If every character is meta, players feel overwhelmed because they don't have the resources to build everyone, leading to a sense of never being able to catch up.
this, im a low spender, and MFF is actually good at not making this game overwhelming. we can just focus at one meta character or one favorite character to build while still having fun in all of the content. a lot of it is actually bcs the help of content creator to guid which character to build
Absolutely. This killed Strike Force for me. I couldn’t keep up and couldn’t progress through the game cause the meta changed so fast. 100% agree with you
To be honest, I think you''re looking into this with the wrong lens. Good updates don't equal to great characters only. We could have new gamemodes, updates to stuff that is already there, reward or gameplay, new daily challenges, new requirements for stuff, new uses for the 200 plus characters the game has. It's not about getting updates to the meta, or at least it shouldn't be. The Barbie simulator thing really messed up our way to see this game, the fun factor is not in building characters and buying uniforms but using them
I agree about good updates but to me building the characters is the most fun. If I could auto clear all I would. Idk how many characters ive built and never use since t4s released😂
Good updates DO equal great characters though when it comes to games like MFF. It's a collection game, that's what it is. Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes does the only good updates thing with new characters just being better because they tried just adding content but players didn't care if it didn't end with a great character. It's why that game is in a garbage place.
@@roji556 but it's not JUST that and, in fact, I would argue that's a smaller part of the game than you think. Like, they could make the gamemore interesting with requirements like "only characters with uniforms from X year can enter this stage" for example... It gives older players an use for all the same character uniform they purchased. You can have good updates without adding characters if you focused on the gameplay and gamemodes. Why would you even build any character if you're not going to use it in a game? If you're playing for the sake of collecting, you don't need to build any of it and if you want to build for whatever reason, you don't have much insentive to push World Boss Legend beyond Knull 20 (which only proves that we need more investment in the gameplay and gamemodes). The characters means less than where you use them and the problem with this game is the pointless build up to keep doing the exactly same thing but faster. We need more new little things, like that minigame in the Black Widow Legendary Battle
It's a need for a balance. Too much of a good thing is just not meant to last. Mid content can make us appreciate the good/great updates. Hopefully deadpool and wolverine will be great. It's too bad for the bad updates but needed. It sadly seems the list of characters that need buffs keeps growing. You would hope the devs would get it closer to right the first time. For example if a character is geared towards pvp give them ignore and other skills to go up against the top metas and a better chance to survive and win. I admit at least 5+ uniforms I skipped. Agreed that buffing one character a month could go a long way. Here's hoping. Wbl I'm progressing here and there. Here's hoping they buff rewards for higher difficulty.
I don't know why this is so hard to understand. There should never be an update with a useless new character or uniform. They should at least be on par with every other character. And then occasionally an update should push the meta. What this games lacks and always has lacked is BALANCE.
I've had this exact thought before when we get a mid to low update. I'm like, good, I can ignore this shite and continue to build the characters I was already building last month like Sentry or SS. I win either way. It is unfortunate that Mr Fantastic didn't get a glow up though as he is also one of my favorites, but Johnny did and that's good enough for me.
This is more of finding a silver lining situation than this actually being a good thing. It is true that updates like this make them easy to skip. And when we can easily skip an update that gives us time to save up materials for future stuff that we actually want. But that's not good for the game. T There's a limited number of updates a year, and when we have updates that are literally just 2 crappy uniforms it doesn't inspire players to play or spend. The game can't just be about characters. Some misses on characters are fine if there is good CONTENT to make up for it. Every character shouldn't and can't be meta, but the devs seem to keep relying on characters/uniforms and not much on replayable, fun content. And while I understand your point about people upgrading or buying the uniforms of their favorite characters, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how pretty the uniform is if you have no where to use them.
Appreciate the video but please don’t give the devs a pass for mid updates. Especially at this point in the game if we want to see it continue we need it to be great. Player engagement decreases and is eroded with mid updates. Game modes, content balancing, character buffs, and more are still needed. As one of the biggest content creators we need you to be vocal about how the game needs to keep improving
Hey remember Echo T4 or Cyclops T4 yh that's a long term fck up...there's when updates should be mid not trash...The devs can't seem to understand that...but at least this one wasn't bad it just didn't touch the meta🧐🧐 Longevity is important but so is quality and satisfaction
In MSF you can skip teams at your choice if you don't care about the game mode they are for. I would rather have new characters be relevant for something rather than go months at a time skipping characters that aren't relevant for anything. It gets boring. MFF needs to do a better job making the updates matter.
This is honestly spot on. It’s exactly what drove me away from Strike Force. It was impossible to keep up with. As an MFF player of 8 years who spends a little money on it a month but nothing crazy, if that was the case here, I would be out. For example, I started building Adam and now just need Soul of the Faltine to T4 him. In the time it’s taken me to T4 him, Sentry came and took him out of the meta. But if I switched gears, this would keep happening and I’d never T4 anyone. However, Adam will still be great for my account overall in many game modes so though he may not be the best, he’s still a clear net gain for me. Meanwhile, I’m able to pump out multiple T3 and Transcendence characters in the meantime to give relevance to other characters and make progress without needing to spend money or anything. Compared to other Marvel mobile games, they have a way better system, even if it’s not perfect
I couldn’t disagree with you more. Every update should have substance to keep the players engaged. There hasn’t been new content, no rework to existing content, and releasing incremental improvements to new skins ain’t gonna cut it. Many areas in the game to improve and the development team are not operating at their best. Numbers don’t lie and anniversary events can’t keep the game alive for long- dirty_gck910
Invisible Woman needs a buff she is the first blast human hero for a 16 month since Sharon and she is with the thing in the gutter but she is 6600 crystal character
i play strike force just to casual grind 1 or 2 characters the worse thing for me is the spotlight raids as pretty much all the teams are paywall it is getting annoying
Every update can have good to okay-ish characters that people can skip and work on more important characters. Helps the f2ps to advance in the game. Apart from that, each update should cater to atleast 1 gamemode changes or a new gamemode, and if they choose the latter then it shouldn't be like the franklin quest.
I understand Alex. I get it. Remember Godzillanator goodbye video.? I wish the original Marvel Characters were honored in this game. I Miss you roasting the DEVS periodically bcuz it was true & funny. Let's Not start boot lickn Now.
Meh. I appreciate that he’s honest and not just attacking for shock value and clicks. It makes him more trustworthy and I’m not really interested in tearing down something I enjoy.
no lol. i get people's point but a good update doesn't equate to 5 new meta breaking characters. the best updates we can remember don't have that, it's game mode stuff. stuff to make things more fun for players. 2 new useless t4s aren't fun for anyone bc the t4 grind is impossible and normal players can't just spare the cost of a native t2 t4 just for fun.
Side note: really enjoying the Eldin Ring streams! Doing a play through of the base game through the dlc with friends and we haven’t gotten to meet up enough to play the DLC yet so it’s cool getting to see some of it!
Having every updates to be meta is what actually killed KOFAS. Every new fighters in an update, is the new meta than the last update. Every. Single. Time. And when that's not enough, NM introduced a new higher rarity, and that cycle repeats itself.
As a f2p...yes. I don't want the meta to shift with every update. I'm fine with a chaacter being awesome for one mode and let a whale build them out for the hero female whatever day. Great. For me I like to build one up and I will hoard mats so at any time I can hopefully (hope) to get a big dog when it drops but I can't do that if it drops every update. I like the breaks in Meta changes so that I can slowly build out everyone else. I still have some T1 (non free - or free but I don't really have T2 tickets) that I use to burn in shadowland early stages and then T2 where there are some level 60 which I hardly use but like to build those up slowly
I have always had an irrational hatred of Thing. I can’t explain it. He was annoying in the cartoon when I was little, so he is the character I have done the least with.
This I agree with. If you have a higher cost on the character, they should be better. It’s why I have liked that they are T4ing a lot of the natural T2s cause people upgraded them for a higher cost at the time because they were better at base level and worth it. Totally agree with you that Blue Marvel being a high cost and difficult to obtain character should have a better pay off than he does now
It's really been a while where they changed prices for old uniforms from crystal to gold, i need that update to buy all the old uniform at least uniform from 2 years ago and above.
Personally, I dont mind the occasional bad updates. I like them because I can save or invest resources into building something else. The fantastic four are okay. Human Torch is great and Invisible Woman has debuff removal. The main issue is the multiverse saga deluxe pack and to some degree emblems.
yes, having bad updates from time to time is ok BUT the problem is that most of MFF updates lately are bad. Can we have some good updates from time to time? Even if the characters are not meta can they be useable? Like the F4 team are not even useable in other world battle. It makes no sense that the warriors of the sky team (which are a B/C class in owb) are better than them
Kinna salty I’ve had a 6* Madelyne artifact from a random gold pull chest for about 2 months but have no intentions of spending for her 😒 what to do???
I really don't like how the same characters get uniforms. Can someone tell me who the best speed or blast type characters are without a uniform? New players should know the answers to this because this it where you are. Wait, they never made a place in pvp or in-house clan crucible. Damn that's sad, so you can only get your ass kicked and call it fun. Smfh
The update is normal. Mostly. A token event where you can snag some of the goodies in a shop. Character and/or character uniforms with Tier updates and so on. A matching special collection event. Another rotating event menu (Gold shop in this case). The only difference is Multiverse Saga here but that's more a plus paradigm. On the event itself then there is no up or down, it's just going rate. Then it becomes a matter of hype and in focus. The F4 are in your eyesight today (this is called a heatmap btw). What will be a week from now. So minding the hype or you going to pour your resources into Human Torch? Or into Sentry or Silver Surfer for example? Will your Human Torch do better as a Flame character than Phoenix for example? A week or two goes by. It's time for another event. More uniforms and such. Did you blow your Crystals on F4 because hype dictated Reed's uniform was the stuff and now there is something you have been Jonesing available? Is Human Torch now the Nebula to Winter Uniform Rogue and useless to you? The game has an economic system. It's important to think in terms of budgeting is all I'm saying here. Is the event terrible or great? No. It's the usual fare regardless. If the character you love is here then it's a good day for you. And again otherwise Multiverse Saga is it's own subject to have an opinion about. Clearly more players than not have a low one of it.
Oh yeah, I finished Multiverse Saga. Actually I did a couple days ago. I got enough Val bios to T2 her and then just went over for the lulls. I think that Doom fight is just boring af. Anyway like most Epic levels I'm closing that one until next time.
I dont think it was a bad update. They have some really nice team synergy. Use Franklin, with artifact, Valeria lead and thing support. Use this for a really good conquest team...
I agree with you, and honestly, I think the only thing that NM needs to do, is to give us more good updates vs bad updates, because unfortunately there are more bad than good, and that's the opposite of what this video is trying to say.
It’s not about always having metas every update, but at least buff the ones who either never were meta or have been stagnant for 4, 5, 6+ years at least
I find it weird the way people get so worked up over meh updates and things. If everything is always a hit and always better that's the power creep they bitch about. Then the other thing is even good updates become bad because they don't hold up to this or that especially compared to a previous thing. It's quite stupid. Highs and lows are essential basically and a part of everything.
They don’t have to put out characters that are better than the previous characters, just on par with them. It would give players variety in who they want to play rather than being limited by the handful of meta characters. PvP is a bigger problem, because they don’t ban enough of the meta characters to make other teams viable, and making native T2’s and seasonal uniforms meta is bs. That’s not the slightest bit f2p friendly. Luckily, outside of PvP, you don’t need to follow the meta. Near-meta or S-tier characters are good enough. I don’t think bad updates are good. They need to do a better job of making all characters, at least, near-meta, and without bs paywalled mechanics.
Well human torch might be the best blast male now. Only downside not much content to use him in. They should switch up these abx/abl requirements because it’ll force players to build and use more characters. At this point using magneto and Luna boring af because you have to use them so much. Mr fantastic needs a buff. He has the abx artifact but he’s so useless
Honestly the way marvel strike force is struggling is the same exact reason Kofas (King of fighter All-star) died. Rapid power creep replacement of meta characters every 3 weeks. It killed the game.
Unequip costs and you're talking about unequiping 20 urus!? Whoah! I have a lot ctps I put on characters that I can never unequip because of the unequip costs. That they released unis for and now they don't need that ctp to be used. I wish there was 1 day a year they allowed all custom gear unequip costs to be completely free. Just so I can redistribute them and fix my past mistakes. As a f2p player I'll never be able to unequip any of them. Too many other things are more important. Like epic quest characters and unis.
So it's a pvp perspective rant. Coz new strong character doesn't make previous strong character worse in pve. Ant-man, Gamora and Gwen can all clap Mephisto for fans of each of them, so it doesn't hurt if some fans can finally get their fav character strong. But they get a pvp skip uni for their fav character. Shamazing. Mid update is alienating for pve players. So you decide if it's good.
while I agree making a banger character every update is gonna make players overwhelmed. I think we should balance it with new content to justify mid characters. one banger character update and then maybe an update with rewards buff, and then one update with new game modes
I would stop playing if every update we would have a meta character, I want to keep up with the meta characters but also don't have 500$ to spend every month to do so. So I'm definitely okay saying this update is a skip for me. What I would really like is that when we have this skip characters, at least we would get some content to play ( with this update we got emblems so this update was good in my book ).
Bro. Sorry to say. I dont know what you are smoking. And pls dont lick devs lolipop. Good or bad update depends on the consistency of making a good quality game content at a steady pace. Its not about making meta. Its not about lying to players. Its about the determination to act as said. Be passionate. Its like a kid eagerly reading favourite Marvel comics or excitedly watching Marvel toon on tv. Peace.
then make the mid toons very good in gbr or other pve content .everyone are not focused on pvp. and if you keep tiny buffing new unis then why buy the uni at all????
You're confusing good updates with meta changing updates And you're ignoring PvP completely when you say the game favours ftp balancing. That's just.. not right. Especially when PvP gives u crystals.
Yall gonna keep teiling yourselves whatever to justify the bullshit, ive not been feeling bro for the last 4-5 video been hella wishwashy, dont piss on my leg and call it rain

Doom T4, Victorious t3, Valeria and Franklin. That's all. No new uniforms for f4 now. Next year - MCU debut of f4.

I agree with you, and honestly, I think the only thing that NM needs to do, is to give us more good updates vs bad updates, because unfortunately there are more bad than good, and that's the opposite of what this video is trying to say.
My favorite character is hulking😐
It’s not about always having metas every update, but at least buff the ones who either never were meta or have been stagnant for 4, 5, 6+ years at least
Every update doesnt need to be a banger, but it should be fun or at least a build up to a major game mode update.
Then you should admit more 😔
I find it weird the way people get so worked up over meh updates and things. If everything is always a hit and always better that's the power creep they bitch about. Then the other thing is even good updates become bad because they don't hold up to this or that especially compared to a previous thing. It's quite stupid. Highs and lows are essential basically and a part of everything.
Alex plz do a top 5 list on tribes/groups. Like Defenders, F4, Black Order, and so on.
Although quicksilver isnt super meta hes still my favourite and im happy with how he plays
Broooo I didnt expect ya to be up after all that Elden Ring raging 😂
Я думаю что ближайшее обновление будет посвящено летним костюмам, а потом уже подойдёт время Росомахи и Дедпула.
The funny thing is Thing can go toe to toe with the Hulk, too. He should be a lot stronger.
Was Odin the last character to get buffed during an update?
Possible video suggestion, an updated guide on how you’re farming so much gold maybe it hasnt changed at all from the last video you did on it idk.
I already have 20k crystals saved up, waiting for Black Friday Sale.
Mid? not mid its bad .
This is the worst take an update for new people that suck esp on a p2w game is dumb
what do you think about 1250 crystals costumes?
I think it's a good thing to have some bad updates. It gives us time to skip and save mats
I thanks this F4 update, I skip it and I use my crystals for a crafting P-card.
Peace.
I can understand the statement but if they can barely even compete, what was the point of upgrading any of them.
My profile for motivational quotes and the secrets to success
Let’s me save up resources for the next update I care about
then make the mid toons very good in gbr or other pve content .everyone are not focused on pvp. and if you keep tiny buffing new unis then why buy the uni at all????
You're confusing good updates with meta changing updates
And you're ignoring PvP completely when you say the game favours ftp balancing. That's just.. not right. Especially when PvP gives u crystals.
Bro wbl is not working properly I am trying to enter but it didn't other games mode are running smoothly have u experience also this buddy❤
What on earth are you talking about (re: Marvel Strike Force)? Do you even play the game?
Plz make a pvp and a PvE separate list
Thank you Alex :)
Yeah its weird how this game sort of DE-values my favorite characters from the comics...
Whose favorite character is Thing?
Yep.
Stop with the bs, Alex and start showing more character content. Review Human Torch T4, The Thing’s new uni!!
Question I been playin for a while but keep leavin can anyone tell me how to get to tier 1 plz
You don’t release “mid” for $40 👀
Yall gonna keep teiling yourselves whatever to justify the bullshit, ive not been feeling bro for the last 4-5 video been hella wishwashy, dont piss on my leg and call it rain
well said Alex :)
Or it could just be a Sado- massacistic relationship Lol
You're becoming delusional Alex
Sometimes. What you think should be changed?
Bro trying to justify everything to saty his channel alive 😅..
After this update so many players left the game.. there will be more.. don't worry..
Nice
this is the most cope video of cynicalex ever
Is human touch uni must buy
No. Not in my opinion but maybe you'll have more success
Welp..
