So looking forward to Eta prime! Eta is clearly capable of going 140 kph or more. Will be interesting to see if Eta prime is faster still.

what happened after the crash? had you rebuild the whole bike? and is the safety for the driver compareable to a f1 car?

+velo1337 we had to repair the bike, but in the end it was fine. The safety is not anywhere near an F1 car, because the race is so different. We race on closed roads with no hard objects that we can hit. So we design the bike to skip and roll across the road, and protect the rider from road rash. So far we crashed a lot, with all our bikes, and the rider was never hurt. It is much safer than riding the bike around Toronto tbh.

+Victor Ragusila That's good. There's a moment in the crash footage when a black object seems to whip out of the bike. I thought that was the rider.

+Elliot Marshall God no, that would be terrible. And quite impossible. The rider actually has a pretty hard time getting in and out (which also raises some safety issues, but we got that covered) and it would be impossible for it to be thrown out of the bike, the frame surrounds him from every direction.

@@victorragusila7519 the bike hits the vertical posts on the side of the road at 00:33. Is that not dangerous?

@@gheegggggg usually yes, it would be dangerous. However the posts on this road were replaced with lightweight plastic ones, that break easily.
