No. You can see the void closed on him while he's still inside, and Kenpachi cut and broke free from the void and slashed Gremmy

If you remember, Ichigo’s Dad explained that a zanpakuto size is determined by the users spiritual pressure. And the gotei 13’s zanpakutos would be bigger than cities. If Kenpachi’s shikai is that big, that says a lot about his spiritual pressure.
A few limitations subtley implied about Gremmy's ability:
1) It operates subconsciously. Such as when he started imagining himself losing to Kenpachi and for a moment there he was.
2) He has to constantly remain focused on something in order to maintain what he imagines. Yachiru's bones went back to normal because he couldn't focus on that during the fight.
3) It takes the same amount of time for his imagination to conjure something up as it does for you and me IRL, meaning if you move too fast for his mind to react, he gets flustered and can't keep up.
4) Just like with everything else in Bleach, ultimately it's a battle of spiritual pressure. Meaning if someone has a higher spiritual pressure than him, his imagination will have no effect. Thus why Gremmy never altered Kenpachi's body with his ability (cuz he couldn't) and why Gremmy's body was ripped apart when he tried to imagine himself with Kenpachi's power. The limitations of every power and ability in Bleach begin and end with the extend of one's spiritual pressure.
Not saying that Gremmy's ability isn't broken (it most certainly is), I'm just saying it isn't as limitless as many want to make it out to be. It's ridiculously OP, but in it's own weird way it makes sense how Gremmy could be defeated by Kenpachi just having THAT much strength, speed, and spiritual pressure.

He's limited by spiritual pressure like everyone else in the Bleach universe.

As u already said i dnt even think that anyone needs an explaination... i mean dude fought like 15 ppl at the same time by himself in base, and then went on to fight 3 of the biggest menaces in TYBW.

It was said in the card in Japanese but Gremmy was locked in jail, he was emprisonned and sealed by Yhwach. He had no battle experience, it's not his fault.

Gremmy is on the weaker side. Yes the power seems broken but it's kinda not. He needs 2 of him to imagine the meteor and 8 for the Galaxy room ( outer space move). He obv can't fight more than 1 person at a time. He also can't imagine more than 1 thing at a time. He kinda insta loses against half the captains. If he could one shot someone by imagining it he would have done so. As he said he really wanted to win.
Gremmy is my favorite Sternritter since his debut in the manga. If you want clarifications on his weaknesses, they are:
-He can't turn his power off
-He must focus on things he imagines to keep it active
-The speed of his imagination is limited by how fast he can think
But otherwise, yeah. Probably the strongest Sternritter if he had more experience fighting.
Just a small detail to add to your second reason: He needs to keep his focus if the thing he imagined directly affect someone else's body, for example, "Yachiru's" bones.

@@mranonymous00 his imagination is limited, he can't just kill somebody that's stronger then him. It exhausted him using 2 clones just to increase his imagination's power for a meteor attack that Kenpachi easily sliced in two

I like how flustered Gremmy is portrayed in the fight, I think it makes it a lot easier to not go "why didn't he just imagine X and one-shotting Kenpachi". It's a lot more obvious he's both having a hard time keeping up with the pace of the battle mid-exchange to keep imagining things (like right before he almost imagines himself losing, or when Kenpachi cuts him in the vacuum), and that he is really feeling the thrill of the battle. I think it also softens the ending a little, where the desperation in his voice helps play into the idea that Gremmy was blown away by Kenpachi's raw power beating him time and time again that he decided that the only way to win is to just imagine himself with more raw strength than Kenpachi, but didn't account for the durability of his own body.
He does prove that he has a hard limit on his powers. He needs 2 of him for the meteor and 8 for the Galaxy room( the outer space move) . This means that he is somewhat limited. He obv can't fight more than one person at a time. He is already keeping the imagined body and his mental state in check. Imo he might be one of the weaker quincies
True, the anime really depicted his incompetence and lack of battle experience perfectly. Kubo tried his best to convey it really well in the manga but it was just impossible cuz of the medium. Now it's finally being conveyed the way it was meant to be.

I really wished they showed everybody’s reactions to the meteor or maybe dragged the episode into the next episode cause anime watchers are going to think that Gremmy wasn’t “all that” even though he had an OP ability but people should know that it’s literally like that in the manga, anime watchers were probably thinking this fight was gonna last longer than that.
the thing that they didnt include animated is that, in the manga panel, the moment when gremmy imagined the meteor to fall under seireitei, everyone panicked. Including the quincies and shinigamis fighting, even jugram himself asked quincy soldiers to protect ywhach right away, it was terrifying lmaoo

You recalling how Yachiru uses the same technique to fight that Kenpachi used against Tosen is a remarkable memory, very impressive
His Shikai being a huge cleaver is perfect since cleave means to split or divide, he states that "he can cut anything" which is due to his absurd strenght but we can't discard the possibility of Nozarashi being able to diminish or even ignore durability.
Also, that scene of Kenny turning into his kid form hits hard af. It wasn't just him feeling young again it was everyone who grew up on this shit, it simply "hit different".

Honestly man I love how you get so giddy over the most quick and smallest details just in voice acting alone, I love that! I also freaked out a little and got excited with Isane's Voice Actor just saying that one line "get away from them, HURRY!"
In the CFYOW Light Novels they explain that Gremmy was basically locked away all the time before the battle, so he was basically super inexperienced and also sorta childish due to his limited exposure to the world. That's why he wasn't as smart/rational to simply kill Kenpachi, he sorta just went along with his urges and started to enjoy the battle so he gave into it and wanted to beat Kenpachi in an actual fight to prove he was "stronger" because he's an irrational child.
Jett here really actually called it with Yachiru being his sword, that's impressive
Notice that in the flashback when Kenpachi asked where she came from she literally pointed to the sword. Also keep in mind that this flashback is literally a redone version of the one that happened after he lost to Ichigo way back in the soul society arc, also right after the flashback he asked his sword why it didn't talk to him and Yachiru was right there at that moment, also when ichigo first saw yachiru he never said "who is she" he said "what is she" implying she is not "human". Yachiru was shown to be his Zanpakutou since the damn soul society arc and we never noticed. Kubo is a genius, nobody doing it like him, shit was subtle as fuck but it literally showed her being Kenpachi's Zanpakutou form the very beginning

I was flailing in excitement like crazy this episode. And holy fuck, I got mad chills when they played UNOHANA'S BANKAI MUSIC. I guess symbolizing that he really is officially and truly taking on the mantle of Kenpachi. What a hype episode.
Side note: It's only recently hit me how pretty Isane's face is. With Bleach waifus, I've always been focused on Matsumoto's melons and Nemu's legs, but Isane's face is gorgeous af.

Basically, yachiru's "shikai" are 3 blades, hers and the 2 monsters.. When she slashes something the other monsters slashes before her blade and the other one after.
This guy is so on point with the predictions its unreal.
Yachiru's shikai is basically if i aim at the right moment or if i attack you at the right moment it doesnt matter whether you are going to hit me you will 100% miss and i will 100% hit

Aight bro, so Sanpo Kenju, Yachiru's shikai, kinda just artificially extends the reach of her sword. She has some monsters that attack when she does, cutting both behind her further in front of her. I believe the subtitles overcomplicated her ability in the anime.

When yachiru attacks sanpo kenju follows the front and back of her blade in otherwords she hits before during and after her swing 3 swings in one not undodgeable but very hard to dodge it mimics the swing of her arm following its exact path and also it just made her bones cookies not broken bones in a painful way just skin that cant move anymore

TLDR Yachiru’s shikai makes her strikes hit before, during, and after her swings
The subtitles made it a bit hard to understand, but Yachiru's Shikai is simpler than it looks.
Basically, she summons her little beast buddies and swings the sword. One beast will always follow her swing from the front and the other from the back. Effectively turning each strike into three. While it seems very basic, when you're in a sword fight, having three swords moving in perfect unison is quite tricky to deal with. It's a very 11th Squad pure brawling Zanpakuto.
But its weakness is that since the beasts only copy Yachiru's swing, her attacks are all very linear and predictable after a while.

The reason why Kenpachi's shikai is big because of the unbealivable amount of spiritual pressure he has just like Ichigo's butcher shikai which cannot be sealed as a normal sword because also of high spiritual pressure.

3:57 Isane thought Yachiru was calling out her zanpakuto spirit to materialize. In bankai training, zanpakuto spirit can be called out to materialize, but in shikai training, shinigami always go into their zanpakuto spirit inner world instead. Another thing is Yachiru's shikai retains it's zanpakuto sealed form. Yachiru is a special case. We'll get to that eventually.

To explain what isane said she’s basically saying only bankai can manifest things into the world. Bankai is said to mean bringing the zanpakuto/zanpakuto spirit in their world while shikai is only borrowing the power. Unohana’s shikai turned her sword into a flying sting ray toshiro’s shikai can create a ice dragon but it’s not a separate manifestation of a another thing. Yachiru’s sword manifested two being without changing its form similar to what a bankai would do.
