    I picked this up from a van life or tiny house video, instead of using throw pillows, use a pillow cover and stuff it with extra blankets, out of season coats, towels etc. I plan to try this in my house as soon as I find covers I like. We have an excessive amount of couch blankets.

    I've been watching 932 different RUclips videos just getting ideas for storage and organizing. I'm #ADHD so EVERYTHING in my life has to be organized or my anxiety will go nuts! Anyhoozie, as I have been cruising through RUclips getting different ideas, I find myself TOTALLY ON ACCIDENT clicking on YOUR videos. The more I watch, the more I find myself looking for ideas from YOUR channel because you seem to show "budget friendly" tips as opposed to the people who obviously must have bottomless bank accounts. We aren't full time or really even "part time".... We are more like "whenever we wanna get away for a few days" people. But either way, ya wanna be comfortable and organized! OK I'll shuddup now but I just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job by sounding like "real life" as opposed to infomercials for companies that just want people to advertise for them. Hope you have a super sparkly day sweetie! XO from TEXAS! 🤠 👑

    Not an RVer, but I do Solo tent camp out of my Kia SOUL (space definitely at a premium). I recently purchased one of those 3 drawer dressers by Rubbermaid for my dishes,cookware,coffee pot & mugs. I use the bottom drawer for some miscellaneous items like my cutting board,collapsible sink,matches,table cloth w/anchors,pot holder,dish towel,dish soap and a child's fishing box for eating utensils,cutlery,s/p and a few frequently used seasoning packets (sold individually in ziploc packets). I also have the smaller vertical Tupperware storage unit w/3drawers for my lights,lantern,charging cords,first aid & fishing supplies,green propane cylinder(s),tarps,rope,extra pegs,hand vacuum,mallet,air pump,etc.
    I use the back floor space for my tent,screen room,chairs,sleeping bag,airmattress,pillow,camp shovel. Into my backpack, I roll and pack my clothes,towel/Washcloth as sets,my Kindle, and a pencil pouch for toiletries,i also tuck in a small wallet with my ID,Fishing License, Hank's Certificate of Health w/Proof of RabiesVax,and some cash for incidentals. I have my FULLY charged Yetti Battery Pack and stocked Cooler in the front passenger seat/floor. And Hank's bed in the backseat ready to roll.

    I agree that going vertical is necessary in tiny living. Command hooks are definitely your friend when you have things that can hang like Jammie’s, hats, pants that you might wear another day, drying bath towels, etc. I keep a huge supply of various types and sizes of command hocks. You can never y have too many. It even makes it easy to hang Christmas lights up in your rig.

    I love your videos, i use the “hang over the door” shoe holders. I have 2 on the bathroom door, one for toiletries and the one on the outside holds kitchen items, like spices, utensils etc. I live alone in my travel trailer so i did not need the full booth in the kitchen area. That being said, i removed the booth closest to the door as well as the table top that comes in the RVs.. Added a 24” round table and a couple book cases and tripled my storage. I have not included pictures because i am not sure if thats allowed.

      I've done this for years with my sweat pants, capri pants, etc too. Anything large that doesn't need to be wrinkle free works great rolled. When I travel with a suitcase, no RV, I roll each set of clothes together and band it. So, Capri pant, tank, shirt, bra, panties all rolled and rubber band around it so that I just grab a roll per day, works wonderful for a week at Bible camp!

    Hello, I enjoy watching your videos. The one concern I have and interested in is if you have ever weighed your rig when it is full, including everyone that would be in it during travel. I weighed mine and found I was over the weight limit for my rig and the tires.

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  2 года назад +3

      Yes, we have weighed it on a cat scale a couple of times. We’ve usually had 500 lbs or so that we are under the weight limit. Our rig being an older diesel pusher can carry quite a bit and we’ve been pleasantly surprised that we’ve not hit the weight limit - even when everything we own is in the RV.

    I use an under shelf basket to put our paper plates in. It's great for easy access, keeps them off the counter and out of the cupboard. Those can also be used for your tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. I have also used magazine holder horizontally up under the cupboard for the same thing. The under shelf basket does, however, have a plastic coating that decreases risk of sliding during travel. I took the cabinet slide part off and attached them with either screws or electrical u-clamps (there's a technical name for them that I can't think of lol) up under the cupboard.

    @20:46--Usually, "fire-proof" means it will keep the internal temperature below 400° F for a finite amount of time so that protected PAPER will not burn. Most hard drives can OPERATE only up to 120°-140° F (50°-60° C). They can EXIST without running at slightly higher temperatures. But the bad news is 400° F (204°) is too high for hard drives unless you are worried about the metal of your hard drives melting. @@GratefulGlamper Suggestions for extending your in camp days as opposed to travel days, I know there’s things that I can do like hiking, but just wondering if you had any ideas of hobbies or crafts to do without having huge collections, and this would keep me from moving on every day to possibly cutting it down to one or two days a week thus burning less fuel. Thank you for your reply.

    It should be mentioned that every RV has weight restrictions for safety reasons. Empty space means more stuff & more weight. Have you had your RV weighed ?? Most people don't & are surprised how overweight they are !!

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  3 года назад +1

      Very true. We’ve weighed ours at the cat scale many times and we’re always under. Ours is a 2004 tho and built to carry several tons. Not all TT or 5er’s are tho.

      I always make sure to prep the area with an alcohol wipe and press hard when applying. And then let cure for 5-10 mins before hanging anything. Nano tape works great too!

    Your using every space... but have you weighed your rv ??? That is important because that is engine pulling it....and now expensive gas .
    I would weigh ur rv.
    Also use large zip locks for board games ...lighter. keep rules and cut out name of game . you can have more board games.

    • @GratefulGlamper
      @GratefulGlamper  2 года назад

      We’ve done this very thing with the board games using zipper bags from Amazon. We
      also weigh our RV from time to time on the cat scales. With an older diesel pusher like we have we have a ton of weight capacity and the closest we’ve come was being 500 lbs under (meaning we could have still added another 500 pounds). Thanks for watching

    Those of us that are veterans know how to fit our lives in a footlocker - basically you have to identify "needs" & "wants" to determine what you carry in the RV. When we see something we like we ask which it is, & how would we benefit to decide if we purchase. The other thing is to ELIMINATE duplications!
