I purchased this tent too take to Cornwall. Just got back from there yesterday. The tent stood upto heavy rain for 18 hours a week ago, then the last 2 days wind with 50 mph gusts and driving rain no leaks at all in the bedroom area and only a slight leakage by the side entrance, nothing significant and as you can pull the groundsheet away from there anyway it doesnt't matter. Two nights temperature went down to 2 degrees the temperature difference between the bedroom and vestibule was massive. No condensation at all in the bedroom but quite a lot in the vestibule. Got a shower climbing out lol. Only to be expected I suppose, the important bit is that the bedroom stays bone dry and it did. I wish that the zips were better as they do feel flimsy and that the poles are a right pain to slide in but they are easier to get out if pushed and not pulled as I found out. All in all I am very pleased , I know that my Tipi tent would not have taken the punishment that this tent did. My little Frenchie was happy in it too lol. I would recommend this tent..Oh and the bedroom area is big, you really could sleep 3 and the vesibule will take a chair, a small table and a camping stove no problem. The side entrance is a bonus too as when it is pouring down opening that doesnt let as much water pour in off the fabric.. I should add that I used none of the pegs it came with. I used the big yellow plastic ones they work a lot better.
Hi Julian that is amazing too hear, yeah I got condensation in the porch erea as well I think it's because the outer fly sheet is really close to the ground, last year we had family holiday in Yorkshire and my daughter had it like a hotel room hahaha, I wish it had better zipps and poles but then the price would treble but as it is its an amazing tent so glad you had a great time buddy. 🤘🤘🏴🏴🏴
This is my “middle” sized tent (in red). She’s been loaned out more times than I’ve stayed in her but she’s coming out in a fortnight as I miss crawling about 😂 and yes, she’s huge. Love her. Thanks for your vid.

Excellent review of this tent I’m thinking of buying, not for backpacking but a weeks holiday in Bath, it seems like it will suit me just fine I should be able to manage it on my own and it’s big enough for my stuff, thank you for that xx
Great fun, yes the Avon 3 is more of a 1 mile stomp to the woods as a group with the weight shared out a bit and have a degree of comfort and space when you get there, the Backpacker DLX is a fun one to try, be sure to use codes/sales for best deals though!! All the best!

Hi yeah got them from aliexpress I think they where around £18 for the pair had to get 400mm and cut them to 382mm glad you enjoyed it and happy camping buddy. 🤘🤘🏴🏴🏴
Can you tell me were you brought the order version, I have brought and returned a newer one as it dose not have the same specifications. The main door is a different shape and dose not have holes for poles. It no longer has privacy curtains because of the nightfall sleeping area. The main poles are now ring and pin and not eyelet style. It now been changed to 2000 Hydrostatic. If you could let me know that would be great as I like the older style.

great tent mate i can,t fault mine i have the tamar 2 and i have been in 40 mph winds and heavy down fall of rain for two day testing it out in the back and it didn,t leak one drop so i was pleased rather pleased at that i have allso been out in january last year up the hills be me in west lancashire and the tent performed great so i stayed 3 days and nights which dropped to zero -5 degree,s and rained on the last night so you won,t get any leaks in that one if its anythink like mine enjoy the only thing i don,t like is the over kill floor lol

@@taffsdestination2369 yes nothing is going through the floor i like my winter camps so at least its ok for that and i have upgraded my poles to alloy ones and the pegs so its a bit lighter now
