Gus Fring is one of the top 5 best villains on televison ever, IMHO. Brought to life brilliantly by Giancarlo.
Nope
THE BEST
Q from TNG, The Mayor from Buffy, Ramsay Bolton, GoT. The Cigarette Smoking Man, ‘The X-Files’. There are some great villains. But he's right up there.
Anton Chigurh is my nightmare
Ashish 21 nope the best is walter.
I wouldn't call Q a villain. At the TNG finale he helps Picard saving the universe...
That voice is just not what you would come to expect from him, it's quite friendly and approachable as opposed to the menacing Gus, lol.
Ever see him in Do the Right Thing? The original YO
You mean, like, acting?
That's not Gus. IMPOSTER!!
To be fair, Gus Fring is a very friendly successful neighborhood businessman... And some side jobs but let's just put it away for a while🤣
Duggy ye but gus has like a kind approachable public facade
What kind of a man talks to DEA.
A rat
No man at all.
A crippled little rata
@@PuffySofty is that how you want to be remembered?
LOOK AT ME!
He doesnt even resemble Gus.. Not only mannerism, but the way he keeps his face
Talk about a GREAT actor
Really thrown off that he sounds like a normal guy and not exactly like Gus.
On the set: (Flamboyant, animated, laughing) "Sorry, sorry, I messed up, lemme try that line again." (Turns back into Gus)
r/accidentalracism
How is that racism?
Samuel Irvin I had the same reaction when I saw Bryan Cranston or Aaron Paul in other stuff. It’s just a testament to how great Breaking Bad is. Giancarlo Esposito beIng Latino doesn’t have anything to do with it.
Esposito isn’t Hispanic, he’s half-Italian, half-African American.
Giancarlo is Italian for ‘John Charles’.
The guy to Giancarlo after getting his tattoo: Is this satisfactory?
Giancarlo(Gus) : it is acceptable.
I give you the only guy who can sweep up trash in a fast-food parking lot and still be intimidating.
Esposito is such a gentleman. He always turns to talk to the co-host and other guests in every interview
This jovial, happy-go-lucky man played the greatest, most menacing and spine chilling villain in fiction history. Unbelievable.
To the people who for whatever reason still haven't watched Breaking Bad, but want to. You might wanna skip this video.
Thank you. Yes, I do exist.
And start with Better Call Saul, working your way up to BB. Tell me how it is for you after you're done with the whole thing. I wonder how things would be if I've started with Better Call Saul first.
@@ploidz I disagree. Always watch in release order, if you watch something for the first time. Prequels usually require some knowledge of the original work. There will be moments you won't really understand, if you haven't watched the original.
please start watching it, you owe it to yourself
lol dude. maybe not the time to bring up your 'life lesson'. Someone pointed out that there are spoilers in this interview. Good on him, I'm sure people appreciate it. Lighten up.
My wife and I were at an Ohio Comic Con and Giancarlo stepped away from his booth and came out behind the sheet like 5 feet from us and said "hello" to us. My wife let out a little scream and kidney punched me. Now anytime I watch a show and see him, I remember the pain I felt from that judo chop I received.
When he said he was pulling up his trousers to reveal something I thought it was gonna be an ankle holster with a revolver in it like the one Gus has in better call Saul.
Gus is one of the greatest villains of all time
I met and greet Giancarlo Esposito at CC in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Such a wonderful actor and human being
يا حظك
Giancarlo came to comic con Lima and I met him personally. I can say he's such a good person and actor!!!
Plot twist: he shows him a tattoo of a wheelchair.
Giancarlo: AHH!
It’s lovely to see him smile. I just got done watching about eight episodes of Breaking Bad, where the whole time, never saw Gus genuinely smile and saw him slit one of his henchmen’s throat with an exacto knife. Gheesh! Now that I’ve seen the actor smile, I can now relax and be like “ok, he’s just playing a character, he’s not a complete monster irl”.
"explain yourself"
I would like to see him working with Tarantino and Scorsese.
Damn his accent is so good in the show I thought it was real.
Giancarlo's Spanish was pretty bad, but I also thought the accent he was using on the show was his own accent.
Man, Gus Fring really played Giancarlo well
He is such a good actor.Surely one of the best villain if not the best villain.
Wtf is wrong with the Crowd?
@@DarkPhantom747
WTF did Bill Burr do to them?
Why do you ask that?.
I noticed that the crowd isn’t into it at all. Such a shame that GianCarlo doesn’t get the respect he deserves
MALIRIPPA It wasn’t that funny?
The story wasn't funny, hes not a good story teller.
Los Pollos Hermanos is hiring I believe.
After The Mandalorian he will be loved at Comic-con forever
Lame crowd
That's a good thing. Don't encourage them.
@@lynnturman8157 Yep!
he has gotta be the future morgan freeman with that voice
Breaking Bad is the TNG of crime dramas. Those characters are going to be remembered for decades.
I got to interview Giancarlo a couple years ago. Definite high point. :)
Big fan of Mr. Esposito since his days as Mike Giardello on Homicide: LoTS. Met him at an IGN Convention a couple of years back and he signed my out-of-print Homicide DVDs. Wonderful person, intellectual and down-to-Earth
I’ll never forget meeting him at Richmond CC. He complimented my Gus cosplay, and was astounded to learn I knew about he and Elizabeth Mitchell reuniting on OUAT (they did the short-lived Revolution together).
I can’t wait to see what he does with Mof Gideon. He plays bad guys so well and the Mandolorian has some great writers and directors. I have high hopes.
LMAO I saw the actor at Dick's Sporting Goods the other day 😂😂
2:48 wtf!?
it's 3 am and i think i might woke up my neighbours by laughing like a madman 😅💀
Jeff Winger and Pierces Brother
In all seriousness he seems like a genuinely cool dude
I still love him from that movie, Fresh
Loved his character a true gentleman and professional playing it fair until you happen to cross him and interrupt his workflow. The same goes for many of the other characterson the show you both loved and hated them and that was one of the best things about the show imo.
It's so weird hearing him without his Gus accent
Giancarlo will always be "The Dentist" to me. payday 2 baby! such an amazing actor tbh. love his style
He was hilarious in Noting To Lose
Some actors basically play themselves (Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Downey Jr). This dude transforms himself.
Giancarlo Esposito is a crazy good actor.
I know it’s kind of on the nose, but I’d love to see Giancarlo as “2 face” against Batman.
He’s gorgeous.
Jeff Winger & Gilbert in the same room again!
Imagine being that fan watching this video
What kind of man talks to the TBS. No Man
He's as much of a gentleman as Gus is.
What really amazes me about this man is he is NOTHING like his character. He is a chameleon.
When actors portray characters, they generally use some of their own life experiences to help them with the portrayal. Gustavo Fring and Giancarlo Esposito are polar opposites. Fring is a cold-blooded killer, and while I don't know Mr. Esposito personally, he seems to be an energetic, sweet extrovert.
This highlights the brilliance of his Fring portrayal. He is nothing like this character.
Same goes from Bryan Cranston.
Everyone talking about gus, but he'll always be "the dentist" for me.
That would've been funny if someone walked up to Esposito as Buggin' Out....Now that would be something!
He is soooooo nice❤️
코난쇼은 전세계에 방영되야한다👌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Wait, my brain is saying no to his voice coz i was soooo used to Gustavo Fring lol
I like this actor and the character he plays
This is kind of awkward because I'm going to comicon to see him
what an incredible method actor this guy. he’s is literally nothing at all like gus
Love this guy!
Gus: _"Get a tattoo of me on your other leg............. Do it."_
I would never have every imagined that Buggin' Out grew up to be Gustavo Fring.
Gus is so cold and intense and Giancarlo is the opposite of that.
Wow that's a chill Gus Fring. I am not used to see that
You have something that I want, you may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of, but you do not. In a few moments, it will be mine. It means more to me…
-Moff Gideon
Top 3 Giancarlo Esposito's Roles
1st Akela "Mowgli's wolf dad"
2nd Frank Dawson
3rd Jorge
People treat their bodies like scratch paper nowadays
Pretty sure tattoos have been around for millennia.
I still find him scary even though he is out of character as Gus fring . Best villain ever 👍🏽
In my opinion Giancarlo is the best actor in Breaking bad
I don’t know why but somehow I knew it was Joel McHale even though only his arm was showing in the beginning.
Impeccable.
Gus: "It is a terrible thing; what happened at the ranch yesterday..."
Jesse: (dripping with sarcasm) "What...oh, you mean the guy who got his head blown off? Yeah".
This will go no further, it will be settled down right here, right now
Okay the last four random Conan clips in my recommended have all had Joel McHale behind them I think he’s following me
tough crowd
I see his face grew back then, that's good.
Buggin' Out from Do The Right Thing.
2:34. Andy said a similar thing during Kaley Cuoco interview
Los poeos heRRRmanos
Rayo Verde pollos
+Elegant Butterfly We know. He's just mocking the way people say it in the show
You guys know how Vince Gilligan got giancarlo(Gus)..well HE KNOWS SAUL WHO KNOWS A MAN WHO KNOWS ANOTHER MAN..
Gus has been I’m soooo many movies....it hard to keep up!
Even though most people remember him as Gus I will always remember him as bugging out from do the right thing👍🏿💯
Ha his actual voice cool
He should get a tattoo of a skull on half his face.
#Giancarlo Esposito he’s the James Earl Jones of this generation
Still feels like Gus pretending haha
brilliant actor one of the best death scenes ..
He is awesome!
Giancarlo Esposito displaying emotions feels so wrong
He'll always be Yoyo to me from Night on Earth.
Would anyone agree than giancarlo can play a classy hitman
DING DING DING DING!!!
It’s so weird hearing him speak without an accent
He's like a black Ray Manzarek
true , he has a similar voice tone
I love Breaking Bad but to me Giancarlo will always be Buggin Out. "Hey Sal, when are we gonna get some black people on these walls!" "HATE!!!"
Wow Gus Fring is here. Stand up guys.
Always impeccably dressed!
Joel Michale is like an older version of Ryan Reynolds.
yeah yeah, everybody here is (with good reason) talking about Gus Fring; Anyone else see "Left" from Mo' Better Blues?
Is the crowd asleep tonight? Geez, show some energy!
Goes to show you how important the crowd is to a talk show without them doing there part a person cam just start rambling until they find a punchline that hits
