Do you think you could occasionally fit three guys with a stove. Most of the time i would just be using for 2 but occasionally would need for three. Is it do able or would it be better to move up to the redcliff
I know this comment is 2 years old but the Backfire 2 channel showed took this tent with 3 people and a medium seek outside stove. It worked but they had to keep most of their gear outside the tent under a tarp. What did you end up going with?
Tyler, I bought the Cimmaron Light and selected the large stove. It’s not really large. Large is a relative thing here. For me, and how I hunt and camp, the stove can do double duty as a heat source and as a flat surface to cook on. The large stove just barely provides enough cooking top surface for my gear and style.
Depending on the weather you could experience some condensation because of the signal wall design. The more air flow you are able to get in the tent, the less condensation you will have. A lot of guys will try to pitch the tent different ways to get air flow under it to prevent condensation. If you're running the stove in the tent you most likely will not get any condensation at all and it can get very warm in there for drying gear!
Clayton Parkinson the one on the left is an Outdoor Research (OR) alpine bivy. This model has been replaced by the stargazer this year according to their Canadian website.
The Cimmaron Light I received last week has no anchor loops for the red stakes, just loosely threaded yellow para cord. I am mystified about how the red stakes fit into the cord, or if they don’t. I have been backpacking for 45 years and never have I seen a more opaque product. For something that is marketed as easy to use out of the box, this isn’t. The two pages of instructions are ridiculous. No drawings, no clear explanations, just gear nerd jargon. For a thousand bucks (tent and stove), you would think this would be better explained or easier to figure out
goHUNT drill down into the fine details. Show each small step, slowly. Explain things carefully that seem obvious to you, because you are guaranteed that many people are utterly confused by the same product. You will be helping them and thereby yourself
@@GOHUNT One video I can use right now is how to assemble the carbon fiber pole, and then disassemble it and re-pack it the way it came. Mine arrived and I put it together the way that made most sense to me, but when I took down the Cimarron Light tent, I could not figure out how to get the carbon fiber pole back into the compact arrangement it came in. Thanks
The cimarron light is a different set up. NOT the same as the Cimarron. Go watch the videos on SEEK outside's website and you can watch a video that shows the difference of the THREE cimarron models as well as how to set them up.
How have I never seen this trick to make 2 trekking poles into one long pole? That is so genius it's borderline stupid!!!
Yeah I didn't know that either. Never seen it before.
I've been struggling as well and didn't think of that trick, dig it.
Tried it yesterday with my tipi tent and it works great ❤
“These msr pegs work great”. Bends the second one. Lol
How is the teepee in the wind? I am hunting in the plains of Oklahoma.
If put up correctly, it can with stand a lot of wind! It should be fine in Oklahoma!
please ditch the background music!
Which bivys are shown at the end?

@@ClintonFD I ended up going with the redcliff. Very nice and worth the money
What size stove would you suggest with this tent

Can you get these tents with a floor? Hunting in montana late fall id imagin the warmth inside would turn the frozen ground into a mess.
They do not come with a floor. You’re best off just putting down your own footprint. Kydex sheets work great!
I go with the floorless shelter for the full hantavirus experience
I live in humid part of Canada. How the tent manage condensation ? Is it warm but humid or you can dry your gear 100%. Thank

What kind of bivys are those?

Would the stove melt the trekking pole?
If it's not directly touching the stove then you should be good!
what is the problem with the mic????
sound awful. nice video though
Your mic is by far the worst mic ive ever heard in my life

Yes it can be confusing at times. Thats why we try and do as many videos over them as we can. Hope this video helped and thanks for watching!

@@arthurmoreau2386 something is wrong when your tent needs a video or three. I ended up figuring out my Cimarron light
