaids 😤
Yes, yes, yes. We need more Sims 3 content, would love to see you dive into Midnight Hollow
"emotions were a cool idea, do we need em nah, we don't"
I felt that 👊😔
Emotions are one of the only things I like about 4. I also want the variety of food (like the cool cakes) and the smart speaker! And some of the toddler/kid things like that coloring table, the clay, some of the toys...
Emotions could’ve been cool but they did like nothing with them and they’re moreso something you have to work around instead of a cool, fun gameplay feature.
i think the mood meter is better than emotions, a low mood meter tells me much more than "very inspired" does
"I'm becoming very self-aware of the fact that I only appreciate men who look like Severus Snape" - ain't nothing wrong with that.
And then games like The Last Of Us 2 are coming out... the sims team really isn't passionate about it anymore.
@@KreeZafi yeah, they already made the job easier for themselves, yet every time there's talking about an object with new animation they act like they need the entire team to make it
plus bunkbeds in the same EP, which they were also not able to budget for in any sim 4 EP, GP or SP
@@YAUUN bunk beds would've been perfect to add in Tiny Living -_-
Plumbella dumped that steering wheel quicker than she dumped that Jeremy Corbyn book from her RUclips background bookshelf after the 2019 election lmao. (Love you Jesse)
I always die laughing from your little surpassing outbursts. My fave: “he boot too big for he gah damn feet”
Because they already know the answer and don't want to actually do it for some reason. Probably want to work on other projects.
We need to flesh out the baby lifestage more. The only thing we do with them is age them up.
Because it’s about money I mean it’s EA
The choices are always things like "what would you rather have, a fire detector pack or a pack with new bars?" and then they say everyone asked for the crappy pack.
Do they need a poll for this though? Lmao
Children and honestly Sims shoul get hobbies make a pack for hobbies like activities idk ballet football ice skating just something
Apparently the next pack is a hobby pack!
"I miss you" sent me back to being ten and obsessed with Hannah Montana and High School Musical. Wow. Sims 2 was my childhood but I loved the Sims 3. I still have it installed. It barely work on my computer but I love it so I'll suffer
Lifesimmer’s generations let’s play was the thing that got me invested in sims! I’m glad someone else knows the true masterpiece that it was
omg saame--
Oh my god, just remembering Sam Sekemoto and his kid... I would always marry my female Sims to him, he's just such a sweet guy (who also conveniently lives like 2 houses away from your starting location).
Sims 4 has incredible CAS and building mode, but boy am I going to go and reinstall Sims 3 after this video.
Lol I would marry him make kids with him and then send his kid to boarding school. While our kids stayed in the house
When Jesse said “This is how we used to live” I spiritually traveled to the body of a 12 year old girl living in an underground bunker being told about what the sky looks like by her grandmother who’s laying on her death bed with tears in her eyes while she imagines what life was like before the war.
Ok
Guess you spirited away
I’m so glad I’m not the only one still preaching this!! I just bought parenthood and I’m like okay?? But I was expecting so much more based off of how much generations S L A P P E D
Omg now I want to go back to my beloved Sims 3
I didn't even realize how much more awesome and immersive it was ;-;
I genuinely could not play the Sims 3 without Generations so I was actually so bitter when I realised that the best contribution of Parenthood was that curfew board...
Man I miss the Sims 3, it makes me sad to know we'll never have this kinda depth in the Sims 4, and probably the Sims 5 tbh
Don't be so sure :)
@@RedRoseSeptember22 maybe in the Sims 5 (although I'm not getting my hopes up) but it's not gunna happen in the Sims 4 at this point lol
I miss the family dynamics SO MUCH! Those family videos were my favorite thing to make- I filmed so many memories for my sims like the toddler's first steps and would have them watch them as the kids grew up. And the sleepovers- so fun!
I literally die every time she does that Nicki Minaj scene in all her videos 😂💀
Omg this expansion is the holy grail of every expansion pack ever made
"She a bit skinny, but we fine " hahahha
I definitely would like my sims to have kids more often if there were things to do with/for kids. I always get tired of families once I have them settle down and have kids with the way things are now.
i cant imagine the sims 4 ever having a pack like this. its sad
I'd literally pay $50 on Sims 4 expansions if they were on par with sims 3 expansions
Don't we currently pay about that much anyway lol. They are like 40ish dolars plus tax so it's almost 50 anyway.

@Caitlin DAVIS SAME🤣🤣
I'd be more than just on board with a Sims 3 LP - I'm so over Sims 4 despite the nicer graphics...
The best part about this game was that when your loved one died you can play the video tapes and recordings of when they were alive. Like I had one of my teenager kids die and the family was sad of course but I had the parents play the home video of when the kid was a folder and a kid it made them happy to go back to see that.
i literally JUST reinstalled Sims 3 bc I missed Generations, Supernatural and the professions from Ambitions😂😂 Whenever I play Sims 3 after Sims 4 it's like I'm finding a whole new world
I remember coming home from middle school and spending literal hours watching ads for like 5 simpoints an ad to use in the sims 3 store lol
hearing the sims 3 described like an old relic lost to time makes me feel so ancient
And you can get so much stuff for 3 for free on the sims resource!
She was talking so fast near the end I had to check that the playback speed was still normal lol
but otherwise oml what is the sims 4 even playing all the stuff from sims 3 seems like an impossible dream and yet that game came first??? am fumin
god sims 3 generations was my favorite pack. still is tbh
I’ve been playing the sims 3 constantly since November and I haven’t looked back. I’ve been playing the sims for 17 years. 2 and 3 are my ish. I have a lot of packs and expansions TS4. But TS3 &TS2 are my childhood.
