References to original members of the Addams family are made. Of course in the series we see the return of a lot of fan favourite characters from the family, Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Thing and Lurch, but there are also references to family members that don’t make an appearance: Wednesdays dorm hall is called ‘Ophelia’ which is the name of Morticia's sister; Grandmama Addams is referenced in passing in a conversation and Cousin Itt can be seen in the basement of the Nightshades on a painted portrait.
