Great informative video. Are you aware if this router can split out 2.4 ghz and 5ghz as my isp is sending me one of these routers and my thermostat hub can not connect to 5ghz?
It's weird where this advice comes from. Old or low cost devices can do 2.4GHz, fine, that should mean they just can see the routers 2.4GHz signal and not the 5GHz. It connects to 2.4 and that's it. Even if they are the same name there's no reason why splitting the names would do anything differently. The advice should be "make sure you have a 2.4GHz network", rather than "name them different names".
Thanks for this and the previous vid, you've done a really good job and even included the UI 😊 which many people avoid. You have saved me some cash I was going to get one of these as something cheap to chuck on my mesh but it has no wpa3 only option and I'm not sure if that will migrate from the parent. Anyway I really appreciate the time you have taken to make these videos and i will play this one in the presence of my wife and point at things to hopefully justify purchasing another ax75 😉
