Welllll technically 1 of 3 holy mountains but who's checking? Mt Haku was just as beautiful as I'd heard it would be. Snow, mist, sunrise and low hanging clouds. What more could I ask for?
Also quite a successful first trip in my new Jeep :)
My route:
Bettoudeai information center - hike to Hakusan Murodo Visitors Centre and Lodge (stay overnight) - hike to gozengamine for sunrise - hike around the crater - Hakusan Murodo Visitor Centre and Lodge for breakfast - return down same route to parking lot

This is so beautiful I actually cried when you finally reach the top and see the sunrise :")
🥰 It was a stunning sunrise!
Beautiful & relaxing as always Hannah! Thank you for taking us to great place like this. Knowing that you have to setup your camera, do a walking montage, go back to your camera to pick it up, makes me think how hard this walk for you compare to other hikers 👍👍👍 But that sunrise though... Amazing!
You're such an inspiration Hannah - this was beautiful in every sense of the word. You accompany your videos with the best soundtracks too - really adding to the drama of your experience. I appreciate all the effort you go through to get those shots. All I can thank you with is "Wow!'
I’m just glad to see you happy Hannah banana. Your work is stunning as always.
You are such an artist. Thank you for sharing us your marvellous journeys. That's exactly what Internet should be used for.
日本人でも、なかなか行く事のできない場所を紹介してくれてありがとう。
You must promise to never stop making videos like this, Hannah. They take my breath away. Your videos are the ultimate escapism. 10/10 - I cant wait for your next video! ❤️
This looks like such an amazing hike, definitely the next goal for me!
You’d love it! The views were, I’m sorry to say, so much better than on Fuji haha
these videos are therapy for the soul
Thank you for creating this video, Hannah. I'm looking at life beautifully again.
I Love your Hiking videos..!! It was too beautiful..!! Otsukare sama for climbing back and forth so many times. I'm glad you didn't slip..!😊😊
Yay! A HannaHike™ video. It's been a while, but so epically cinematic it was worth the wait. Thanks Hanna
the views are breathtaking! Hakusan added to the list ✅
Very beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful video. Your first adventure in your Jeep! More of the cuteness overload of a puppy too please. Who could resist him!
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for taking me along. ❤️
That was astonishingly beautiful. How we never get tired of looking at sunrises, sunsets and the stars 🧡
Holy damn this is one gorgeous hike. That sunrise is just a chef's kiss.
Watched this at sunrise with a morning coffee in hand, honestly felt like I had an out of body experience or something. Well done, beautiful.
This is where you excel. Simple and exquisite beauty. Looking forward to this hiking series.
That was spectacular Hannah, albeit a tad difficult and risky on that ice. The sunrise was special and I felt the emotion of being there in the moment. Great job 👏
Stay healty and be safe!!!
This was therapeutic. Beautiful cinematography. Loving this!
Beautiful opening shot
Beautiful mountain, beautiful adventure, beautiful you. It's so great to see you hiking again. Stay happy.
First thought well this is nice and calm. Amazing views. The closeness of the shots and strong sounds of nature made you feel like you're in nature. Rare for me to get that from a video. Puts your mind at ease. The fly highlighted all of it. Sunrise was blazing. Such a nice video.
Beautiful views, beautiful scenery, beautifully filmed. This is so lovely with gentle music, some natural sounds and just a few spoken words, just perfect Hannah.
You are the most underrated cinematographer, Hannah. Thank you so much for this beautiful video of Mt Hakusan. I know it must of been a lot of effort to make this!
Your hiking videos are the best ❤ so therapeutic, feels like i'm healed. Thank you.
Beautiful photography, and kudos for all the extra hard work to set up the camera, film the hike and then hike back and get the camera, then it hike again to carry on!
Wow Hannah, that was just amazing.
Such a nice, relaxing video. Beautiful too. Always a treat!
ICE?!! Looked like a hard hike Hannah! So excited when you reached to too well done! You’re amazing :)! Loved the calm start of the video too it helps make the story especially when you got half way and you saw the hustle and bustle (is that the word 😅) of the crowds. Loved this one Hannah! Excited to see more :)
Wow those views are breath taking, well done Hannah!!
This was soo beautiful! I'm going to travel around Japan for 5 weeks very soon and this made me even more excited to hike a lot!!
Finally you hiked Mt Hakusan! The one mountain I have actually climbed. I climbed it about 1.5 times. First time was a shit show, with a late start, rain, me turning around halfway up because I was sick, and then all of us getting stuck in the bus waiting for the last hikers who got stuck up on the mountain. The second time I hiked up with a lady from my international club (I lived in Tsubata near Kanazawa). We made it to the hut, but then it started raining. We were only planning to do a day trip, so we didn't go to the summit (because rain). The hike is really hard! Basically like stairs all the way to the top. I had bad shoes on the second time and they rubbed my achilles raw by the time we got down to the bottom. I really recommend sleeping overnight rather than a day trip. But I still have a picture of myself looking utterly exhausted in front of that field at the top with the path. It was hard, but so beautiful!
Oh noooo it sounds like you had a pretty rough time but I can totally understand that haha. It’s such a tough climb even in good weather!
Been here 27 years and of course share your passion, even now I'm 49. Your videos remind me of why I do what I do, but I could never record my experiences like you do.
By the way, that dog loves and trusts you.
It is AMAZING. Love it so much. For sure it is really tough I guess. I very appreciate the BGM, scenery, etc.. and Also I like see the contrasting Japanese and Hannah wear very differently. Tell us more about your climbing gears and cameras or how you organise your stuffs inside Jeep. Absolutely looking forward another video.
I would love to see you list out all the hikes you have down from easiest to hardest! Some of these I hope to do in the future.
Ooooh great idea for a future video!
Beautiful area. I can't believe you got up there in one day.
Love all your quality vids. The tremendous effort to backtrack and pick up your equipment to give us viewers different perspectives is just praise worthy. Keep it up!
Such a beautiful area! Thank you for sharing
I love Thrupence... What an absolutely beautiful hike, and a beautiful video as always. Can't wait for more!
Thrupence had the perfect vibes for this video!
Aaaaah! I'm SO HAPPY to watch this video! Brings back so many amazing memories! And I just realized that your Jeep is the same model of the Overland Yukon Jeep that we recently lived out of in Canada's north! I definitely found Hakusan to be the most difficult (of Japan's Three Holy Mountains) in terms of physical exertion, for all the stairs. So glad you got to see the sunrise, too! We stayed overnight at the Murodo, but it was too foggy to fully experience the sun - we had to do our "BANZAI" with the sun poking through the shreds of cloud. Beautiful shots - thank you for capturing Hakusan's incredible scenery and sharing it with your audience!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful movie with us. I would love to do something like that. Whimpi,, Indonesia....
I cry literally every time I watch your videos lol. You do such an amazing job with your content! Cinematic masterpiece ❤
Love your channel 😍
Lovely Video Hannah! Your cinematography is just next level these days. Well done.
This is stunning work. I am so excited for you, doing this full time now 😭 I cannot wait to see what you come up with 😍
that sunrise was shot so beautiful. gave me all the feels.
once again it was great to see you/an aussie struggle in the snow.🤣
Hahah it’ll always be fun and unusual for me!
That was beautiful
Congrats on summiting Mt Hakusan. Wow - the amount of work you put in to reposition the camera at different points. 👏
Since you're planning to do more hiking, probably should consider trekking poles and having micro spikes for extended snow patches just for safety. For sleeping, another option is to have just a sleeping bag liner.
Liked your recap on this hike.
This is a very mysterious and beautiful image. I was impressed. Thank you thank you.
Such beautiful scenery on your hike wonderful Hannah!!! 💖Great video!!!!
Love aaaaall your solo videos, thx for showing us Japan this way. 👌❣️👏
So very, very beautiful Hannah. I can see all you growth a development as a You Tuber in this video. It is a real privilege to be part of your life in this way.
This is good old school Hannah content
Amazing video! Definitely inspired by your trips. Waiting for our backpacks to arrive so we can get out there. Would love to do a hike like this one day
Fantastic!! You should get a website going as well with details of these hikes for those of us who'd like to try too!! :)
Your videos are ridiculously sublime. Beautifully done.
Kudos for all the back and forward for all those hiking shots of yourself.
Loved it. 😍
these are my favorite type of videos! wish more ppl watched these 😊
thank you for this video!, you always do THAT!. GO GIRL!
Heck of a hike, Hannah! So beautiful!
That's a wonderful hiking adventure you had out there. Incredibly beautiful scenery, great filming, and editing too. Just the perfect mix for a fantastic time outdoors!
Some of your best work right here. The drone video is looking CLEAN. The calm cinematic style of your hike vids is a favorite of mine. And were those Family Mart socks I saw you rockin'? Noice. Looking forward to more beautiful hikes. Thank you!
Hahaha thank you so much! Those drone shots were some of my favourites (as were the socks haha)
You've reminded me of my attempt on Mt Fuji just prior to the pandemic. After staying in a hut at the 8th station I was forced to turn back because of high winds and rain. On the way down I got soaked through and lost some electronics to the moisture! I hope I'll get your beautiful weather next time I try. Thanks so much for the video.
Your video are so chill, it makes me forget all the problem there are, thanks you !
Beautiful images in a fantastic place! I made the mistake of going up in early June without snow equipment, the snow wall was gigantic. I learned my lesson !! 😂
Oh no! There must’ve been so much snow still!
Your solo trips really show me that I am capable to travel alone and it is definitely possible to fully enjoy life by yourself at times :)
- sending much thanks from Aus
This is epic!
What a epic scenery, filmed gorgeously.😍🥾🥾
Great Clip and awesome editing!
You inspire me to take on more challenging hikes in my own country 🇨🇦
Lovely video Hannah, loved the drone footage.
We need more Andy! What a star!
Your hiking videos are back! Nice work :)
You still got it Hannah! Have not missed a beat, only even cooler with your Jeep! Great work!
Thanks Charles!
Looks awesome on an oled tv 👍 thanks for filming those views
Hell yeah, loved it, got super thrilled when the Rubicon showed up.
Really nice drone flights. Beautifully composed.
This was such an amazing video, relaxing, captivating and so satisfying to see all those beautiful scenarios in nature 😊 I also cried when you reached the top because then I remembered I have food in oven 😂
So beautiful!! Also, I'm totally not into cars, but love love love your Jeep!
Great video Hannah! Love your videos! Truly amazing and inspiring always
Thank you! Inspirational as always!! Would love to find similar landscapes closer to Tokyo where I can bring my border collie with me!
commenting because this was breath taking and should have a million views! Well done Hannah. I hope to visit this😀 place one day
Always beautifully done videos, thank you! :)
❤Your channel is literally my comfort place. You make me so happy. Love you❤😁❤
Japan is such a beautiful country!
Thumbnail is fire, inspiring
I'm very impressed at how beautiful the shots are, even more so when I consider how often you had to walk a distance back and forth to go set up the camera, record, then go get the camera again... Must have made the hike a LOT longer than normal.
I like the way you put snow on your skin, I saw Aussie in it, Hannah. 😊
another amazing hiking video! I feel so fortunate to be able to watch your videos :)
I discovered your channel before I traveled to Japan a few years ago now, I'm still subscribed and saw your video in my feed. I see you have taken a new approach on your videos, It has a Kraig Adams feel about it, very enjoyable and calming to watch, great cinematic shots, I'm glad you are still growing and living your passion creating content.
Cheers
Definitely putting Hakusan on my bucket list of mountains to climb in Japan (also Shirouma San). Can't wait to get back!🔜
What beautiful scenery!
Amazing video, as always! I watched your Mt. Shirouma video a while back and will be climbing it next week! Super stoked! Honestly, a little scared because I'm tiny and saw that there are a couple of parts with big boulders. But still, super excited! Hahaha Also, in love with your family mart socks!
Oh you’re gonna love it! I hope you have nice weather for it 😄
@@CurrentlyHannah Thank you so much! I highly recommend Tsubakurodake in the Northern Alps! Would love for you to see that mountain and the mountain lodge up there has cheesecake! Hahaha
@@whatchuHANAdo Oh damn a lodge with cheesecake?! Sounds pretty sophisticated for a mountain hut hahah. I'm intrigued!
It's a Wonderfull place 😊✌
Wow It’s so amazing!
The way you capture the scenery, the storytelling of your videos, this is what I'm looking for travel vlogs! And, this is the type of content I also wanted to create in the future. Hopefully, I can fulfill my dreams living and traveling in Japan soon. I subscribe to your channel looking forward to more of your vlogs! Gonna binge watch your travels now hehe lovelots!
Amazing video as always! The shots and editing were on point...but I keep thinking about how much I want to get some Family Mart socks lol. I can't unsee it! *I made this comment BEFORE the end of the video...
Hahaha they’re actually so comfy too! 😅
So good, thanks Hannah. So much snow when it's hot counterintuitive as always but makes for some great shots. (Didn't know that Peak Design also makes hiking poles... 😄. @1:29 @3:03 @6:16 @6:57 @7:11 @10:02 @11:11 @11:41 @12:05 @14:20 @15:13... 👌)
I like the way you travel. I'd love to watch other videos as well. Calm😊
Incredible Hannah!
