I was actually thinking based on the sound test I was surprised at how lively it sounded given the flex cut PCB and thin plate, but maybe the top mount helped compensate. Price point and layout probably aren’t for me, but they certainly have a unique aesthetic and design language, and I’ll look forward to whatever they put out next!
Yes. The Magic3 has a 60% and HHKB layout. But the catch is it is a raffle, you might find a "relatively ok" price in the market after shipping in about 2-3 months time
I believe there is an actual keyboard hobby store in Akihabara, it didn't fit my schedule to visit but would be interested in a keeb creator checking it out. Probably need to ask the store for permission to film though. Saw another prototype build that had a non-flex PCB and it was similarly muted. I'm curious if PE would help with the volume.

Only keyboard channel I follow aside from taehatypes, because they both actually give good reviews/advice and know how to touch type lmfao. Mostly joking but if an influential person in a hobby doesn't even try to learn the ONE skill that makes the tool we enjoy useful then they are lazy and shouldn't be considered an authority on the matter. It's like a guy that reviews every new and custom guitar in the world but can't even play chords. Just plucking without knowing how to use all the fingers on the fretboard. Not saying one has to play the most difficult song (or type 120+wpm for 60 seconds). But how do you NOT maximize the use of this item for the ONE thing that it is made for. So much time and money spent on a shiny item but no time to train yourself to make good use of it. Rant over. Shoobs is my guy though for being one of the few exceptions.
for those who have meatrix baord with top mount gasket mount - do you screw in the screws until tight or until the screw meets the plastic part of the gasket?

I love FRL TKLs, even though they’re just a longer 65%. Feels inefficient, especially compared to my ergo 40%, but it looks nice.

Lost of 3 nav key is huge turn off for me though, I use the DEL, END, and PG DOWN key quite often. If only it has FN key to substitute the lost key.

The default PCB layout allows to split Backspace and RShift, the only choice is between WKL and CWKL
